My Notorious Gentleman's

My Notorious Gentleman's
#19

"So your father was a mentor of young Lord Brentford" he said carefully.

They move back to their respective lines.

Grace hesitates, but still answers the man's question as he moves closer to each other but in a different direction.

"Lord Brentford shouldn't be gambling" I'm Grace.

"From what I heard, he said he was very happy gambling. Sometimes some people never learn from their mistakes."

As they parted, again standing across from each other, Grace could see that Lord Trevor was stiffening. He looked at the man questioningly.

Lord Trevor shook his head with a smile, and tried to see that he was okay.

"What's wrong?" urged Grace when the third figure made them do a more sensual gesture, palms tacked on each other.

"Ah, there's nothing."

"Something's up," Grace thought.

Trevor tried to shrug, then relented, but still tried to avoid Grace's sharp glare.

"I used to have friends like that. The gambler's friend."

Grace noticed the look of grief in the gray eyes of the man.

"My guess is he finally got into trouble."

"You could say he even almost sold myself to cover up his defeat. We were both almost killed."

"What happened to him?"

"Last in prison, and there he is until now." Lord Trevor shook his head, looking full of regret.

"I hope your father can help that young man, better than I can do with my unlucky friend."

They parted again and stared intently at each other. Grace felt sorry for the man and said it when they came back close to each other in the next movement, backs with backs facing each other.

"That's not important. Instead I learned a valuable lesson from that incident."

"What's that?"

"You can't trust anyone" said the man calmly.

"Even friends."

Grace frowned

"Oh? Like what for example?"

"My father. I'm. A lot of other people" Grace assured the man.

Lord Trevor smiled amusedly as they parted ways again, as if Grace was a still innocent child who had just said something so naive and adorable.

Grace furrowed her brows, irritated at the man's smile, as if he were the most knowledgeable, the most understanding of the world.

But still, at this time according to Grace, the man looked very handsome.

Grace instantly forgot her irritation once again moved towards Lord Trevor. With a stocky posture, the man was a great dancer, his movements were so beautiful and relaxed.

With Lord Trevor's arm around Grace's waist and the other hand holding Grace's hand, the man was able to make her move more smoothly.

As she looked up to see Lord Trevor's gray eyes, Grace felt herself to be beautiful and charming due to the way the man noticed her and the smirking smile on the man's lips.

"I'm starting to like you, whoever you are" muttered Lord Trevor in a soft, gentle voice, just the way the man spoke when they were alone on top.

"I want to know you better, Grace Kenwood"

Grace glimmered at the man's outspoken words.

"Whoever am I? But you already know my name. Don't you remember anymore?"

"No, of course not so, silly basic gsdis. It's just that I feel you're a little mysterious. You're different from the people who are here."

Grace snorted hearing it.

"There is nothing mysterious about me. I can guarantee that."

"That's exactly what interested me. You're exactly what you look like. You don't seem to know how rare a girl like you is."

And Lord Trevor let him go.

When Grace returned to the far side, she trembled, struggling to wake up from this dream.

Her curiosity about how it felt when the man made love to her jolted Grace.

Geez! What's wrong with him.

The pair change along with the dance moves, Lord Trevor pairs with the woman beside Grace, while Grace herself dances with another female partner.

But the man, according to Grace, was not at all attractive, despite being young and looking handsome in elegant clothes.
