Chapter 10 Main Quest Begins

Fifteen hours passed. Mike spent the time waiting for the main quest contemplating. In just a few days there were already two people around him who were snatched away. He could not imagine how many lives would have to be sacrificed when the monsters were already around.

"The main quest has already begun, but there is still no notification from the system."

Mike kept staring at the empty air in front of him. The start of it already had a notification regarding the start of the main quest. But it's been a few hours and still no notice. Mike had thought the system was having problems or errors, but it felt very unlikely.

There was nothing Mike could do before the main quest began. Although Mike wants to defeat the monsters to become stronger, but unfortunately no monsters appear after that.

After Eri disappears, Mike gets one soldier. Zeru who was defeated by Eri was not completely dead. He could feel Zeru's beating heart getting weaker and weaker. Mike decides to use it on Zeru and activates the skill to make it as a team.

"Doomsday? Well, no wonder. This game admin has gone crazy beyond the limit." Mike stood up from his seat. The system notification was the thing most awaited by him. He was waiting for the main quest to be able to fight monsters due to dimension break.

Mike jumped off the edge of the roof of the building he stopped by just now. He walked around the city, hoping that there would be a low-level dimension break he could encounter. But it was impossible to find a monster when the quest was just beginning.

Mike kept his eyes out along the way. Just this time he was able to see the state of Tyghu city properly. A few days earlier he had not paid any attention to this city. All his thoughts were distracted by the system.

Mike just realized that the city where he lived was just rubble. There is hardly any building still standing. Though Mike recalled there are still some buildings that only suffered a little damage. Mike can see the results of the city rebuilding done by the government. It was not as expected, but not bad as well rather than neglected.

Mike kept walking through the rubble of many buildings in the city. He's headed to a place where Balth's body is buried. Mike wanted to say a few words to Balth before the main quest began to provide an update.

When Mike had reached the place he wanted to go, Mike found the land that was used as Balth's resting place was no longer there. The place was replaced with a house-like building with a simple size.

"Who built a house in this place?" Mike could not take his eyes off the building. It is clearly seen the face of Mike who is not friendly.

"Hey, you're there!" Someone shouted from a distance. Mike turned his head towards the voice, feeling the screams were on him. He saw the figure of a man who was about forty years old was running towards him.

"What do you mean?" Mike tried to hold back the anger that had been struggling to get out.

"Didn't you know? The government freed the townspeople to choose land and build houses. Our current situation does not allow for negotiations. Take it easy, son! The government will pay this land at an appropriate price." The man patted Mike on the shoulder, waving a mocking smile at him.

"All right, no problem. But allow me to dig the ground under your house. There's something I have to take for me to move." Mike looked straight at the short man in front of him. He tried to speak well because he did not want to use violence as a way out.

The man's appearance instantly turned one hundred and eighty degrees from before. He looked at Mike with a dislike look.

"What do you want to do, son? You can dig up the ground under my house if you have money to compensate for the damage to the floor."

"What's the point of having money? From tomorrow to the next year, money will be meaningless." Mike snorted in annoyance. Maybe if this guy knew what was going to happen in the future, Mike was sure he wouldn't be as arrogant as he is now. Especially if he knows Mike is a system player.

"Basic boy doesn't know himself! You think I'm stupid enough to believe what you're saying? Don't make it up and leave if you have no business." The man waved at Mike, walking towards the entrance.

Mike could only sigh at the words of the man in front of him. Though already on the verge of death, but still his arrogance did not disappear.

"Hey, old man! Don't you know how to ask for help properly? I have also said that money is meaningless, but you still ask for help with the lure of money? After all, didn't you tell me to go?" Mike raised next to his eyebrows, staring in satisfaction at the man.

"All right, what do you want! Whatever it is I'll give you. Hurry up help me!" The man started to panic as he looked at the short green creature in front of him which was starting to approach. Mike let out a long sigh, shaking his head at the reaction of the man in front of him.

"Even to the end it's still arrogant, huh?" Mike smiled a big smile. He took out a sword from the inventory and darted towards the goblins not far in front of him. With Mike's current level, defeating a few low-level goblins certainly feels very easy.

"Well, where did you get that sword? Didn't you not carry any weapons? Did you also summon those monsters, huh? Basic sneaky! You used a monster that I don't know where it came from to take advantage of me!" The man cursed Mike who was drenched in goblin blood. Though Mike had saved himself, but he was an ungrateful man and instead accused Mike of the mastermind of this incident.

Mike just kept silent to hear his words. He decided to silence this person in his own way.

"Shadow gate." Mike's eyes glowed in the dark of the night.
