It's up to God

It's up to God
Make Peace With the Past

To come to terms with the past, we must have the intention to let go of anger, let go of regrets, cut things that cannot be let go, and accept that not everything can happen as desired. Whatever happens in life, happiness or sadness, must be accepted sincerely, because the one responsible for happiness is ourselves, not others. So, this life will become more alive when someone can make peace with things that have happened in the past.

Life is full of colors, while still breathing, there will always be many things experienced. On this journey, we must find many roads, not always straight; there are twists, climbs, derivatives, and even can meet the abyss. Most important is how we can overcome every situation that occurs in life and must be calm, and eliminate excessive thoughts that do not necessarily occur. Those thoughts are the source of the disease, so that makes us shut ourselves up and do not want to accept destiny.

After listening to the advice of her husband, Nadira tries to be sincere in accepting destiny; at peace with yourself, circumstances, and all things that happen in life. It is time for Nadira to really let go of all the anxiety and worry that excess in order to live life calmly, he said, including when he tried to forgive his parents who rarely did not even have much time to accompany the growth and development of Nadira.

"Are you ready?" ask Ammar.

"It has. Hafiz is ready, too!" nadira answered, then sighed and said lafaz hamdallah.

They're headed for Hafiz school. Along the way, Nadira prepares to meet with Farah and intends to speak to her teacher Hafiz. Nadira wanted to release the burden that had been carried and disturbed his mind.

Not long after, arrive at the National Kindergarten School. Some children have arrived at school, some have just come with their parents.

Seen a beautiful female figure with long hair unraveling, was walking towards the teacher's room. Nadira called a woman named Farah.

"Excuse me, Farah's mother." Nadira called out in a slightly loud voice to be heard by Farah.

Farah stopped and looked. Hafiz approached and hugged him. Farah sat down to catch Hafiz's body.

"Good morning, Mother Falah (Farah)," said Hafiz who is currently in the hands of his teacher

.

"Good morning too, Hafiz," Farah replied with a smile.

Ammar and Nadira see their son's closeness to Farah. The warmth of both can be felt. Ammar and Nadira stared at each other.

"Mom Farah, could you please have a minute? There's something we need to talk about" Nadira said.

Ammar is very private, does not want to be too involved in someone's problems, even his own wife, unless asked.

"I'm waiting in the car, yeah," said Ammar.

Nadira nodded. He was worried that Farah would feel uncomfortable if Ammar listened to what would be said.

"Son, papa go home first, yeah. Hafiz studied diligently," said Ammar, greeted by Hafiz's hand to greet him.

"Ready, Pa!" answer Hafiz. He was respectful as if he was reporting or receiving orders from superiors. His behavior is really like an adult.

Ammar walked to the parking lot. Leaving behind his son and wife, and his teacher Hafiz.

"Hafiz goes to class first, yeah. Farahnya's mother wants to talk first with mama," asked Nadira while peeping his beloved son's forehead.

Hafiz obeyed his mother's orders. While Nadira and Farah went to the teacher's room, especially to Farah's private room.

In Farah's room, they were sitting on the sofa.

"What are you talking about, Madam Nadira?" ask Farah. "Oh yeah, what do you want to drink, ma'am? Let me get the OB to drop drinks from the cafeteria over here," he further asked.

"Oh, no need, ma'am. I drink only water. There is already mineral water here" replied Nadira while pointing to mineral water in plastic glass packaging on the table.

"Emm, so gini, Miss Farah. Earlier I apologized if you later felt uncomfortable with the question or what I want to talk about. May I ask you something?" Nadira.

"What does Miss Nadira want to talk about, huh? So curious. Why should I feel uncomfortable?" Farah was confused with Nadira. What exactly do you want to ask or talk about.

Nadira took a long breath.

"Bismillah. Farah's mom knows this guy, doesn't she?" he asked while showing a photo of someone on his phone.

Farah's smile faded as she looked at the photo shown by Nadira. His mind wondered why Nadira could know the man and ask him.

Farah breathed heavily.

"Emm .., she's my ex-fiance, Mom. How did Madam Nadira get to know him?" ask Farah who is getting curious.

"He was my ex-boyfriend, before I finally married his father Hafiz. I was disappointed with Jerry because he was not honest about his identity, especially religion. Indeed, religion is very sensitive, but as a person who adheres to Islam, I should not be related to non-Muslim religion. Especially until marriage. Indeed, I was also wrong, trapped in a bond that is not halal. Maybe that's the only way God showed me and Jerry we weren't meant to be together" Nadira said, taking a drink because his throat was dry.

"I'm sorry, I had a drink, Mom." Nadira asked for permission because her breathing felt tight.

Farah smiled and nodded.

"Yes, please," he said.

Nadira continued his story.

"Our relationship at that time had been running six years when we knew we were different religions. Then, I saw a photo of Farah's mother with Jerry. I feel jealous, angry, disappointed, all mixed feelings." Nadira's eyes glazed over, her tears seemed to want to go down right then and there.

Farah immediately sat closer to Nadira and hugged Nadira. He understood the disappointment Nadira felt.

"Mother Nadira if you want to cry, cry. Don't hold. Sick, Mom, it feels like if it's not removed. Just release. I understand everything, really," said Farah, calming Nadira. Though not married to Jerry, Farah can make peace with the past because she believes God's destiny is better than anything she has planned.

While shedding tears, Nadira continued her story.

"What hurts even more, Jerry never told me that he was engaged to Farah's mother. Oh yeah, call me, Nadira." Nadira wiped her tears with a tissue.

"Then call me, Farah too. Don't be Farah's mother, let's be more familiar." Farah asked for something similar with Nadira for a greeting.

Nadira nodded.

"Awhile, if I didn't hear wrong, you said that Jerry was an ex-fiancee. Does that mean you're not married?" asked Nadira who was curious because she never again knew about Jerry's life, let alone related to the man who had once stopped in her heart.

"It's a long story, Nad. In essence, after we had a relationship because we were betrothed, we felt there was no match. Jerry is in love with you. He finally told me when we decided to go our own way" Farah said.

They both told me with relief, especially Nadira. His heart felt airy after knowing the truth. Nadira learns about forgiving the wounds and the person who made the wounds in her heart. Trying to make peace with the past to live a quieter life.
