Chapter 4 Saving Little Lady

There were about four goblins surrounding the little girl. The goblins were at level one and level two. Their size is not too big, even their height is still below the average height of humans in general.

Only their ferocious looks made my feathers shudder in horror. Their gazes implied an unbearable hunger. Even so, the goblins did not attack the girl they were besieging at the moment.

Mike who was behind the wall was still preparing with his sword. He had just killed a level two goblin, and that was because of the situation that was favorable for him.

After seeing what was inside the alley there, his intentions shrank. He already knew how powerful a goblin was at level two and it was impossible for him to defeat four goblins at once. Facing just one goblin he was already close to losing.

"How can I complete this damn quest? They should have given me more rewards before giving me unreasonable quests like this." Mike said as he peeked into the alley.

The alley was covered by a building and a thin roof, making it difficult for light to illuminate it. Mike was hurt in this. He had trouble seeing what was going on in there. If only he had gotten a better skill, he would have easily been able to complete a quest like this.

Mike racked his brain, looking for the most efficient way to fight those goblins. Mike knows how he's gonna lose. Another story that Mike recklessly risked his life just to complete the quest and get the reward.

"Damn! Why doesn't my brain work when I need it!" Mike cursed himself.

The look on his face grew increasingly tangled as he thought of a way out. Unfortunately, not a single idea crossed his mind. That's when the system comes up with a notification.

Mike stared at the transparent screen. He thought what kind of potion would he get with five hundred coins. The sword he was holding alone cost him a thousand and five hundred coins.

After thinking for a moment Mike pressed the yes column on the screen. He did not expect much on the effect the potion would have. But at least he had to check if there were any potions that could help him for now.

Mike shifted the hologram screen. His eyes stared intently at each unlocked herb until finally his attention was distracted at the discounted herb.

"Come on, this is almost like a joke. I think only stores have discounts. But who would have thought this crazy system also had discounts on certain items?" Mike looked in wonder. His finger tapped slowly on the picture of the potion. Not long after that came the details regarding the function of the potion.

Mike stiffened his jaw. The price of this potion almost drained his entire coin. Plus there is no explanation of how much the level will be increased. If the situation were different, Mike wouldn't risk buying a potion like this.

Mike has no other choice. If this quest was not completed, then he would not get any rewards. Of course that will make Mike more trouble in the future.

"It seems like it's okay if I buy this potion. Moreover, I will definitely get additional coins if I manage to defeat them."

Mike took a deep breath. He had already decided to buy the potion. His hand knocked on the buy column, then the potion fell to the ground. Mike took it, sipped the potion in one gulp. Mike could feel his strength growing.

Mike was stunned staring at his current status. The potion is arguably quite cheap if it can raise the level so far. Mike put a big smile on his face. This quest will be easy now. Without thinking anymore, Mike immediately shot towards where the goblins were.

Mike swung his sword at the goblin's back which was right in front of him. The goblin did not have time to provide resistance or defense because of a surprise attack from Mike.

At the moment Mike is very confident he can beat them at once. With the level difference so far, there was no way those goblins could corner Mike with just a small amount. Even Mike was sure he could defeat them in a single slash.

Mike continued to slash incessantly. The green liquid re-clad his sword. Mike's face was filled with satisfaction. He defeated the four goblins. Moreover, the little girl who had been unmoving since then still looked fine. Mike was relieved by that.

But Mike forgot one important thing. He forgot about the system warning that this place was a monster's nest. Mike's attention was distracted by how to defeat the four goblins, so he forgot the most important thing.

"Hi, little sister. What's yourname?" Mike squatted down, gently stroking the little girl's hair.

"Eri!" The girl replied briefly without expression. His empty gaze made him like a container the shelf contained. After a while, the girl named Eri raised her hand. He pointed to something that was behind Mike.

Mike quickly looked over. He found a goblin about three times larger than the previous goblin.

"Daddy! I forgot this place is a monster's nest." Mike stared at the number above the goblin's head.

"Well! It turns out we're on the same level." Mike's voice was shaking a little. His confidence dwindled further as he stared more and more at the monster before him.

Though earlier he could defeat the goblins who had been sprawled with a smiling face. But at this moment his face turned sour. Cold sweat gradually poured out from his palms and face. There is clearly a worry in it.

"Did you beat them?" The goblin spoke without looking at Mike. His gaze was fixed on the body of the goblin that was helplessly sprawled with green liquid.

"If so, why? You want to fight with me, huh?! I will serve your will. Let's see who's more persistent."
