Regrets After the Farewell

Regrets After the Farewell
Chapter 9.

"Who is that woman?"

"What's he doing here?"

"Why is that woman sleeping in the garden like this?"

"Did he have no family?"

One by one of the park visitors who were running early in the morning seemed to whisper while capturing the existence of Safia who was still sleeping soundly. The woman finally woke up when her face was hit by the morning sun that pierced her eyes.

Safia blinked and opened her eyes slowly. When rubbing his eyelids, how surprised he found himself who had become a spectacle for many people.

Confused Safia immediately got up from her seat and left the garden. How unfortunate he was to be faced with such a situation.

He should have woken up earlier so that no one would see his whereabouts. However, he fell asleep without realizing that the clock had shown at eight in the morning. Naturally park visitors began to arrive to do their morning activities.

Arriving at the side of the road, Safia turned to the right and to the left to pay attention to the surrounding situation. He didn't know where to go because he didn't have any money.

"Safia..."

The baritone voice of a man came from behind. Safia, who was shocked, ran to her rescue without knowing who had just called her.

Yes, Safia was apparently traumatized from hearing male voices. The voice reminded him of Salman who had already destroyed his trust and future.

"Doctor Safia, wait!"

The voice was heard in Safia's ears. This time he stopped his running and twisted his neck quickly. Safia heaved a sigh of relief for a moment after catching the proportional body of the man who was following her. "Doctor Alex?" muttered.

Alex, who was following Safia, smiled and walked over to her. She thought Safia had forgotten about her but it turned out she was wrong, Safia still recognized her and even remembered what her name was.

Alex then invited Safia to sit on a bench and started chatting casually. Slowly he ventured to find out what happened to Safia.

Ever since she was ordered by Salman to check on Safia at that time, she has started to suspect that something is wrong with Safia.

However, Alex's efforts to find out the truth seems a little difficult. Safia did not want to open her voice and chose to speak a thousand languages.

"Come, I'll drive you home!" ask Alex to offer help.

"That's okay, I-I..."

"It's okay, I'll take you home to your husband's house. I happen to know Salman very well, he's my best friend."

"Don't!"

Alex who heard that suddenly frowned. He could see a look of fear on Safia's face.

"Sorry, I have to go." Safia was about to stand up but Alex quickly held back her hand.

"Tell me! What the hell is going on? Did Salman hurt you?" alex asked with an unusual look.

"Ti-no," gelled Safia into lying. "Please let me go, I have to go!" door begged. Alex doesn't care at all.

Without removing Safia's hand from his grasp, Alex then led the woman to a car parked on the side of the road.

Alex opens the door and helps Safia sit on the front bench. At first Safia refuses but Alex urges her, she can't possibly let Safia be on the streets alone. She was worried that Safia's disease would recur, who would help her later?

After Safia sat down, Alex came in and sat on the steering wheel and darted away from the place.

Actually Alex himself was a little afraid if Salman knew that he brought Safia with him, but he had no other choice.

Alex then takes Safia to her parents' house, for a while the woman can live there. Coincidentally Alex's mother only lived alone, the middle-aged woman would definitely be very happy if anyone accompanied her.

While Alex himself will remain in the apartment, but he will control Safia's development while in his house.

Arriving at the large one-story house, Alex helps Safia get out of the car and takes her inside the house.

Safia herself seemed confused by the head of the daze to and fro, she did not understand why Alex brought her to that place.

"Doctor Alex, where is this?" tanya Safia knitted her brows.

"Don't be afraid, this is my parents' house. Stay here for a while!" said Alex.

"But it-"

"Please don't refuse! I just want to help," Alex cut.

Safia stared at Alex for a moment, seconds later her gaze was fixed on a middle-aged woman who had just walked out of the room.

"Alexes..."

The old woman frowned at the unusual return of her son to bring a woman into the house. He thought Safia was his future son-in-law, and he welcomed Safia with enthusiasm.

"Bad kid, he said he had no girlfriend" said the middle-aged woman who is known as Lia, he also pulled out Alex's ears.

"No, Mom, I misunderstood. Alex has no girlfriend, this is Alex's friend, her name is Safia. He's also a doctor" she told her mother.

"Lady..." Safia immediately greeted Lia and reached out to the old woman. Safia cheered him up and kissed the back of his hand.

"Doctor Alex is right Ma'am, we're just friends of his profession." Safia confirmed.

Although disappointed to hear Safia's confession, but Lia tried to legowo accept the reality. I don't know what's wrong with his son so he is still faithful to sing until this moment, even though he is very eager to pet a grandson.

After allowing Safia to sit down, Lia left the two of them some items for a moment. He entered the kitchen and made drinks for Safia and her son.

"Mom, Safia can stay here huh. Alex feels sorry for him" Alex said shortly after arriving in the kitchen following the mother.

Lia who had wanted to pour hot water into the cup suddenly fell silent and stopped her activity. "Why indeed? Does Safia have no place to live?"

"Have it, even he had a very majestic palace. But it's a pity that her husband doesn't want her, I suspect she's unhappy with the marriage." Alex explains.

Hearing that, Lia rounded her eyes with her mouth slightly gaping. "What is Safia people's wife?"

"Hmm.." nodded Alex.

The shocked Lia spontaneously hit her son's head in anger. "Are you crazy? Why bring him here? What if her husband finds out? I don't want you accused of hiding people's wives,"

"Mom, listen to Alex first! It's not what Mom imagined," Alex then pulled Lia's arm and took her to the back garden and told the middle-aged woman everything.

Not only did she say that Safia was being treated badly by her husband, Alex also explained about Safia's current illness. As a doctor he certainly cares deeply about Safia's condition, let alone Salman not seem to care about the woman.

Alex also admits that she loved Safia long before she got married, Alex just wanted to help Safia without expecting anything in return.

He couldn't possibly let the woman he loved suffer. It didn't matter if Safia didn't look at him, she just wanted Safia to recover and be happy living her life.

Hearing the sincerity of her son, Lia was suddenly moved and hugged Alex tightly. She felt sorry for both of them, why should her son love a woman who already had a husband?
