The Collapsed World

Time is running so slow. Dini and Andi are still in front of the ER with the same hope, that Dimas will defend against his pain and everything will go back beautifully as before.

Dini sat speechless with a blank look, her tears had indeed not come out anymore, but in her heart she felt broken.

Likewise with Andi, for him Dimas is his best friend even though Dimas has taken the girl he loves.

He didn't want to lose Dimas just like Dini. Dimas is a valuable person in Early life and Andi although it is not uncommon to misunderstand between them.

"You should be sure Dimas will be fine!" andi said to Dini.

Dini just silently stared at the nanar with teary eyes.

Andi desperately wanted to hug Dini back then, he wanted to rub his back and calm him down. But he knew it was not the right time, he could not have done that when Dimas was dying in the ER.

"I called Dimas' dad Din!" said Andi who only answered the nod of Dini's head.

Andi picks up his phone and calls dad Dimas to let him know if Dimas is in the hospital.

After a long wait, Mom and Dad came. They walked in panic and tears that had wet both of Mama Dimas' cheeks.

"What's up Din? what's going on?" ask Mama Dimas in the Early.

But Dini did not answer the question mama Dimas, he again cried helplessly explaining to mama Dimas what really happened.

"Do you know what happened to Ndi?" ask Papa Dimas to Andi.

"Sorry om, Andi can't tell now," replied Andi while bringing her gaze to Dini.

He did not want Dini to go back hysterical when he heard her tell him what really happened.

"Din, please explain to mama, what happened to Dimas?" said mama Dimas who forced Dini, but increasingly made Dini cry.

"Please aunty don't force it here!" andi said to mama Dimas.

"With my son, I must know what has happened to Dimas, me......"

"Ma, ma'am, don't make a fuss!" papa Dimas tried to calm his wife.

Shortly thereafter the Doctor and his team came out of the ER room.

"Where is my son Doc? He's good, isn't he?" ask Mama Dimas to the Doctor.

"We apologize, the bleeding that occurred cannot be stopped because the gunshot wound experienced by the victim touched his vital organs, we have tried our best but.... God wants something else" the doctor explained.

Mom Dimas lunglai lost his strength and father Dimas swiftly detained the wife.

Everyone there felt as if they had just been struck by lightning upon hearing the Doctor's explanation. Their tongues were so faint that no words could be spoken.

While Dini shook her head in disbelief at all the explanation of the Doctor. He knew Dimas loved him very much, he was sure Dimas would not leave him like that.

"Doctor must be wrong, Doctor can check again, Dimas must have survived Doc, please check him again!" say Early by pulling the robe that the Doctor wears.

"We once again apologize, but her death has been confirmed due to organ failure and unstoppable bleeding" the Doctor replied by removing Early's hand from her robe, but Dini still held it tightly.

"No Doc, no way, Dimas can't give up, please check on him again Doc, I beg you!" said Dini with tears, pleading with the Doctor.

"Udah Din, already," said Andi by releasing his hand Dini from the cloak of the Doctor.

"We apologize that soon the patient will be transferred to the morgue" said the doctor and walked away.

Early in the day, open the door to the ER room and go inside. He did not see Dimas there, he only saw someone lying in a white cloth that had covered his entire body from foot to head.

Dini then approached and opened the white cloth on his head. She screamed hysterically as she watched the face of the man she loved be shut down for good.

"Wake up Dimas, you have to wake up, tell everyone if what the Doctor said was wrong, I beg you Dimas, I beg you," said Dini by hugging the lifeless Dimas.

"You can't go, you promise not to leave me, you have to keep your promise Dimas, let's get up, we go home," said Dini with sobbing sobbing so heartbreaking.

Not only Dini, Andi and mama papa Dimas also feel devastated because they have lost Dimas for good.

A cry of sadness filled the room with tears that could not stop dripping.

Until finally mama Dimas passed out and was taken to another room by papa Dimas. Whereas Andi just stood in his place, letting Dini spill all of his heart before Dimas for the last time.

"Don't stay like I'm like Dimas, open your eyes, we go home the same, I beg Dimas, get up....."

"You ask me to always be happy, but you leave me like a gini, how can I be happy without you Dimas, how can I live my life without you, do not go Dimas, how can I live my life without you, please don't go......"

Shortly thereafter two hospital officials came to move Dimas to the mortuary, but Dini kept him in custody.

"No, I'll call another doctor to check on my husband!" said Dini with still hugging Dimas.

"Din, Dimas must be moved to....."

"No, you're looking for another doctor, if we need to go to another hospital, you know Dimas will not give up, right? you're sure he'll survive, right? Dimas can't leave me Ndi, you know that, right?"

"I know you are devastated Din, but all this has happened, Dimas has tried to survive and with his departure he does not mean he gave up, it's best for him to let him not feel pain again Din!" said Andi trying to realize Dini who has lost his logic.

Dini then pushed Andi strongly, making Andi take a few steps back.

"You are not a good friend!" said Dini who was disappointed in Andi's attitude.

Early and hugged Dimas again, he would not let anyone take Dimas away from him.

"I'm not going to let you go Dimas, I'm sure you're trying to survive right now" said Dini, who was reluctant to let hospital staff take Dimas away.

