The girl who now had a blushing cheek lifted her muslin skirt that was patterned with flowers and ran while revealing a face full of happiness.
Grace guessed that she would soon hear wedding bells in the village.
Well, it could obviously make Lady Windlesham so happy.
"What's up?" grace asked with a smile full of understanding, as Callie gasped for air to get nearby.
"You look at yourself!" Callie thrusts the opera glasses at Grace.
Grace frowned, but Callie seemed completely unwilling to be patient
"Look! For God's sake, Grace, have you never looked out the window? Hello, Bitsy," Callie said hello to the little girl beside Grace, as the boy was the love of both of them.
"Have you trained in your honor?"
Bitsy was happy because Callie still remembered it and immediately demonstrated it until she almost tripped.
"Good job!" callie Exclamation.
"What should I see?" grace asked, still confused.
"Geez, Grace, are you blind?" scream Callie.
"No, it's just that my head went down here. Wh why? Have you heard from George?"
"Huh! George who? Look. there." Callie clutched Grace's shoulder and turned it, pointing towards Grange.
"He."
Grace gasped hard to the point of almost choking when she saw a handsome tall figure, who was wearing only brown pants and a shirt was walking leisurely in a field.
Grace lost her ability to speak for a while. His heart was beating like a drum.
"When...?" Grace choked back.
"Mrs. Fiddler saw the man crossing the city on a very nice train, and Sally Hopkins came up to me and said it. That's how it should be! Come on!" Callie pulled Grace's hand.
"We have to go there and see him! You have to get close to me."
"Calpurnia." Grace suddenly trembled like a fool.
"Oh, isn't that fun? Finally, there is someone who is interested in moving to our small, stupid village! Can you imagine how much life this place would be if there was a handsome honorable man like him who settled down in Grange? Oh, and I'll bet he's got a lot of good-looking friends too!"
Grace was unable to get a single word out. He could only stare at Callir and give back the opera glasses in shock, as if they had burned his hand.
"What's the matter with you?" Then Callie rolled her eyeballs.
"You're not going to turn into a shy person now, are you? Grace! Why now..."
"He's busy! He won't like it if we bother him..."
"Don't be silly" Callie replied.
"Maybe there's something she wants to ask! We can tell him everything about this village and its inhabitants. We have to help him, right? Makes him feel welcome. You are the one who should know best, it is our duty as Christians to help foreigners. After all, if he is considering buying the place, this is our chance to fulfill his decision! I didn't see any women coming with him, how about you?"
"No," Grace exclaimed softly, her heart pounding. He was worried that he was deeply shaken when he put in his best effort to hide it.
"Come on, then! Let's show the man how friendly the people here are!" Calpurnia continues to try to pull Grace, but Grace does not want to move at all, struggling to clear her mind of panic attacks, and the happiness that culminates because the man finally comes.
Grace had no longer expected the man to arrive a few days ago, but now this was where the man was! At the time, Grace did not know what to do, and she wanted to scream with joy as Calpurnia did at the man's arrival.
But then Grace remembered again her plan to match the man with this brave young girl.
When the thought came back to his memory, suddenly everything felt unattractive again.
