Regrets After the Farewell

Regrets After the Farewell
Chapter 39.

In the morning, Saka woke up when she felt something overlapping her stomach, it felt heavy enough that the boy's eyes opened slowly.

Saka narrowed his eyes for a moment after his life was perfectly gathered, he was surprised to see a man lying next to him and hugging his stomach.

After Saka watched the man's face closely, he frowned when he remembered the first time he met at the airport. "Uncle?" the boy muttered while shaking Salman's arm. He remembered that the two of them had met before.

Salman was shocked to hear Saka's soft voice, he woke up and opened his eyes quickly.

As soon as she smiled to find Saka looking at her intimately, her son's brown eyeballs looked extremely beautiful.

"So, you're awake?" salman asked as he put his hand out of the boy's stomach, he rubbed his eyes slowly and then got up from the bed.

Not saying how happy he was when he looked at the handsome face of his son, he rubbed the head of Saka with affection.

Salman immediately remembered his childhood was very pleasant, they were both almost similar, only that Saka's skin was more inclined to imitate Safia's skin white and clean, while Salman's own skin was yellow.

"What is Uncle doing here? Why can you sleep in this room? Mama said, foreign men should not be carelessly entered our room," asked Saka back without answering Salman's question. His face flushed slightly as if he was holding back anger against Salman.

Yes, Saka felt strange seeing a man he did not know dared to go in and even sleep in the bed of the mother. As a boy who loved Safia very much, he did not want his mother to be close to a random man.

As long as Saka knew, Safia never allowed anyone to enter the room, even the housekeeper had to ask permission if he wanted to clean the room.

"Hehehe... You're right, son, foreign men are not allowed to enter this room. But Uncle's not a stranger, Uncle's-"

Suddenly Salman's speech came to a halt halfway through, he fell silent given his position which was completely unworthy of being between Safia and his son.

But Salman cannot lie to his feelings. He did not want to get far from his flesh and blood, the boy who had been growing up without the affection of a father.

Salman intends to pay all the time that has been wasted, he just wants to take advantage of the opportunity with his son until the deadline has been determined.

Is Salman being too selfish? He shouldn't have asked to stay in that house. He was nobody in Safia's life, but as a father he could not afford to lose them a second time.

Can Salman stop the goods for a moment so that he can stay with Saka. He loved that boy very much, he was not the type of man who would run away from responsibility.

Although between him and Safia there is no relationship anymore, but the bond of a father to his son will not be replaced with property or money. Salman just wants to prove that he deserves to be called father.

"So smart kid, right? Will Saka come with Uncle to the hospital?"

Salman deliberately switched the conversation, he has not dared to say that he is the father of the boy. He is afraid that he will not be able to release Saka if he knows who he really is.

"No Uncle, Saka doesn't want to go to the hospital. Saka is tired of being injected and infused constantly." reject the boy.

Oh, how foolish it is that Salman is too hasty to make a decision. If he had been a little patient at that time, he and Safia might not have separated after learning that Safia contained her seed.

But the rice has already become porridge, there is no way Salman can return to that time.

"But Saka has to, son. Uncle promised this one last time. After this Saka must be cured, Saka will never see the hospital again, Saka can also play with friends and attend school like other children." Salman persuaded trying to convince his son.

Sick like a pointed spear, Salman wanted to cry but his tears could no longer flow.

All the feelings blend into one, Salman can only swallow the sadness in the heart, he does not want to burden the mind of Saka.

"Said Mama, only Papa can help Saka. But until this moment Papa never returned home, Papa may not love Saka anymore." said the boy with a misty look.

How much Saka wants to meet the father who he himself does not know where he is.

From birth, not once did he see how the figure of the father that Safia often told him.

Saka was eager to see his father one last time. If after that he had to die, he would leave quietly.

Every day, he prayed to the Creator that his father would return home. Saka wanted to feel the man's affection even for a moment, he wanted to spend the rest of his time with Safia and the papa.

Hearing that, Salman's chest felt extremely tight. It was getting hotter like a fireball that could explode at any moment.

He realized this was all his fault, now it was time he paid for all the mistakes he had done.

"So you should know, Papa is very dear to Saka, Papa will never forget Saka. So, Saka must recover first. Papa must be happy to see Saka can move like other children. The magic must be there, Saka must believe!" lirih Salman, he also held his son tightly. Not feeling her tears suddenly fell down her cheeks.

"Did Uncle know Papa Saka?" ask the boy in curiosity.

"Yes" Salman nodded quickly. "The uncle knows Papa Saka very well" he added.

"Then from that, now Saka must obey Uncle! We're gonna do a spinal cord transplant, Saka's brave, right?" added Salman.

"Of course brave, Saka is a strong child, Saka wants Papa to know that his son is not a crybaby. But Papa must be home, right, Uncle?" said the boy excitedly.

"Hmmm..." Salman nodded his head confidently. "Papa's home, baby. This is Papa, Papa loves you, but now things are different. Papa can't stay here forever, Papa and Mama are separated, our path is no longer the same." Salman's inner embrace tightened.

There was nothing else he could say but following the boy's words, he wished that Saka could recover after receiving a spinal cord donor from him and live a carefree life.

He just wants Saka to be healthy and move on like the other kids. Saka must grow up to be a strong and brave boy who will later replace him looking after the woman he loves so much.