"Because Din, Dimas is dead, he's happy in his own world, he'd be so sad to see you like this!" said Andi by trying to pull Dini who still hugged Dimas.

"No Ndi, Dimas could not have left me," retorted Dini who was still trying to reach Dimas, but Andi held him tightly so that hospital officials could take Dimas away.

"DIMAAAASS!!!!!" shouted Early as the hospital attendant took Dimas away.

Andi just kept quiet by trying to hold Dini in his arms. His heart had been broken to pieces looking at Dini like that.

The pain he felt at that time was not only because of Dini, but also because he had to lose his best friend.

Early who was in Andi's arms suddenly weakened and fainted.

In her eyes, Dini felt like she was in a big building that she had never seen before.

He walked there yesterday looking for the end of the building but could not find it.

"Dimas, where are you?" ask Dini by taking her steps in any direction.

"Dimaaass!!!!" call Early, but there is no answer.

Suddenly he heard the sound of the door opening, Dinipun brought his gaze towards the source of the sound and saw a light that dazzled his eyes.

Soon the light dimmed with the arrival of someone who made Dini immediately run to him.

But the longer Early run, the more distant a person feels. Somehow Dini could not reach him even though he had run fast.

"I'll always be here, baby, I'll always wait for you here" a faint voice sounded but Early could recognize who the owner of the voice was.

"We have to go home Dimas, many things we have to do," said Dini.

"This is my place Andini, you must go home and move on with your life well" the voice replied.

Early knew it was the voice of Dimas and the man before him was Dimas even though he was standing quite far away from him.

"Why are you telling me to be alone Dimas? you promised me you wouldn't leave me!"

"I don't leave you dear, I don't want you alone either, you have to be sure and believe that I'm always in your heart."

Early on she dropped herself and cried with her head down, suddenly she felt someone holding her shoulders and making her stand up.

A smile of happiness was clearly visible before Dini, but when Dini was about to touch her, the smile disappeared along with the disappearance of someone before her.

He opened his eyes and saw the mother in front of him. He immediately got up and hugged his mother.

"Mom, Dimas went, Ma'am.... he left Early.." said Dini with tears.

"Din's patience, Dimas has indeed left, but his love for you will always be in your heart," replied Early mother by hugging the child tightly.

"Now do not want Dimas go Mom, Dini do not want......."

"Everything has happened Din, this is the best God has planned for you, you must be patient, you must be able to be steadfast and accept all of this."

Time passes with sorrow that never ends. The funeral was over, and all the pilgrims left the graves one by one, including Ana, Adit and the mother.

Only Dini and her mother, mother and father Dimas and Andi are still there.

Dini crouched beside the mound of earth by holding the tombstone that had just been plugged.

Fate had already made his world collapse at that very instant, leaving behind all the painful feelings in his heart, weakening him and pushing him deep into the abyss of grief.

"This is also not easy for mama and papa dear, but you have to let Dimas so Dimas can be calm there," said mama Dimas in Dini.

He was silent with tears without sound.

"Mommy is sure Dimas also does not want to see you like this, he certainly wants you to continue your life happily," said Dini's mother.

"How Early can be happy if there is no Dimas beside Early," replied Early with a trembling voice.

"Dimas will always be in your heart Din, you know that" Andi said.

After a long time there, Early mother, mother and father Dimaspun left the tomb.

"I want to be alone Ndi," said Dini to Andi who was still there.

Andi just nodded her head then walked away leaving Dini alone. But Andi did not really go, he stood not too far from where Dini was.

Dini who was still beside the tomb Dimas then laid himself there. His eyes looked at the sky with his hands rubbing against the mound of earth beside him.

"Don't ask me to make Dimas happy, because your departure is the same as the happy passing of my life" Dini said with tears coming from both corners of her eyes.

"You should know Dimas, you're the greatest happiness I've ever had, you should know that I might not be able to live without you."

"So what should I do now? should I be happy after your departure? no, it's impossible, I'll come with you" Dini said as she turned to the mound beside her with a smile.

"I'll stay here until I come to your place, so wait for me, I won't be long," said Dini with a smile but tears still dripped from both corners of her eyes.

Early then closed his eyes by still touching the mound of earth beside him. He hoped that God would soon take him away from the world that had hurt him, that he would soon meet Dimas and spend his time with Dimas.

Andi who saw that from afar could only endure the tightness in her chest. It was so painful to see Dini destroyed like that.

"why do you have to go Dim? why can't you hold on to Dini? what should I do now? I can only see him destroyed without being able to say anything!" andi in the heart.

After a long wait, Andi then approached Dini. He saw Dini who had been closed with sadness.

"Din, we go home!" andi said slowly, but there was no answer.

Andi then crouched down, carried Dini and took him out of the cemetery area.

Outside the cemetery area, there are still papa Dimas cars waiting Early with mama Dimas and Mama Dini.

Papa Dimas then asked Andi to deliver Dini back to Dini's mother's house according to Dini's mother's request.

Andipun drove his car leaving the cemetery with his mother Dini and Dini who were still closed.

"It's going to be good, right, Ndi?" ask Mom Dini to Andi.

"Maybe it takes a while for Dini to accept this situation Mom," replied Andi.
