The End of the Story

If Only

Days change. Dini blinked her eyes and saw Dimas beside her still soundly asleep.

Early approached and gave a brief peck on Dimas' cheek.

Dimas opened his eyes and smiled at Dini.

"Did I wake you up?" ask Dini.

"No," Dimas replied by wrapping his hand around his waist Early and pulling it, making Dini fall over Dimas's body.

Dimas' phone rang, making Dimas immediately release Dini from his embrace. Dimas picked up his phone and was silent for a while before receiving the call.

"You take a shower baby, I'll eat breakfast first!" dimas said, then walked out of the room and received the call.

"Okay," replied Early and went into the bathroom.

After Dini finished bathing, she immediately approached Dimas who looked agitated.

"What's up?" ask Dimas Early.

"I don't think I can anterin you go home baby" replied Dimas not excited.

"No papa, I can go home alone" said Dini.

"I can't let you go home alone Andini" said Dimas.

"I'm here because I miss you, I understand your busyness Dimas, I won't bother you as long as I'm here, so don't worry about me, okay?"

"I tried to call mom first, you can go home with mom and dad later!" dimas said, then called his mother.

Damn, mom and dad Dimas left the hotel last night. They broke their plan to spend the night at the hotel yesterday.

"I take a shower first while thinking about how to not join the meeting later in the afternoon, you wait in front of ya, just a moment the food came!" dimas said then went into the bathroom.

He just nodded his head and sat on the sofa. Shortly after Dimas' ordered food came, Dinipun received it and put it on the table.

After a long wait, Dimaspun came out of the room dressed.

"Would you like a meeting now?" ask Dimas Early.

"I have to meet the director of company X to tell you directly that I can't attend the meeting," replied Dimas then sat next to Dini while opening the food order.

"Why? it must be an important meeting, right?"

"I'm not going to let you go home alone Andini, that's the strongest excuse I have" Dimas replied.

"But....."

"Here, eat your breakfast first, after this come with me!"

Dini receives a sandwich from Dimas' hands, but he still disagrees if Dimas cancels the meeting just for taking her home.

After finishing his breakfast, Dimas stood in front of the mirror and set up his tie.

Early on he approached Dimas, stood before Dimas and replaced Dimas' hand to tie the tie.

"I know this meeting is important for you Dimas, so do not stay in the meeting just to help me get home," said Dini.

"I admit it because to me you're the most important person in my life, Andini, I'm ready to lose anything in this world as long as it's not my parents and you" said Dimas.

"But I will not be the woman who ruined your career Dimas, I will live with guilt if I do that" said Dini.

Dimas rubbed his face rough then sat on the sofa followed Dini.

"it's an important meeting, if I don't come, maybe everything will not go according to plan, my return next month may be backwards and our marriage is also automatic backwards," said Dimas in his heart.

"I've been here myself Dimas, so I can go home alone, believe me," said Dini with a hand held Dimas.

Dimas then brought his gaze to Dini. He feels like a bad man if he lets Dini go home alone.

He then remembered something, more precisely remembering someone who could help him.

Dimas then took his phone and contacted someone.

"Hello Ndi, where are you?" dimas asked when Andi had received his call.

"Gue's at home, why?"

"Andini in my apartment right now, I can't get her home because there's a meeting I can't stay in, can you pick her up now?"

"I can go there now!" andy answered without thinking.

The call ended, Dimas smiled faintly and put his phone back in his pocket.

"And always respond quickly when it comes to you!" say Dimas in Dini.

"I can go home by myself!" reply Early.

"I learned to be responsible with you baby, even though I can't bring you home, but I believe Andi can take good care of you" said Dimas .

"Are you sure you want me to go home with Andi?" ask Dini with a frown.

"Remain sure, why?"

"I don't think you like it when I'm close to him" Dini replied, recalling Dimas' attitude yesterday.

