My Notorious Gentleman's

"Carissa, come on," Beau grumbled.

"Well, I'll come to that dinner to say goodbye to you, but don't try to match me with any foreign woman."

"Fair enough," Beau replied in a tone of voice warning his wife no longer to argue.

"So, where have you been all this time?"

"Oh, wait a minute!" carissa Sela.

"Before I forget, we'll send Nick a package before we leave. There are some gifts for him. Maybe you'd like to put a little letter in it?"

Understand that this is a very sensitive topic for Trevor. Carissa swept her red hair behind her ears and waited for Trevor's answer with enlarged eyes.

Trevor stared coldly at the green-eyed viscountess.

"Why did you give him a gift?"

"Um, to make him feel more comfortable in prison. Aren't you going to write down two words?" Cariss was handing out paper and pencils from a nearby writing desk.

"I knew it would be hard for him."

"Darling, you remember he was trying to take you, right?" Trevor reminded.

"Oh, it was just an accident. Nick aimed at her," Cariss cheerfully replied as she nodded towards her husband.

"After all, I only had minor injuries."

Trevor scowled, but to comfort Carissa, he took the paper and pencil, and wrote down the message with a capital letter:

DEAR NICK:

ROT YOU IN HELL, BASE ********. I HOPE YOU ENJOY YOUR PRISONER.

GREETINGS, YOUR GUARDIAN MAN.

Trevor handed the paper back. Carissa read. Raising her head and staring at Trevor sharply, Carissa handed the paper to her husband.

Beau read the paper and his laughter instantly broke.

"Put it in the paper" he told Carissa while nodding.

"I will not send this message to him! That poor guy's in jail..."

"He'll like it. Believe this. It's better than silencing her." Beau gave Trevor a look of understanding as he closed his suitcase.

"You know, Trev, you don't usually hold a grudge. I thought you forgave Nick when they took him."

"That was before I realized that he was the cause of my life's destruction."

"Destroyed your life?" exciting Carissa.

"Isn't that a bit excessive?"

"He still blames Nick for Laura's departure" Beau told his wife as he cast a probing glance at Trevor.

"Ahh," said Carissa.

Trevor turned his face away, not intending to discuss it, especially in front of Beau's 'informed lady.

Carissa always had her own opinion, and once again, she chose to put it in front of them.

"You should make up and be on good terms again if you ask my opinion."

"Nobody asked your opinion, Lady Beauchamp." Trevor raised next to his eyebrows and leaned into the diniding, his hands folded in front of his chest. Carissa frowned.

"Come on, you guys have been friends since childhood. If I could forgive Nick for grazing my head with a bullet, you could forgive him for using you as his hostage, and imprisoning him in the cellar for months. He did not do it because of his desire. He has no choice! Without holding you as a medium of exchange, the Order would have killed him using their snipers. You certainly don't want him dead, do you?"

"Hmm" said Trevor, then he turned to Beau.

"You told him everything?"

"Oh, come on," urged Carissa, "you seem to forget that when you were shot, Nick saved your life."

"And you seem to be ignoring the fact that by locking me up, Nick is making me lose my fiancee! And this should be none of your business, Lady Beauchamp," Trevor said wryly.

"But I've got a good plan for my life. Anyway, why are you defending her so much?"

"Nick charmed her," Beau explained.

"I can guess."

Nick's having a tough time!" Carissa insists.

"He has no family or wealth like you two. He's never lived happily, you know."

"Also wise," Beau added.

"Also honorable," Trevor added.

"Don't bother that poor guy, Carissa," Beau ordered gently. Trevor leaned his head against the wall, considering Carissa's words.

"In theory, Lady Beuachamp, I could actually do as you said. Forgive and forget. But I don't think Nick can bear to see me happy."

"It's not like that at all" Beau snorted.

"really? Or he may not want to be the last person alone. So she did what she needed to do to separate me from the woman I always wanted to marry. What do you think of that?"

"Well, Trev," Beau said slowly, "there is the word 'married' and there is also the word 'intend to marry,' and both have a much different meaning."

Trevor takes a hard look at the two Beauchamp couples who band together to attack him.

"Do you want to know the news from me or not?" he demanded, immediately change the subject.

"of course. What'sthat?" ask Carissa.

"I'll move on" Trevor said.

Beau's eyebrows instantly lifted. "Don't tell me you're accepting a position offer at the State Department?"

"Oh, God, no." Trevor shuddered. "I will never work for the government again. I bought a house in Leicestershire. Actually a farm."

Beau looked at Trevor in amazement, but Carissa grinned.

"Montgomery the farmer?"

"You bought farmland?" reset Beau.
