The Doomsday System

The Doomsday System
Chapter 21 Accepting 4 Requests

Mike thought hard before he said his third request. If he asks wrongly, it could be bad in the future. Moreover, three days later he would meet Big Mama. He did not know what level the woman was at, but he had to remain vigilant.

"Then give me and my men a million coins each." After careful thought, Mike decided to ask for a lot of coins. With the coin he and his members could buy equipment and weapons and potions with a high level of adequate. That would reduce the percentage of deaths.

"One million coins? Don't you think that your request is too excessive for a level five bronze key?"

"Well! I didn't think administrators were so stingy." Mike snorted, staring furiously at the light in front of him. The sound of administrator laughter sounded, very long.

"I can't grant such a crazy request. But I can grant it if only half. Hows it? It's not a small amount either."

Mike's eyes sparkled when he heard it. Though he had thought that his request was impossible to be granted and told to make another request, but in fact he could still get coins even half the amount he asked for. But still, getting five hundred thousand coins was an enormous sum.

"Alright, because I'm a good-natured person. Just give it up even if it's only half."

REQUEST SUBMITTED [3/5]

"I have granted. What's your next request?"

+500,000 COINS ADDED

NUMBER OF COINS CURRENTLY: 501,850

Mike smiled looking at the system notification screen. There were already many item lists in his head that he wanted to buy with those coins. He realized that he still had coins left.

"Ekhem! Please make your next request." The administrator cleared his throat a little hard to make Mike wake up from his daydream.

"Next request...give me another key."

"Wait, wait a minute! Why is your request getting unreasonable?"

"Can't?"

"Of course you can't! The key is given only by the system. We as administrators cannot give it away. There are some authorities that we leave everything to the system. We only control a part of it."

"It sucks!" Mike threw away his face with a snorting sound that sounded very upset. As he gazed at the white world, he immediately recalled Balth and thought of something.

"Turn Balth as a player." Mike looked at the administrator expectantly. If Balth successfully turned on and became a player not only Mike who benefited, but also other members because there are additional members.

"That's not hard for me, but are you sure? Being a player isn't as fun as a kid dreaming of being a hero."

"I'm sure! Precisely if he was resurrected and only became an ordinary person, he would only blame himself and always help without knowing the limits of his own abilities. By becoming a player he can realize his good intentions more easily, right?"

"Being a player will not always help people. I shouldn't have told you now, but there's a time you were forced to kill a fellow." The administrator's voice was heard harboring a lot of sadness and regret. Although Mike could not see the look on the face of the person he was talking to at the moment, he knew that the person was feeling sadness.

"Why kill a human? If they were just spectators, what would be wrong? What is the system of hating ordinary people who just keep quiet?" Mike breathed heavily. His mind was made a mess by the statement the administrator gave. How many times he thought about it, still Mike did not find a reason why players had to kill humans.

"A few days before the disaster to appear on the surface will happen something unexpected. Let's just say it's a plague that doesn't have an antidote."

"Then what will happen to the humans who are infected with the plague?"

Mike's heart is pounding waiting for an answer. A few minutes passed and there was no answer. Like the administrator doesn't want to tell it or he can't tell it.

"Isn't that even good? They don't die and come back to life, then...."

"Being undead aka undead. That's what you mean by good?" The administrator's voice sounded vibrating.

Mike was devastated to hear that. He might be able to, but he's not sure Balth is capable of it. Now everything is getting more complicated. He was sure that definitely what was meant by killing humans was that they had to kill undead.

Mike was silent for a while. He was choosing between making Balth a player or not. A lot of things that Mike considered in his head until the final decision came to the decision to make Balth as a player.

Although killing undead must be heavy for Balth, but if he did not become a player surely he would experience the same thing as ordinary people. Affected by the plague, dead, and living again became undead. It was more painful for Mike. There's still a long time left anyway. Mike believes Blath will get used to killing monsters and maybe he can also kill undead later.

"Turn Blath into a player."

"Your decision hasn't changed?"

"No! I've been considering it carefully. I believe that making it as a player is the right choice." Mike steadied his decision by casting a look of confidence. The administrator was slightly startled by Mike's gaze, only the first time he saw the player with such a confident look. The administrator smiled from a distance seeing that he had already found the right player.

Mike was a little disappointed because his request just counted as his request. But after imagining Balth coming back to life makes Mike's disappointment gradually disappear.

Mike gawked at the hologram screen floating in front of him. He did not expect Balth to be a player who almost matched him. Batlh also got two skills at once, in contrast to the other members. With his high level it was certain that he would become the vice leader in the party.

"All questions and requests are resolved. We'll meet up here. See you next time, even if it's not with me anymore."
