It's up to God

It's up to God
Be thankful to Him

After traveling a considerable distance, Nadira and Ammar finally arrive at their home; the house that will be the beginning and end of the story of their life's journey.

The noise from outside the car caught Nadira and Ammar's ears. They did not expect to be welcomed this festive, but never asked to hold a party or event again after Ijab kabul the other day. However, the enthusiasm of the citizens, made this newly married couple touched. They waved to the surrounding residents, until finally the eyes stopped on a face that was familiar to Nadira and Ammar. Who else if both parents Ammar.

This house not far from the city center is a wedding gift from his father Nadira. Both Nadira's parents and her brother have not been able to take them to their new home, but prayers and blessings are always given to Nadira and Ammar. That is why, on the first day Nadira and Ammar set up their new home, only two of Ammar's parents were seen. Especially today, Nadira's family has their own busyness that cannot be left behind and promises to come when work can be left behind.

Ammar almost forgot that their house was just about to be inhabited, that is why it must be done in prayer first to ask for blessings and protection from Allah, the All-Giver and Protector.

Quoted from various sources, there are several practices of occupying a new home recommended in Islam, namely :

The first step is to give thanks to God. In the Qur'an, as a creature of His creation, we are asked to always be grateful for the blessings given. This is stated in the word of God which reads:

Wa idz ta adzana rabbukum la in syakartum la azidannakum wa other kafartum inna ‘adzabi lasyadid.

It means: ““Remember when your Lord announces; “Verily if you are grateful, surely We will add (merciful) to you, and if you deny (my mercy), then indeed My punishment is very painful.” (QS. Pans: 7)

Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala also said in QS. Ad-Duha (93) verse 11.

wa ammaa bini'mati robbika fa haddis

It means: "And as to the favor of your Lord, let you declare (with gratitude)."

The second step as the practice of occupying a new home is the thanksgiving of a new home. This is a form of gratitude that is not only spoken through oral, but also done with activities.

Apart from the two practices above, the Prophet salallahu 'alaihi wasallam also gave advice to do the following things.

First: Diligently read the Koran and any worship in the house. The Prophet advised us to distinguish the house from the grave. The cemetery is a place that is never done for worship, while the house is recommended to always be used for worship.

Second: Read the prayer when entering the house. The little thing to get used to when entering the house is to read prayers when entering the house. This is done so that the house we live in is not used as a place to stay.

Here is a prayer when entering the house.

Assalaamu 'alaynaa wa 'alaa 'ibaadillahish shaalihiina. Allaahumma innii as - aluka khayral mawliji wa khayral makhraji. Bismillahi walajnaa wa bismillaahi kharajnaa wa 'alallahi tawakkalnaa, alhamdulilaahil ladzii awaanii.

It means: "May Allah pour out salvation upon us and upon His righteous servants. O Allah, that I ask You for the good of my entry and my exit. By saying Your name I enter, and by calling the name of God I come out. And to the God of our Lord, we surrender. Praise be to God who has protected us." (CHR. Abu Daud)

Third: Read the prayer when leaving the house. The thing to do when leaving the house is to read the prayer when leaving the house. This is done so that when leaving the house is given instructions and fulfilled.

Here is a prayer when you leave the house.

Bismilaahi tawakkaltu 'alallahi wa laa hawla wa laa quwwata illaa billaahi.

Means: "By mentioning the name of Allah, I yield myself to Allah and have no power or strength other than Allah alone." (CHR. Abu Daud and Tirmidhi)

After it is known the practices that need to be done when occupying a new house, the next thing that also needs to be known is to ask for prayer when occupying a new house. One of the prayers we can pray is as follows.

"Allahumma innii as-aluka khairal mawlaji wa khairal makhraji bismillahi wa lajnaa wa bismillahi kharajnaa wa 'alaallahi rabbanaa tawakkalnaa.”

It means : “Yes Allah, verily I plead with You for the good of the house I entered and the good of the house I left behind."

The event held is quite simple, but the impact in the future will be big. May what has been promised be granted by Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala. The Sultan's given house, finally starting today can be occupied by Nadira and Ammar. May you always have blessings and protection in your life. That is the hope of everyone. Not only for his residence, but the household of Nadira and Ammar as well. Especially in marriage, there will certainly be various tests that should be able to strengthen each other or even destroy.

"Alhamdulillah, yes. The show went well," said thanks from Aisyah (Umi Ammar).

"His intention is to propose to girls people, uh .. get a house bonus, yes!" lutfi (Abinya Ammar) said, flirting.

"Where beautiful, kind, clever, and salihah again," Aisyah said.

"All this happened by the will of God, Umi, Abi. If God does not grant my prayers, surely none of this will ever happen" Ammar said, looking at Nadira's embarrassed face.

Nadira could not speak anymore. His tongue was suddenly confused, but he felt the same way as Ammar; he was grateful for all that God had given.

