The End of the Story

Doubt

Time passes, days change. The clock has shown at 5 pm when Dini is at the stop to wait for the bus.

While sitting at the stop, Dini saw a man running with a female backpack, while behind him some people seemed to be chasing after him while shouting for a thief.

Dinipun immediately stood up from his seat and scuttle the man who was running in front of him. The man fell, when Dini was about to pull the bag that was carried by the thief, suddenly a knife pointed towards Dini and without being able to avoid the knife hurt his hand Early.

The thief immediately got up and ran as Dini grimaced in pain holding his injured hand.

Suddenly a man from the other direction ran towards him.

"Mbak Dini got hurt?" ask the man.

Dini just nodded her head with the pain in her hands.

The man then stopped the taxi that happened to pass and immediately asked Dini to get into the taxi.

"Whose father?" ask Early before Dini gets into the taxi.

"Here you go, you have to go to the hospital!" answer the man.

Without much thought Dini immediately got into the taxi. Arriving at the hospital, the Doctor immediately examined and treated Early wounds.

Luckily the wound was not too deep and Dini was able to go home after getting treatment from the Doctor.

When Dini came out of his room with the Doctor, the man was still in front of the ER room to ask the Early situation to the Doctor.

After listening to the doctor's explanation, the man seemed to breathe a sigh of relief.

Early on remember, the man was someone he had seen for a long time. The man with the black jacket, hat and mask that always make Dini was was every time he was outside.

"Whose father? why did you help me?" ask the man Early.

"I... I. just happened to pass by," replied the man.

"Father don't lie, I often see where the father is and the father also knows my name, please answer honestly who the real father is?"

"I just happened to pass by mbak, I did work in the area and....."

"Stop sir, stop your lies or I'll report you to the police!" say Dini firmly.

"On what basis did you report me to the police? I'm not doing what's hurting Mbak Dini!"

Dini smiled slightly and pulled out her phone from the bag and showed the man some photos.

"This photo is enough to be proof that my father who terrorized me all this time, for months I just keep quiet and try not to ignore the father, he said, but if you don't want to be honest with me, I'm forced to report you to the police station!" say it here and then just leave.

"Wait a minute, please don't do that, we can talk about everything well" said the man.

Dini nodded her head and then invited the man to sit on the bench in front of the hospital.

The man remained silent for a moment before answering. He hesitated but he also did not want Dini to report it to the police.

Early phone rings, call from Dimas. I got a call from Dimas.

"Hello In....."

"Hello baby, where are you now? you're good, aren't you?" asked Dimas who sounded panicked.

Early scrunched his forehead hearing the panic of Dimas arriving. He then brought his gaze to the man beside him and showed his cell phone screen that read Dimas' name on the man.

The man just nodded his head weakly without a word.

Dini smiled faintly and ended Dimas' call and disabled his phone. Dini just quietly waited and before long the man's phone rang.

The man took his cell phone and showed Dini a call from someone he named Boss

"Father lift a loudspeaker" said Dini to the man.

The man then receives a Dimas call with loudspeaker mode as per Early request.

"Ha.. hello mas," said the man hesitating.

"Bather where now? how's Andini doing?"

Deg. I know that voice very well. The voice of the man she loved was clearly heard on the phone of the man beside her.

"Mbak Dini is good, now still in the hospital," replied the man.

"Is your father nearby now? I couldn't connect with him from now on!"

"I'm sorry I'm outside the hospital, maybe it's lowbatt dini, '" the man replied.

"But he's good, right? the wound isn't bad, is it?"

"Yes, Mbak Dini is fine, the doctor said the wound will heal in a few days."

"Yes keep your distance the same Early, do not let Early suspect and always make sure that Dini will be fine!"

Call ended. The man put his phone back in his jacket pocket.

"Since when did you work with Dimas?" ask Dini with a blank look towards the front.

He did not expect that Dimas would go that far to monitor himself. He felt that the trust he gave to Dimas was only in vain because Dimas could not repay the trust he had given.

"I have worked with Mr. Tama for more than 10 years and only 1 year ago I worked with mas Dimas" replied the man.

"Who's your father's name?"

"My name is Yusman, I live in area X" replied Mr. Yusman.

"Why do you want to work like this? do you know what you're doing that's hurting my privacy?"

"I'm sorry mbak, any job I would do to support my 2 twins, I just run the order mas Dimas mbak."

Dini sighed and smiled faintly.

"Mas Dimas would be very angry with me if mas Dimas knew this, please mbak Dini do not do this mbak!"

"I have my own life, sir, and what you and your friends are doing is bothering me, I'm going to talk about this the same Dimas, you can see me again if Dimas does something bad for you!" say Dini firmly.

"But mbak....."

"I beg sir," Dini said with a trembling voice holding back his cries.

