My Notorious Gentleman's

My Notorious Gentleman's
#38

Dinner was served as late as possible at the pastor's residence, and Lord Trevor still had not revealed his nose.

Grace was almost jumped at all times when she thought it was like hearing the man coming at the door, but the sound of the night wind.

Grace could not be calm. He tried to calm his mind by sewing, but anxiety made his fingers become stiff, until he finally gave up and put back his sewing equipment.

God, he hates waiting for a man. Because he must be filled with feelings of helplessness and vulnerability.

First of all, he had to wait for over a week for Lord Trevor to appear, and now here he was, again sitting around waiting to pass the time and hoping that the man would come soon.

No wonder her beautiful ex-fiancee is tired of waiting, Grace thought. The woman had to wait for Lord Trevor for many years, the poor woman.

Then Grace wonders if Lady Laura still loves Lord Trevor. Surely such a beautiful woman only needed to snap her finger to be able to make Lord Trevor return to her.

Perhaps the woman will dump her new fiance in honor of her previous engagement. Maybe they'll reunite.

That thought made Grace grim even though she shouldn't be. That's not his business at all.

In the distance, the sky began to turn dark blue, the night chill began to be felt, and the night birds began to chirp.

It was eight o'clock in the evening when finally the two hungry Kenwoods stopped hoping their guests would come and sit at the dinner table.

Mrs. Flynn, the cook and also their housekeeper, serves a fairly sumptuous country dinner, grilled fish with buttered red yams, along with radishes, added with nuts mixed with bacon.

Grace covered her disappointed face, keeping a smile on her face as her father led the do'a before they ate.

"Amen."

Grace froze, surprised by the possibility. His stomach was immediately wrapped.

Oh my God, thought Grace. Marianas.

If Lord Trevor's encounter with the beautiful and charming Callie wasn't too painful to witness, Grace wouldn't even want to imagine what would happen if the man met the sexy Marianne, who works at the bar.

The former sexy worker has a talent that no good woman can match, Grace thought. Marianne is the cause of Callie's quarrel with George.

Grace took a sip of wine to calm her panic reaction as she imagined that Marianne might be waiting, in any capacity, for Lord Trevor at the inn.

"Yes," said Grace at last with a resounding calm.

"Papa may be right."

After that, it was easier for Grace to calm herself down thinking that she had no more hope for the man. Lord Trevor didn't come, and that's how it ended.

Maybe now the man is wrestling with Marianne on the bed.

Meanwhile, this is a good time to start to stop acting like any other silly woman, Grace thought with determination.

It was bad enough with the existence of a beautiful eighteen-year-old girl who blatantly seduced a handsome man who might just become one of the villagers.

While Grace, who was older and wiser, if she followed that attitude, would definitely look very disgusting.

Totally unacceptable, really. Yes, it's true that man is handsome, being very nice to the kids, then why?
