a Day of Calm - Day of Calm

The smile still continued to be etched on my lips, even though it had already been a month since, after I was declared a pass.

Graduating from the thesis, is something I've been very proud of the past month.

After two hours of struggling in front of three lecturers, in the thesis courtroom, I felt relieved, because it was all now living memories.

I didn't get a perfect score for my script trial, but I'm pretty proud of my grade.

A month ago, I came to this college feeling worried, and also nervous.

Ayu and bowo were accompanying me, and they tirelessly asked me to calm down, as I started to walk into the courtroom.

Worry stayed with me during the thesis trial.

Ayu and bowo also accompanied me until my side score was announced, in the college newsletter.

A sense of relief and happiness instantly spread throughout my heart and mind, as I read my name declared graduated with satisfactory grades in the campus newsletter.

Bowo and ayu immediately hugged me, and another hug was also waiting for me when I got home.

The hug came not only from my mother and grandmother, but also from kiki, nia, mia and rani who were waiting for me at home.

A month had passed, now I was standing on the campus field, looking at the towering campus building firmly.

I could see the paint at the end of the building wall, it had started to peel off, and it was covered in moss that came after the rain.

"Thank you for giving me such an amazing experience and learning over the past four years" I thought to myself.

Today, I've completed all my files and script administration.

I also signed up, and chose to graduate in the second period of the year.

My graduation ceremony, or graduation, is planned to last less than three months.

I'm sure time will pass, because in less than three weeks, Rani and kak alan will have their wedding.

"Raraaaaa" shouted dita who ran from the direction of the campus building.

"Ditaaaa", I shouted back at Dita by stretching out my hand.

When she was near me, we hugged.

"You're done with administration" asked me.

"Udah, I have also registered for the second period of graduation, ayu the same bowo as well, earlier" I replied to dita.

"So the four of us graduated with dong", shouted cheerfully.

I immediately smiled and embraced dita, the two of us then looked at the campus building.

"Finally our hopes for graduation together are achieved yes" I told dita.

"Yes ra, I'm very happy, but also sad because the graduation runs out directly at home" said Dita with a sad face.

"Yes, let alone ayu, far away in the lampung" I told dita.

"We can meet ayu again not yes after graduation" said I lirih.

Dita then grabbed my hand, and said that one day, when we were adults, we would have a chance to get together again.

Graduation is indeed a very happy moment for every student, but even so, there is always a sense of sadness for separation tucked in the happy moment.

After four years together, the reality of life sets us apart, and leads us to begin life as real adults.

Me and Dita then walked to the parking lot together, while recalling every corner of the campus that we had passed.

Dita planned to go straight home to semarang, to start looking for job vacancies.

Ayu and bowo choose to stay in Jogja until graduation day.

Bowo will try to find a job position offered by Jogja, for students who just graduated.

While I was, I was still worried about the decision I had to make.

Two weeks ago, Kiki and Mia were also declared to have graduated from the campus.

Although I was the first to be declared a pass between the four of us, but my graduation ceremony was the last.

I actually still want to linger on campus, but the campus is still quiet, the lecture has not started, so I decided to go home, and ride my motorcycle slowly towards home.

I want to enjoy my last day back from college.

A moment I might not be able to repeat with the same feeling.

A moment that I might only remember, as I passed through every street around campus.

The last moment of my status as a student, which will soon pass.

By the time I got home, there was already a rani and a mother who was looking at the cardboard box that was on the table in the living room.

"Assalamualaikum", I said, to the two of them.

"Waalaikumsalam", answered rani and the mother together.

"Udah is done with his business", mother asked me.

"Udah ma'am", I answered, then kissed my mother's hand.

I then saw the contents of the box, with my mother and rani, and I immediately cried out with excitement as soon as I saw the contents.

"The law is done" I asked with pleasure.

"Udah nih, just come, this again wants to check" answered rani.

Rani then opened the cardboard box in front of us with a feeling of pleasure, mother immediately saw the design of the invitation card, then counted the contents.

Mother then murmured, whether the invitation is right, or if someone is missing.

"This is an invitation for her mom and mom" said the mother, holding out an invitation card to me.

"You anter yourself yes, love directly to the mother dimas" said the mother in a tone that did not want to be denied.

"Through the post yes ma'am" I said, trying to reprimand my mother.

"Don't dong ra, her mom is cooked well with you, you are anterin ya to solo", pinta mom.

"Who's going there" I asked with a manyun's lips.

"Alone, later I will be the same brother alan anterin you to the station, and also we will pick you up at the station" said rani lightly.

"Emang can not be anted until solo, if you take the train, continue in his solos how until the house is dimas" I replied spoiled.

"Can't ra, my business is the same as alan is still a lot, if you've reached solo, you can ask to pick up dimas", answered rani without burden.

"Tuh dengerin rani, if you are busy, you can take a taxi" said my mother to me.

"Ran, tell me nia dong, send me anther", I asked rani in a pleading tone.

"You forgot, he was busy packing items that would be sent to Jakarta", answered rani.

I then took out all the possible names, which could lead me to a solo.

But it turns out that none of the names I mentioned, had the time to drive me solo.

I finally agreed and relented, after my mother promised to give more fees.

Mom and Rani finished separating each invitation card by location, without my help, because I was busy naming every name that could accompany me to solo.

Mom then assigned me to send rani and kak alan wedding invitation cards to relatives and neighbors, who lived in a neighborhood close to our home.

I was also in charge of giving invitations to my closest friends on campus, as well as to my mother's housemates.

When I asked why not use courier services alone, the mother replied that she had a daughter who could be a courier, so there was no need to use a courier.

I immediately heard my mother's answer.

At the same time, when alan's brother came home from the office, he said that he was only willing to take me to the station on Sunday, because it was the only day, which according to alan, he was not busy.

The goal is also not only to take me to the station, but kak alan also wants to deliver invitations to school teachers, and campus lecturers who have guided kak alan to study.
