My Notorious Gentleman's

My Notorious Gentleman's
#32

Miss Calpurnia Windlesham clearly thinks of herself as a charming girl. Not so with Trevor.

Of course, Calpurnia was a brave, carefree, charming, and pretty girl enough to fool a lot of young men, but the girl reminded Trevor too much of someone he once knew very well, therefore, he immediately felt unhappy when he saw it.

What exactly is in the mind of this silly girl to bravely come to a foreign man alone in a quiet place like this, Trevor does not understand.

Where are his parents? Does the girl have no companion?

Trevor just knew he wasn't going anywhere near the cunning girl. He kept a safe and proper distance from this girl, only half listening to her chatter and wondering if this girl would be an issue that he should consider when deciding to buy Grange.

But then, a pleasant sight was seen walking hurriedly from afar on the dusty country streets.

Grace has finally arrived.

The same unusual smile from a while earlier re-adorned Trevor's face while he noticed his beautiful friend was walking over.

For some reason, Trevor immediately understood that Miss Kenwood had come to save herself from this bully girl, not the other way around, but the little girl who walked with the woman slowed down her steps.

From what Trevor saw, the little girl who was with Grace must have asked for in a cradle, because then Grace picked her up and walked slower because she had to carry her.

Trevor is tempted to approach Grace and help her carry the little girl.

Miss Windlesham then turned to see what Trevor was looking at. The girl displayed an arrogant smile on her face.

"I knew he would come."

"Who is that?" plain tanyabTrevor, can not control himself. Habits that he cannot control, return to acting like a spy by collecting information about the person he wants.

"That's Miss Kenwood" the blonde replied. Then he pursed his little nose in an overly contrived style.

Trevor pretended to squint in the distance.

"Miss Kenwood...?"

"Previous old lady Father Kenwood."

"Old maiden?" trevor asked suddenly, looking at Miss Windlesham in surprise. But he understood right away.

Well, you're an evil little creature, aren't you? Oh, yes, trevor is very familiar with this kind of woman, a competitive woman who does not hesitate to stab from behind someone he considers a rival.

Miss Windlesham nodded, the look on her face showing sympathy.

"Poor woman, she's twenty-five and still no one's holding her."

Look at it later, Trevor thought, getting annoyed with Miss Windlesham. But this girl probably knows something important. For example, why until now Grace is still married.

"Yes," muttered Trevor carefully.

"As I recall, we did meet briefly in London. But I didn't get to talk to him much."

Miss Windlesham giggled, moving forward to the side of Trevor, while looking at the two who were approaching them.

"If you've only met Grace once in London, it's no wonder you don't remember her. He didn't even speak a word. He hates going to London, you know. He was by no means a person who was happy to gather with the nobles."

"Why is that?"
