Trevor was still thinking about Grace when he arrived in London the next day.
For nearly three hours he had been chatting with them on the back porch of the pastor's residence the night before.
It was not until midnight that he finally left their home, and went straight to London in the darkness of the night.
The pastor and his daughter had warned him that it was a dangerous journey, but Trevor assured them that he was used to such an adventure.
Now that he had returned to London, the police noise, smoke, and the excitement of the passers-by really made Trevor feel his contrast with the village he had been visiting.
Instead of going straight home, Trevor went straight to Mayfair to tell Beauchamp about the farm he had just bought.
When Trevor slows down his train to stop in front of a beautiful town house that has long been owned by their friend and group leader, it still seems strange to Trevor when he finds himself welcomed by Beau's new wife.
Sebastian Walker, Visoumt Beauchamp, and little redhead Carissa have just been married for months. Thanks to Nick (the*******), Trevor was unable to witness their marriage.
"Finally you came too!" Carissa pulled Trevor's arm lovingly.
"Everyone is wondering where you are!"
"I guess the days where I should always report my whereabouts to the Order are over."
"Never will! Comein. He's upstairs."
Trevor follows Lady Beauchamp to the third floor until he finds her brother-in-arms who is seen busy packing clothes into a suitcase.
"Geez, man, has he started to drive you out of this house?"
Beau looked back and smirked. "Well, look who's coming."
"Are you going to travel?"
"I owe my wife a trip to Paris. We'll leave tomorrow morning."
"Oh, I can't wait!" Carissa approached Beau while showing childlike cheer.
"We'll have fun there! You're the best husband in the world."
"Don't be surprised if I go home later I'm broke" Beau grumbled.
"For shopping there, you get it, right?"
"Come, you promised to take me on vacation once your dealings with the Order are over" Carissa replied.
"Yes, it's true. And you're really patient in designing it, completely opposite to your everyday nature.
"Oh, come on, I'm just kidding," muttered Beau, leaning over to kiss his wife's lips.
Trevor turned his face uncomfortable. Throughout his life, Trevor never imagined a womanizing man like Beauchamp would end up being the first man to marry than he was.
"So, Trevor, you came to attend our farewell party at Max and Daphane's residence, right?" ask Beau. Trevor seemed to hesitate.
"Of course he'll come!" exciting Carissa.
"He won't see us again for three months! After all, Daphane had always managed to hold an amazing dinner. All our acquaintances will be there."
Trevor was sad to think of the five happy couples, each of whom fell in love, sat around the table, and he was alone.
Given the last event he attended it seemed like the idea was really torturous.
Yeah, he better have dinner with Nick in that guy's cell.
"Come at eight. No need to dress formally." After counting the number of shirts his male waiter had prepared, Beau looked back and saw Trevor's tense expression.
A look of understanding was immediately visible on Beau's face, followed by a look of annoyance.
"You know, Jordan's wife, Mara, she's got a friend named Delilah who's already a widow, who we can invite to be your partner there too..."
Trevor snorted and turned his face away while Carissa gasped sympathetically.
"Oh, Trevor, I'm sorry! We are all completely heartless! We just thought you were with Laura now. Yes, let us invite Delilah.she's very pretty and fun, or you want me to introduce you to my aunt Josephine. Of course he's a little bit older than you, but he doesn't go far. I guarantee you'll find it interesting."
"Really, right?" added Beau.
"Many beautiful and charming women that you can choose. So which one do you like better? Or do we need to invite both?"
"Do it, and I'll kill you" Trevor replied.
Beau and Carissa exchanged glances with shocked expressions, then they both looked confused while looking at Trevor.
Trevor gritted his teeth resisting the vexation. He knew his friends were just trying to help.
But still, it doesn't help.
"But you have to come to our farewell party" Carissa urged Trevor gently.
"What if our ship sinks? What if this is the last time you can meet us?"
