My Notorious Gentleman's

"They have been fighting for the Kingdom since that war. A bunch of fucking heroes..."

"George, your language." Grace sighed.

"sorry. They were assigned to the whole of Europe during the war, and exactly a month ago, they managed to unravel the plot to assassinate the Prime Minister in London."

"Oh yeah... I seem to have heard the rumor."

"It should be!" Then George nodded back to the man who was surrounded by the women of his admirer.

"The man who was there himself helped uncover the cowardly plan. As soon as the press kissed the plan, and the Order was revealed, Regent judged it was appropriate to award them a medal in honor of them at Westminster Abbey. From then on, the women did not leave poor Montgomery alone. He's the only single man left in the Order. But don't bother to ask her what her job is. He wouldn't want to talk about it, even though I'm sure he must have a lot of wild stories to tell."

"So-spies you say?" grace repeated with skepticism, curiosity but she was still not sure that George was really lying to her.

"Well, ex-spy now. They can't do it anymore, because their identity has been revealed to the world, right? Fame has taken away their work."

Grace frowned, glancing back at the former spy, but the man was still hidden among the crowd of women. He turned back to George uncertainly.

"If what you're saying is true, are you sure that person isn't dangerous?"

"Of course they're dangerous, but not for us silly basics!" george laughed while laughing.

"That's why the Kingdom has such a man, right? From what I've heard, they're trained in all kinds of warfare, codes, and secret ciphers, and also how to make explosives."

George again nudged his shoulder with Grace's shoulder, looking amused at Grace who looked uncomfortable.

"Do you want me to introduce him?"

"No!"

"Then maybe the ladies shouldn't get too close to him" Grace replied, her face flushed red.

George looked weak.

"Actually, personally I feel happy because they found someone else to bother with."

At that moment, the crowd of beautiful women surrounding Lord Trevor Montgomery began to soar, and Grace caught a glimpse for the first time of the secret agent's figure.

Grace froze, staring in amazement.

For Chrissakes. He had never seen a classy hero before, but he was sure that he must be part of that classy group of heroes, that man looked mysterious and fascinating.

The man was at least over a hundred and eighty centimeters tall and had a sturdy and muscular posture, with broad shoulders that seemed to dispel any danger. His figure also exuded the high confidence of a man, as if nothing in this world was impossible to conquer.

The stature of his face looked hard and cynical, and it could not fade even though the man was displaying his mysterious smile on the women who were adoring him.

When seen first, the man seemed to be able to draw all the attention to him. Although he does not look as handsome as most of the London dandy men who are present at this party. This guy looks strong.

And proud, thought Grace. Also strong, physically.

Grace recalled what George had to say about the Knights Templar today, and thought this man deserved to be part of the group, coupled with a white and black formal evening dress added to her mysterious impression.

Contrary to the other respectable men, the man had long dark hair like a barbarian. Tied neatly to the back, thus clarifying the impression of her square jaw as well as her dark skin, making her at first glance look like a pirate, Grace thought.

It's ridiculous, actually, Grace thought again. Bizarrely. Usually he never imagined anything about someone.

And the weirdest thing was the strange noise that Grace felt in her body and her beating heart. Grace averted her gaze, surprised and irritated by her unusual reaction.