When all the guests had gone home, suddenly the voice of someone loudly surprised. Lutfi, Aisyah, and Ammar looked at each other, as if they recognized the owner of the voice. Then, hurry up to the source of his voice.

Sure enough, it turns out that the owner of the voice was Lutfi's first child from his first wife who had died.

Lutfi hugged her son who had just returned from London.

"When did you get home? Why don't you tell Abi first?" Lutfi was delighted to be reunited with her family. "How do you know we're here?" tanyanya was curious because he had not communicated with his first child named Muhammad Ali Baraqbah. Ali deliberately changed his number so that no family could contact him.

However, Lutfi's happy smile was broken by Ali. He also let go of his brother's embrace.

"Don't be pretentious to care about me. Not since the arrival of this woman in our lives," Ali said while pointing at Aisyah's face. "Abi would rather live with him. Especially since the presence of this man!" This time Ali pointed at his sister's face (Ammar). "All Abi's attention and affection, turn to him."

"Original. Abi has said many times, why are you still talking about this?" Lutfi tried to hold back her emotions.

"What Abi needs to know, even though we haven't been in communication for years, I know a lot about our family. Oops, not our family, but Abi's family because the word 'we' is too familiar to me and Abi who are already strangers." Ali spoke as if he did not care about the feelings of his mother and sister, especially his own brother. He also did not pay attention to the figure of Nadira who has now become his sister-in-law.

"Name ...! Enough ...! Stop saying!" The sultan finally ascended. Can not stand the treatment of Ali who continues to blame Aisyah for the rupture of Ali's relationship with him. In fact, Ali himself could not make peace with himself.

"Oww .. oww .. oww ...!" Ali clapped his hands while surrounding Lutfi. "It turns out a cleric can be angry too, yes. Someone who has been a role model of all his students, but why not be a good role model for his son. Uh, that means for me. Abi's son has two, now."

Lutfi let out a heavy sigh. There's a sense of raging inside the chest. Don't know what else to say. He was embarrassed for failing to educate Ali. Pun feels guilty to the late his first wife for not being able to maintain the trust given to make Ali a noble child.

"Oh yeah, I almost forgot." Ali's views turned to Ammar. He gave his hand to Ammar as he said, "Congratulations on your marriage, yes. Congratulations on your new home. Uh, the new house your in-laws gave you."

Ammar smiled faintly.

"Yes. Thanks for the words, brother."

"May you have no regrets about marrying her, yes," Ali told her sister-in-law (Nadira) as she stared at Ammar cynically.

The atmosphere in Ammar's house became hot, exceeding the sun's current during the day. The tears from Aisyah's eyeballs could no longer be dammed, she cried in Lutfi's arms. Lutfi tried to calm Aisyah's heart. Ask Aisyah to be patient again so that she can be accepted by Ali. Ali's nature is stubborn, she has not been able to accept Aisyah because for her—no one can replace her mother figure. Nadira could only shut up. She did not want to interfere too much with the problems in her husband's family, but she would always be there when it was needed and asked for an opinion.

Ali left after setting a fire inside Ammar's house. Though Ammar recently held a prayer of salvation for his new home, but the Power of Allah— may be one form of testing that must be received at the beginning of his marriage. I hope Nadira doesn't take heart from her brother's words.

Despite the brothers, Ali was different from Ammar. From hobbies, ideals, and nature. Though the upbringing of their abi is not different, it's just stubbornness, unwilling to be regulated, and angry Ali was formed since the departure of his uminya a few years ago before Ali decided to continue S2 college in London, the London Schools of Economics and Political Science (United Kingdom). This university is ranked tenth in the best graduates of the world. London Schools of Economics and Political Science is a university that seeks to put forward problems in the world, such as economics and politics.

Ammar went to Cairo to study at Al Azhar University. This university became the mainstay university to study the religion of Islam. Students from all over the world, many of whom study here. In fact, great figures such as Gus Dur and Quraysh Shihab (Abinya Najwa Shihab) completed his education at the campus. Al Azhar is one of the oldest universities in the world, which opened in 988. The university is committed to providing Islamic thinking based on modernization and is able to excel in the field of education. One of the majors at this university is Islamic religious sciences that will provide students with an understanding of the ins and outs of Islam, including its traditions.

In addition to being one of the universities that are in demand by the community, this university was built by the Fatimid Bani who adhered to the Ismaili Shia sect and the name Al-Azhar took from the name of Sayyidah Fatimah az-Zahra, the daughter of Prophet Muhammad. The university was first built in 970 AD was once used as a backdrop for one of the big screen films in Indonesia, namely When Cinta Bertasbih several years ago.

However, despite many differences, Ammar and Ali inherited the nature of his brother who was full of responsibility. Only, Ali has his own views on life, especially he is more interested in politics.
