Fighting Together

The clock has shown at 8 pm, Dini sipped her drink while watching the look on the face of Dimas who suddenly changed after reading a message on his cellphone.

"What's wrong?" ask Dini.

Dimas did not answer, he called the waiters and paid, then took Dini away from the cafe.

"Why go home?" ask Dini.

Dimas was just silent, he took Dini to the parking lot.

"Here we go home now?" ask Dini who is still standing in front of the car door.

Dimas was just silent, he began to turn on his car engine without answering Early questions.

"Dimas, answer dong!"

"Lake in!" said Dimas without looking in the direction of Early.

Early who realized Dimas' mood was not good immediately according to, he entered and sat next to Dimas.

Dimas drove his car at full speed. He felt that Dini had lied to him, there was something that Dini did not tell him, there was something that Dini hid from him, there was something bad that he did not know.

Dimas was disappointed in Dini who had broken the promise they had agreed to, the promise to always be open and communicate whatever was the problem even though it was just a small thing.

"Dimas, slowly," said Dini by holding Dimas' hand, but Dimas immediately withdrew his hand.

Soon they arrived at a place that was no stranger to Dini. A beach that used to be closed, is now open to the public 24 hours.

Early followed Dimas out of the car. They walked towards the beach. Even though it was late, the food stalls there were still open, there were still some visitors there.

Dimas brings Dini to the beach which is only lit by the moon and stars. The waves that hit the reef leave a blip that is so beautiful. Because the mood was not good, all the beauty there became invisible in their eyes.

"Andini, I ask you once again, what have you hidden from me?" ask Dimas by holding both shoulders of Early who stood in front of him.

Dini just silently swallowed her saliva. Dimas' attitude scared him, he was sure that Dimas would know his lie.

"Andini answer me!" said Dimas who sounded more assertive.

"Truthfully I am if you still think our relationship is important!" continued Dimas.

"Dimas, I. I'm sorry, I'm sorry" Dini said.

"I don't need your apologies Andini, I need your honesty, answer my questions!"

"I... I....."

Dimas removed his hand from Early's shoulder, he walked closer and closer to the shoreline.

Dini followed Dimas and hugged him from behind.

"Sorry Dimas, I'm sorry, I don't know where to tell you, it's too late and I don't know how to explain it to you" said Dini, still hugging Dimas.

"You know we have the same commitment to our relationship Andini, what is your problem will be my problem too, and vice versa!"

Dini then pulled Dimas' hand and invited him to get away from the beach and sit on a stretch of white sand under the moon and stars.

"Mom asked me to stay away from you" said Dini who of course made Dimas surprised.

"You mean? why......."

"Don't ask me why Dimas, I don't know, I didn't say anything, I asked you to resign from the office and away from you, I was confused Dimas, I was confused, I don't know why mom arrived to ask me to do it," said Dini cut off Dimas' speech.

Dimas then approached to Dini and clutched the girl he loved.

"I'm going to talk to your mother" Dimas said, stroking her hair.

"No papa baby, I want to hear for myself what your mother really wants, I have to know the reason your mother asked you to do it!"

"Relax, we're dealing with everything together, we're talking good to your mother and I'm not going to stop fighting for our future even if it's against your mother," dimas said, looking into the girl's eyes.

Early only silent, tears had inundated both corners of his eyes.

"All that we have been together will not be wasted dear, the heavier our path, the more beautiful the end of our long journey" said Dimas by bringing Dini into his arms.

He held the girl he loved tightly. Although in his heart full of worries, but he tried to convince Dini if everything would be fine.

"Remove your tears dear, everything will be fine" said Dimas by removing the tears Early that soaked his cheeks.

"I'm afraid Dimas, I don't want to be disobedient with mom, but I can't be either......"

Early in stopping his words, his heart was too sick to say goodbye.

"I've told you, I don't care what or who is against our relationship, I will never stop fighting for you because you are my future Andini, you're the only hope of the future I've ever dreamed of!"

"We face everything the same, you have to be sure the same strength of our love dear!" continued Dimas.

Dini nodded, she wiped away the remaining tears on her cheeks and straightened her body. He must believe in the power of his love, no matter how much the wind hits their love tree, he and Dimas will guard it with the power of love they have.

He smiled and hugged Dimas. They hugged each other under the dark, starry expanse.

The day has changed, the morning came bringing a cool breeze to befriend the rays of the sun. She helps her mother cook in the kitchen. Despite the dispute, Dini and her mother still do what they used to do every day.

Once the meal was ready, Dini and her mother immediately ate their simple breakfast menu at the dinner table.

"Are you ready for your resignation, Din?" ask Mom Dini who made Dini stop her eating.

"Just go, ma'am!" he said without answering his mother's questions.

Dini picked up the briefcase beside her and immediately walked out of the house. He walked to the highway to wait for the bus.

Early phone rings, call from Dimas.

"Where's honey?" ask Dimas after Dini receives his call.

"At the stop" replied Dini.

"You wait there, I'll pick you up!"

"Yes." Yeah."

Shortly after the Dimas car stopped in front of the stop, Dinipun immediately got into Dimas' car.

"And have you left?" ask Dimas.

Dini shakes. Usually Dini always leave with Andi because they ride the same bus but stop at a different place.

But that morning Dini left early because he avoided arguing with his mother.

"Later malem I will go to your house to meet your mother, you are ready baby?" said Dimas at once asked Dini.

"Yes, I'm ready" Dini replied with confidence.
