After a journey of about an hour, Salman's motorbike finally reached the yard of the house he had left for the last seven years.
It was there that he grew up and was raised by his parents who have now returned to the lap of the Divine.
As Salman's feet shook violently when he stepped on the tile for the first time, he was both anxious and afraid to remember everything that had happened between him and Safia.
Especially after realizing that his position was no one else in the house. Salman doubts his presence will instead weigh on Safia's mind.
Although according to Alex Safia disease has been cured, but still Salman feels doubt. He really did not want to hurt Safia for the umpteenth time.
However, Salman must be prepared to bear the consequences for the mistakes he has made in the past. Now the problem lies not with him or Safia, but with an innocent child.
Salman must be able to resist the feelings for Saka's recovery, which Alex says is in desperate need of his help. Salman may fail to be a husband, but he does not want to fail to be a father.
With a step back, Salman ventured into the house. His arrival is greeted by Ina who is suddenly shocked to catch his sighting.
"Tu-sir.." the waiter's hiss stammered. He did not expect that Salman would return after all this time.
"Hm... Where's Safia?" Salman immediately asked the point, he did not want to mince words for too long.
"The lads are in the room, sir." replied the waiter.
This time Salman did not cast a voice. He swung his legs near the stairs and ran up a little.
Salman's facial rout clearly showed that he was very panicked and agitated. He seemed to be entangled in two very difficult choices.
Arriving at the door, Salman immediately pressed the knob without knocking. After the door opened, Salman's eyes immediately broke and saw a young boy lying on the bed.
Salman's heart was increasingly sliced when observing the infusion hose still attached. The little boy's hand was swollen when a needle stuck in the back of his hand.
Salman wanted to cry and scream. It breaks Salman's heart to see all that. What kind of man was he who had left his flesh blood in this weak condition?
Salman felt unworthy of being called father. He is too evil and has no heart.
As if the pain did not want to escape from his soul, now Salman's heart feels sore as if slashed by a knife and doused with vinegar water. It was too painful to think about what happened at the airport yesterday.
Yes, Salman remembered very well that the boy was the one who collided with him at the airport. Why is the world so cruel to her? He didn't even notice it at all.
Is this the punishment he should accept? A father and son have met face to face, but do not know each other like strangers.
"Saka-Saka..."
Salman ventured closer to the boy. Although his legs were still trembling, Salman tried hard to keep himself from looking weak in front of his own son.
Whether conscious or not, Salman squatted on the edge of the bed. Slowly his hand moved grabbing the little fingers of his unemployed son.
Instantly small, clear-colored grains fell on Salman's cheeks. What's he been doing? Why was it that when he decided to leave, he had never thought of coming this far?
Salman was unable to contain a sense that he himself did not understand what kind of feeling it was. He felt defeated, this world seemed to destroy him to the point of no silence.
"So, open your eyes, son! This is Papa, Papa came for you, Papa won't let you be in pain anymore. Papa will do anything for you to recover, even Papa willing to give Papa's life for you. Wake up, look at Papa!"
Regretted?
It seems the word no longer means anything to Salman. He was very sorry to make the decision in a half-emotional state. He should have been more patient before leaving the woman who had fought to give birth to her son in this world.
As Salman was still dissolved in regret that shackled his heart, the bathroom door suddenly creaked. Salman who realized it quickly wiped his face, erasing traces of tears from being seen by Safia.
"M-gold Salman..."
Safia was glued to the doorway when she caught her ex-husband crouching on the side of the bed. Salman didn't even take his hand off Saka.
Then Salman ventured to look towards Safia, the gaze of the two fused together with the thoughts that were splotched in each other's hearts.
With a heavy heart, Salman was forced to remove his hand from Saka. He stood up and walked over to Safia.
"W-what are you doing here, Mom?" safia asked stammered as she continued to stare at Salman's face which was much changed than before.
Salman looked much older, his face covered in feathers that grew over his lips, jaw and chin. Even her hair seemed disheveled like it had never been taken care of, her white hair was clearly visible in Safia's eyes.
"Sorry, I came for Saka. I heard everything from Alex. Why Safia, why hide something this big from me?"
Salman's body suddenly trembled and slumped at Safia's feet, Salman touching her ex-wife's shins as falling tears rolled down her cheeks.
Salman felt useless as a father. Why would Safia punish him in this way? Why didn't Safia just kill him so that all this suffering would end?
"What can I do? Where am I supposed to look for you? You who decided to leave me and the fetus I bear, I've even tried to find your existence."
"I'm sorry, Safia. I-"
"I know my presence is just a burden to you. What can I expect when someone doesn't want me with this illness? Aren't you happy with that woman? The woman you love so much,"
Safia raised a voice as she said all that. His emotions were suddenly ignited when he recalled the betrayal Salman had committed with the woman.
"Hm... I was wrong, please forgive me! I only ask for one thing, let me do my duty as a father! I promise I won't mix Saka's problem with ours, I'm willing to donate my spinal cord to Saka. I also promise to leave after my son is declared cured, I won't bother you again after that."
Salman looked up as he cupped both hands in front of his chest. This was all he could do for Safia to give him permission to save her son's life.
"It should be so, right?" ketus Safia is still angry with Salman.
"Hm... You're right, then thank you. I can be here first, right until tomorrow morning? Tomorrow we're going to the hospital for a check-up, the sooner the better. I don't want my son to endure this pain for too long" Salman said, unwilling to leave his son, wanting to enjoy the final moments with Saka before actually leaving on his promise.
"Hm... Only until Saka is healed" nods Safia who was forced to accept Salman's request, he did this solely for Saka's recovery.
"Thank you, thank you so much."
Salman grabbed Safia's hand and clasped it tightly. Although only this limited, he felt quite happy to be reunited with the woman he loved so much and the baby he missed so much.
Salman no longer cares about the injustice he has received. He just wanted to feel the most beautiful moment of having a complete family.
