Nadira with a happy smile said, "Hamzah, there's something you want to tell you."
"What is that, Mama? You look very excited" asked Hamzah enthusiastically.
Nadira smiled wider. "Mama's pregnant, Hamzah. You're gonna be a big brother."
Hamzah's eyes were wide open. "Well, really, Ma? I'm gonna have a sister? I'm so happy!"
"Yes, Son. Your sister is growing inside your mother's womb. We will take good care of him and give him a lot of love" Nadira replied. "You'll soon be a great brother to your sister. We're gonna have a bigger, more loving family."
"God's Masya. Alhamdulillahot. I finally have a sister too. I'm really happy, Mama! I will be a good brother and look after my sister with great affection" Hamzah said.
"That's very good, Hamzah. Your sister will be very lucky to have a sister like you. We're gonna make a lot of great memories together."
"I got impatient, wanted to see his face immediately and invite him to play."
"Your sister will be born in a few months, son. We must be patient and prepare well for his arrival."
"I'll help Mama in preparing everything. I'm so impatient!"
"Thank you, Hamzah. I really appreciate your help and joy. Together, we will travel this journey with joy."
"I really love my mom and my sister who are about to be born. We'll always be a loving family."
Nadira rubbed Hamzah's cheek gently. "I love you too, son. We are a strong and supportive family. I'm so grateful to have you both."
"I'm also grateful to have my mom and my family. I am proud to have Mama who is the motivator of everyone, Papa and Kak Hafiz who became international Quran racers, the founding grandfather of Al Fathonah boarding school, Oma and Opa whose business is very advanced, Haikal Uak who became an international chef, Om Ali who also saw a lot in politics, as well as our other families who always inspire and motivate me to move forward."
"Masyaa Allah. Barakallah. Mama is also proud of you who want to learn and keep trying to achieve dreams. We will face the future together with happiness."
Hamzah feels like a butterfly dancing on his belly when imagining having a younger sibling to be born from his mother's womb. To him, it was like lightning struck his heart, emitting happiness that filled the entire space in his soul.
To him, having a younger brother was like a star born in the sky of his family. It was like seeing a beautiful rose blossom in the garden of her happy heart. The joy felt like morning dew watering the leaves, giving a hopeful new life.
Every time Hamzah imagined his younger sibling, it was like hearing a beautiful melody ringing in his ears. Like water ripples playing around in a small river, giving warmth and cheerfulness. He knew that having a younger sibling would fill his life with infinite love.
To him, having a younger brother was like a rare gem found in a sand pit. A precious gift that makes her feel special and unique. He was convinced that the presence of a younger sibling would enrich his life with fond memories and irreplaceable togetherness.
In Hamzah's heart, having a sister is like the light of the sun that illuminates his days. Like a beautiful rainbow that appears after a rainstorm, it gives new beauty and hope. He could not wait to see his sister's face and embrace her affectionately.
Hamzah knew that having a younger brother would bring about a major change in his life. However, she was prepared to face all the challenges and take the time to become a good big brother. To him, having a younger sibling was a priceless gift, a blood tie that could not be measured by words. Even so, Hamzah still loves and loves his cousin later if born his sister the twins or from Ali.
"Oh yes, Mama has told you this happy news as well as Brother Hafiz yet?"
Nadira patted his body. "Astaghfirullahal. Mama forgot, so happy."
"Come, Ma, tell brother, I miss big brother too!" hamzah said enthusiastically.
Without wasting any time, Nadira immediately grabbed her phone and quickly pressed a video call to Hafiz's number. The atmosphere around him was tense, as Nadira was so eager to talk to Hafiz.
The phone rang with increasing intensity, filling the room with a hopeful sound. However, as the bell went dozens of times, Hafiz's voice was still not heard from the other side of the call. Nadira felt a little disappointed, but he did not despair. He knew how busy Hafiz was with his lectures and it was possible that Hafiz could not pick up his phone.
With determination, Nadira decided to call a re-call. He hoped with all his heart that Hafiz could answer his call this time. Wait a minute, and finally, a connection sign is formed and Hafiz appears on the phone screen.
Hafiz's face looked a little tired, but his smile instantly radiated as soon as he realized the call came from Nadira. She seemed happy to be able to talk to her mother after a long day. Hafiz quickly explained that she had just finished college and apologized for being late to respond to the call.
Nadira was relieved to see Hafiz in the video call. They began to talk, ask each other the news and share stories about their days. Despite the distance apart, through this video call, they felt close to each other.
