Regrets After the Farewell

Chapter 8.

After an hour of waiting, a doctor came out of the room. The curious Salman then stood up from his seat and immediately approached the doctor.

"How, Doc? What happened to him?" salman asked curiously.

"The results of the examination will be out in a moment, just wait! But it looks like the patient has Alzheimer's disease, which is why his memory is suddenly gone" explained the doctor.

"What?" Salman was aghast with perfectly rounded eyes, he retreated backwards and was stunned in the chair.

"Patients seem to have had this disease for a long time. Maybe due to the stress and inner pressure that he experienced then the disease returned to recur by itself. Just pray, I hope my guess is wrong" said the doctor.

The disbelieving Salman instantly squeezed out his knee which suddenly shook violently. Is all this because of the act that always tried to hurt Safia endlessly?

Ah, I don't know. Salman suddenly felt guilty for what he had done to Safia. She thought she was strong enough to accept her treatment, but it turned out that Safia was very weak, far from what Salman had imagined.

Then why would Salman vent his heartache on the woman? After all, now Safia had no memory of who she was.

Shortly after the doctor who examined Safia left Salman, Alex suddenly appeared from the opposite direction. The man had just finished treating another patient and decided to enter the examination room to see Safia's state.

Salman wanted to come in but Alex quickly stopped him. Other than the doctor, no one can enter the room without permission. The rule applies to everyone including Salman, the owner of the hospital, who made the rule himself, and he has to obey it.

Yeah, actually Alex has known Safia for a long time. The two met several times during training. He even had time to put his heart on the woman, but dear Salman is one step faster than him.

But now it seems Alex began to suspect seeing the strange gelagat Salman. He believes his best friend never loved Safia, Alex himself does not know why Salman married the woman of his dreams. Alex sees absolutely no love in Salman's eyes for Safia.

"How, Doc?" alex asked his fellow professional who was still standing next to the gurney.

"Predict me this woman has Alzheimer's disease, maybe the results of the examination can clarify my guess."

"Alzheimer's?" Alex was surprised with perfectly round eyes. He also took Safia who was still lying down waiting for the next examination.

Safia looked at the two doctors intensely, but a few seconds later she suddenly regained consciousness and quickly rose from the bed. He jumped down from the gurney and ran out of the room.

Yes, Safia's memory suddenly returned just like that. He thought this was a good time to escape Salman's clutches.

"Doctor Safia, wait!" alex exclaimed, he tried to chase after Safia but the woman did not care about him at all. Safia just wanted to get out of there as soon as possible.

Shortly after opening the door, Safia's eyes turned to Salman, who was engrossed in his cell phone. Because Salman did not see himself, Safia took advantage of the opportunity to escape as soon as possible. He covered the side of his cheek with a palm then ran small towards the parking lot.

Arriving at the hospital gate, Safia quickly stopped a taxi. He did not care at all that though heavy rain was pouring down on his body, he only wanted to go far so that Salman could no longer find himself.

Inside there, Alex exits the room following Safia. But he lost track of seeing Safia everywhere.

"Whose circumstances?" alex asked back, he frowned looking at Salman in confusion.

"Who else? Is there another patient in there besides my wife?" ketus Salman raised the tone of speech.

Alex, who heard that, chuckled and patted Salman's shoulder a little harshly. "No one's inside, Safia's doctor ran away just now."

"Snow?" Salman rounded his eyes perfectly. "Swurried how? I was standing here from earlier, but-"

"That's because you never cared about her. Wife's running away don't know, what kind of husband are you?" after saying that, Alex also passed away while shaking his head. He was convinced that Salman had never loved Safia.

Unbelieving what Alex had said just now, Salman finally chose to go inside the room to make sure.

Yes, Alex was right. There was only one doctor inside who was preparing to leave the place.

With trembling legs, Salman galloped away from the room. He went down every corner he passed with his head swerving to the right and to the left.

Arriving at the parking lot, a security guard approached Salman. She said the woman who was with Salman had gone to a taxi a few minutes ago.

Salman snorted at the sighting of the security guard. He was stupid because he was unaware of Safia's departure which clearly passed through him in front of the room earlier.

"Open the CCTV footage, find out what cab took my wife away!" salman gave the order.

The guard nodded quickly and ran towards the CCTV monitor room. He opened the recording a moment ago and copied it into a flash.

After successfully copying the recording, the security guard returned to meet Salman and thrust the flash into his hands.

"Thank you" said Salman, then sprinted towards the car. He also spurred the speed of the vehicle he drove at high speed.

Amid the cold rain that soaked the earth, a woman got out of a taxi and walked in the quiet park area of the city. No human remains were visible in the area.

Yes, the clock has shown at eleven o'clock in the evening. It is time for all activities to be stopped and rest the body for a moment.

But that did not apply to Safia who did not know where to move her legs. The only place he could go was the orphanage, but he was unlikely to go. Salman will definitely look for him there.

Finally Safia decided to stay in the park until morning. He chose to sit under a large wooden tree while bending his legs and hugging his knees tightly, hoping that the position could provide warmth to his body that had shivered with cold.

"Hiks..." Safia suddenly sobbed crying over her fate that could never feel happiness. From the small of his life has suffered greatly after losing both parents, now the suffering is even stronger binding him. Safia doesn't know where to complain, the only man she loves can hurt her heart this deep.