"Mas Dimas did this because Dimas wanted to keep mbak Dini, not for any other purpose, I......"

"Sir, please go, thank you for helping me!" dini said then moved from her seat and looked at the nanar towards the front.

Mr. Yusman then stepped away and left the hospital. Dini sat back down and closed her eyes with her hands and cried.

His heart ached as he learned what the silent Dimas was doing to him. He did not expect if Dimas could do that under the pretext of wanting to keep him.

Elsewhere, Andi was in the park waiting for someone to give her a letter.

He had been there for almost an hour, but there was no sign of anyone he knew.

Andi's phone rang, a call from Dini. Andi then received an Early call.

"Hello Din!"

Silence, no sound whatsoever. Shortly thereafter, a voice of someone was heard.

"Hello Din, what's wrong with you? where are you now?" andi asked worriedly.

There was still no answer, there was only the sound of a sobbing Early that was unable to say a word back then.

"Where are you, Din? tell me I can get there now!"

Tuuuuutttt tuuuutttt

The call ended and a message went to Andi's phone.

I'm at hospital X

Without asking much more Andi immediately left the park and drove his car towards hospital X.

Arriving there, he immediately ran in to inquire about Dini's whereabouts. But not until Andi asked, Dini came and pulled Andi's hand.

"Here, you're good, right? what happened Din? you why?" andi asked worriedly.

Dini just kept quiet by pulling Andi's hand to bring her into the car.

Dini immediately hugged Andi and cried in Andi's arms when they were already in the car. Disappointed at Dimas's attitude, he fears his marriage will not go well if Dimas cannot give him the confidence he trusts Dimas.

Suddenly Dini moaned because accidentally Andi touched the wound on his hand.

"You're hurt? wh why? what really happened to Din?"

Dini just silence with a face full of sadness.

"Doctor checked your wound? been lobbied?" asked Andi who only answered the nod of Dini's head.

Andi then re-captured Dini into his arms and kissed the tip of Dini's head.

"I take you home yes, mom is the same brother Adit is not home again, you can tell everything the same I am at home later!" said Andi by stroking the hair Dini.

Dini just nodded her head then released herself from Andi's embrace.

Andi then drove her car to her house. Arriving there, Andi brought Dini into his room.

Andi sat Dini on the edge of her bed and held Dini full of warmth.

He just quietly let Dini calm himself first.

"The evil Dimas Ndi," said Dini with a sob.

"What did you do until you said it was like that?" ask Andi.

Dinipun recounted his meeting with Mr. Yusman and explained what Dimas had done to him in silence all along.

Andi who heard that could not believe what Dimas did.

"gue believes in Andini, I believe in you and I believe in your friendship,"

Dimas' words again ringing in Andi's ears that make Andi more difficult to accept the reality that Dini explained to him.

Of course he trusted Dini, but he could not blame Dimas completely before he heard Dimas' explanation.

"You should meet Dimas and ask him to explain everything Din," Andi told Dini.

"What else does he want to explain Ndi? everything was clear, he could never believe me so he asked people to follow me wherever I went!" reply Early with sobbing.

Andi was just silent, he could no longer defend Dimas in front of Dini but he still tried to think about the positive things behind what Dimas did to Dini.

"We are not married and Dimas has already admitted that Ndi, what if we are already married? what else is he going to do? lock me up at home?"

"I'm sure Dimas doesn't have any bad intentions with you, Din, I know he loves you and....."

"Love or obsession? by asking people to follow me anywhere? do you think it's a natural thing to do for a loved one?"

Andi fell silent again, fearing that it would make things worse if he spoke.

"I love him Ndi, that's why I want to marry him and I've stayed so far with him, a lot of bad things that we've been through and I've given him complete trust but he's just saying it's the same to me!"

"I know you're disappointed Din, I'm also disappointed that Dimas hasn't been able to trust you, but....."

"Stop belain him Ndi, don't belain him again in front of me!" said Dini with a tightness in her chest.

Andi went back to silence and brought Dini in his arms. In his heart he regretted his thoughts that had wanted to go abroad to leave Dini.

If only he had left, who would have embraced Dini by then? who will be the place where Early pour out her heartache? who would give him strength when Early felt fallen and disappointed?

"The attitude of Dimas makes me doubt Ndi, I don't know if my decision is right or not!" say Dini in Andi's arms.

"What decision do you mean Din?" andi asked by stroking Dini's hair.

"Married to Dimas" replied Dini in a voice that sounded so cold.

"Do you doubt your marriage will be any minute away?"

"I love Dimas Ndi the same, but does he really love me or just want to belong to me?" ask Dini with a trembling voice.

Her tears once again shed imagining her dream marriage that was in plain sight shattered due to Dimas' attitude towards her.