The initially anxious and tense atmosphere turned warm and cheerful as Nadira and Hafiz engaged each other in their conversation. They both cherish every moment they have together, no matter how small it is. Like a mother and child in general, the inner bond is always strong despite the distance apart.
"Who's mom is there?" asked Hafiz who heard a quiet voice from the other end of the phone.
"Your sister, Hamzah," replied Nadira. "Oh yes, mama almost forgot, so too awkward with you because long time no meeting and communication. Mama has some good news, right!" he continued which made Hafiz curious.
"What good news, Ma? Hamzah wants to continue his education to Cairo as well or what?" ask Hafiz.
"You'll have another sister, son," Nadira said with a smile.
Not far from being happy from Hamzah, Hafiz was also happy to hear the news that he would have another sister.
"Huh? Mama's pregnant again? Allah Masyaa. Alhamdulillahot. Finally, after a long time, my prayer was answered as well" said Hafiz. She hopes to have a younger sister to have her sister complete. In addition, his mother will have friends to confide in fellow women, cook together, and do other activities carried out by women.
Next to Nadira, Hamzah asked Nadira to give her phone because she wanted to talk to her brother.
"Duh, your sister this one is very busy from earlier, want to talk to her brother," said Nadira while glancing at Hamzah with a smile.
Hamzah's face was clear because it was as long as the mother who missed her brother..
"Yes, Ma, just give the phone to Hamzah. Fear of being carried away by dreams," said Hafiz, slightly teasing his sister. "Where's Hamzah, Ma?" tanyakanya.
Nadira gives his cell phone to Hamzah. This makes Hamza excited.
"Assalamu'alaikum, Brother. When do you come home, anyway? Rarely come home, rarely communicate. It's as busy as it is," muttered Hamzah.
"I'm sorry, my dear sister. Brother is really busy at the end of the semester. Not even sister work here that takes up time. Even though it is relaxing for yourself, there is nothing. Free time is only used for a short break."
"Hmm, that's it, brother. When do you have plans to go home? We're here to miss Big Brother so much, let alone we'll soon be a new member." Hamzah told me excitedly, as if his older brother, Hafiz, was not given the opportunity to respond. "Oh yes, besides the good news, there is also sad news in our family, Brother."
Hamzah's statement made the atmosphere suddenly tense.
"Delivery news? What's the news, Dek?" ask Hafiz. His heart suddenly beat.
"Uak Yasmin miscarried two months ago when she was four months pregnant. There was an accident at his house, when the twins were playing. Well, you know they are very active children, Aqeela at that time wanted to fall from the stairs, Uak Yasmin immediately ran, but instead slipped," explained Hamzah, pausing for a moment. "Certain Uak Yasmin was taken to the hospital, because what did he say, Ma?" Hamzah looked towards Nadira.
Hafiz's cell phone screen now filled up Mama and Hamzah, along with a small screen that showed his face.
"Uak Yasmin was bleeding heavily due to the strong shaking when she slipped. Her stomach was bumped on the floor, so the fetus in her womb had to be removed and had to be caged." Nadira explained with trembling lips. He asked to be kept away bad things that happened to him and the fetus that is being conceived. "You try to call Uak Yasmin, yes, comfort her. Well, you're having some news with the twins. When you play there, the twins ask you to continue."
Hafiz let out a heavy sigh. "Innalillahi wa inna ilaihi roji'uun. Hafiz misses a lot of information, Ma. So feel guilty," he said with a lethargic face.
"It's okay, honey, don't worry too much about us here. The important thing is that you are healthy there always, made easy on all affairs, and always protected by Him."
Excuse me for entering class. "Sister, Hamzah pamit first, yes. Hamzah wants to go to class. Ustadnya ferociously, Hamzah will be punished again." Hamzah's words suddenly made his sister and mother smile.
"Who's it gonna be, Dek?" ask Hafiz.
"Who else if not Ustad Ammar" replied Hamzah who hurriedly wanted to end the conversation.
Nadira and Hafiz laughed. Nadira shook his head with a smile looking at the boy who was drunk when he saw the watch in Hamzah's hand.
"Yes already, Brother. I went to class first, yeah. Assalamu'alakum." Hamzah rushed to the building where he studied. Leaving her mother and sister with increasingly serious chatter.
Though unable to meet physically, this video call gives them the comfort and strength to live out their days. Nadira and her children supported each other and planned a time to meet as soon as Hafiz's college schedule was up.
The video call ended with the promise that they would stay in touch and strengthen each other through technology, until the moment they could be together in person.