"I'm jealous of him, but that doesn't mean I don't like him, wherever he's your best friend and he's my best friend, he's a good friend who can take care of you as long as I'm not around" Dimas said.

"Aren't you jealous because I went home with Andi?"

"No, I went home alone Dimas, I don't want you to be angry again like yesterday," said Dini then took her phone at the table to contact Andi.

He immediately grabbed Dini's phone and put it back on the table.

"Can I tell Andi about our conversation with mom and dad yesterday?" ask Dimas Early.

3 Hours passed, Dini was still watching a movie with Dimas in the apartment. Soon the bell rang, Dimas opened the door for Andi.

"What time is the meeting?" ask Andi to Dimas.

"After lunch, but I have to leave before lunch to get everyone ready" Dimas replied.

After a long conversation, Andi and Dinipun say goodbye because Dimas will also prepare to leave for the meeting.

Dimas hugged Dini tightly and kissed her forehead before Dini came out with Andi.

"So she's good Ndi!" said Dimas to Andi.

"Surely, we go back to Dim, successfully make a meeting lo!"

Andi and Dinipun walked up to the elevator to get off. While in the lobby, Andi sees someone she knows.

"Doctor Goddess?" ask Dini.

"Yes," answered Andi briefly and then approached the Dewi Doctor with Dini.

Doctor Dewi who realized the arrival of Andi tried to remain ordinary even though he actually wanted to avoid Andi.

"Hai Ndi, hi Din," said the Goddess Doctor.

"Doctor Dewi must know why Andi Samperin Doctor Dewi right?"

"Yes I know and my answer remains the same, I do not know where Anita is," replied Dewi.

"Dok, please...."

"Anita is happy with her choice Ndi, please don't bother her anymore!"

"I don't intend to disturb him, I just want to know the situation, even if he does not want to see me again at least I can contact him" said Andi.

"As for you, I just got home from work, I'm tired so don't bother me!" said Doctor Dewi then left Andi and Dini just like that.

Andi drove her car out of town X with Dini. When it was half the journey, Andi invited Dini to lunch.

"We'll have lunch first!" andi said to Dini.

They entered the dining room, after finishing their meal, they continued their journey.

"Din, I want to take you to the hill" Andi told Dini.

"To hill deck house?" ask Dini.

"Yes, I was yesterday from there and not much has changed from that hill" Andi replied.

"Okay, I haven't been there in a long time" replied Dini.

Arriving at Dini's house, Andi parked his car at Dini's house and walked together towards the hill.

"Hmmmm.. The air is very fast here," said Dini when he was on the hill.

Early closed his eyes and spun for a while to fill his lungs with fresh air from the hill.

Andi then stopped Dini by holding his hand Dini, making Dini stop spinning suddenly so that it almost fell if Andi did not catch it swiftly.

Andi and Dini sat next to each other under a shade tree that was enough to dissipate the heat of the sun.

Andi then touched Dini's hair and tidied it up, put it behind Early ears slowly.

"What's it say?" ask Dini curiously.

He hesitates, but Adit agrees with his mother.

They call each other at the same time.

"You first!" say Dini.

"You are" said Andi.

"Okay, I want to tell you the good news, no one knows about this but me and Dimas, but because you're my best friend, you'll be the first to know this!" said Dini with a happy look on her face.

"In two months I will be married to Dimas" said Dini with a smile full of happiness.

"Married? two more months?" andi asked in disbelief.

Andi knows that Dimas will soon move to the main company which means that the marriage of Dini and Dimas will be done shortly after the move Dimas.

Andi smiled faintly then hugged Dini tightly. Andi just kept quiet without saying anything. His eyes were glassy, his tongue too weak to speak.

His heart was too sick and painful. It fell deep in a hole of pain that he made himself. If only he did not wish for more, if only he did not want Dini to be his, if only he did not feel more than Dimas, he would have, if he had not been selfish he would not have felt such a painful fall.
