DEW PURITY

DEW PURITY
Mother's Promise

"Abra, you're coming, baby!" greeting Indira kindly, Abra nodded without saying Abra. Abra's cold attitude remains the same, although Indira always tries to get close and understand Abra.

"Clean yourself, we'll have dinner together!" indira said, Abra just silently listened to Indira's words. Why is Abra's heart uncertain tonight?

The Dew and Haykal debate that took place in Abra's office. He had to go to Abimata's house. Abra must fulfill Dewun's wish. A wish as proof, if Dewun never wanted to take Abra from his family. A clear compulsion made Abra reluctant to be in Abimata's house.

"Mama, I saw Abra's car. Is he home?"

"Your brother just went to his room. Mama asked your sister, to clean up. After that we had dinner together!" indira said, Ibra nodded in understanding.

Ibra went in the same direction as Abra. Ibra walked to her room. Ibra who came after Abra, felt her body start sultry. So he wanted to go to his room and clean up. But his footsteps came to a halt, when he heard Indira's call. The voice of a mother who worries about the condition of her other son. An uneasiness that can be felt from the way Indira speaks.

"Ibra!" call Indira doubtful, Ibra stared in wonder. He could feel the worry of a mother. Ibra walked over to Indira, hoping she could figure out Indira's agitated reason.

"What's wrong? Why does mom look so nervous?"

"Is there a problem in the office? Or is Abra and Dewun fighting?" indira said confused, Ibra looked down silent.

A mother is able to see her son's uneasiness. Without having to hear the complaints or the voice of the son. The instinct of a mother who will feel the pain and restlessness of her son. A natural cue that only a mother can understand. Like the anxiety of Indira to see the cold and silent attitude of Abra. Abra was never born from her womb. But Abra was like a real child for Indira. A son born of sincerity and affection. A mother wishes to see her son happy.

"No problem in the office. Everything went very well, even too well!"

"Then, did Abra and Dew fight?"

"I've never heard them fight!"

"Lantas, what happened to your sister? It's not usually that your brother is silent and this cold. There was no twinkle in his gaze. When mom asked her to talk, your sister just kept quiet without a word. It was as if his heart and soul were going without direction!"

"I don't know, mama asked Abra's sister. Since noon I've been out of the office. I don't know, what happened at the office?"

"That means something happened in the office!"

"Come on ma, I don't want to interfere. For I myself do not know the truth. Better, mama ask papa or Abra's brother. Only they know what happened!"

"Why papa? What else did he do?" indira said coldly, Ibra shook her head. Then walk to his room. Leaving Indira in curiosity.

"I didn't do anything?" sahut Haykal, Indira turned with a gaze that was ready to draw Haykal's soul.

"I didn't do anything!" haykal said affirming, Indira was silent not budging. Indira clearly did not believe Haykal's words. His heart and Haykal's fear, made him believe that something was going on between Haykal and Abra.

"What are you doing?" indira said coldly and firmly, Haykal shook his head evading Indira's question.

"Say or papa will regret?"

"Dear baby, I didn't do anything? Maybe Abra was stressed, so he came to our house. Since childhood, he has lived in this house. Of course Abra would be more comfortable, if he lived in this house!" haykal said at length. Indira remained in disbelief, she approached Haykal. Indira stared at Haykal's clinging.

"Speak or you'll regret it!" indira said firmly, Haykal was silent staring at the two eyeballs of Indira.

"All right, I confess, I went to Abra's office. I had a disagreement with Abra. Everything was fine until the woman came. He's the one who's muddying the mood. Until finally me and the woman were arguing!"

"That's all!"

Indira walked towards Abra's room, Haykal looked at Indira's attitude with a look of wonder. Haykal tried to hold Indira back. But Haykal's hand was brushed aside by Indira. Clearly Indira did not want Haykal to interfere in his affairs. Indira continued to step towards Abra's room. Haykal decided to follow Indira's steps.

Tok Tok Tok Tok Tok Tok Tok

"Abra, can aunty come in!" indira said, shortly after knocking on the door of Abra's room.

"Please, the door is unlocked!" yelled Abra from inside. Abra stood on the balcony of her room. Abra looked at the starry night sky. He was in his right hand holding a bottle of soda.

"Abra!"

"What's the aunt?" abra said, then went into his room. Abra sat on the long sofa that was inside her room. Indira immediately sat in front of Abra. Indira saw clearly the anxiety of the son's heart.

"Whatever happens between Papa and Dewun. You shouldn't leave the Dew alone. During her pregnancy, she needed you!"

"But the Dew asked me to stay in this house. Although to be honest, I can't be far from the Dew. I'm afraid something happened to her!"

"Then why did you leave him? You should take care of him, not just because your father is selfish. You left the Dew alone. Despite all that Dew requests!"

"I'm confused auntie, on the other hand I'm worried thinking about Dew. But on the other hand, I was afraid to refuse his request. It will even make the Dew depressed!" abra said, Indira smiled. Gently Indira clasped Abra's hand.

"Abra, that woman was always like that. He was hard on the outside, but his heart was weak and fragile. The Dew asked for something that he really did not want. Just for the sake of fun or even proving your papa's accusations wrong. But believe it or not, right now if there is a crying heart. Of course it's Dew's heart, he's sick away from you. Not Dew is not willing to see you among your family. Being away from your husband is not easy. The selfish attitude of a wife who is afraid of losing!"

"Then, what should I do?" abra lirih.

"Go home, accompany the Dew and take care of the pregnancy. If you want to have dinner with us or stay at home. Come with Dew, never come alone without it. Even if it's a Dew request!"

"But!" abra hesitated, Indira turned to Haykal.

"If you doubt because of him, auntie will make him understand. He's gone too far, it's time for aunt to act!"

"Thank you aunt, thank you!" abra said cheerfully, then kissed the back of Indira's hand.

"I don't need your word Abra. Seeing your smile is enough to make me happy. Your warm attitude that I just felt. It's enough to make me feel a mother's happiness. For your smile, I'll do anything? I will do my duty as a mother. Although for all that I have to deal with a husband that I respect the most. The man I love the most. Maybe I could, if I had to lose him. All for the sake of the smile on your face!" inner Indira was happy, while rubbing the hand that had just been kissed by Abra.

"Wait for Abra, won't you stay over!" yelled Haykal, as he saw Abra pass him by.

"Heykal!"

"Honey, why call me that?"

"Whatever you were doing in the office. I won't find out, but plant it in your mind. Once again I know that you are disturbing the happiness of my son Abra. I'll leave you and this house!"

"Darling!"

"It's not just a threat without evidence. It's the promise of a mother who doesn't want to see her son cry. Remember Haykal, never test a mother's patience. If you don't want to see his anger!" indira said firmly, then left Haykal.

"Sorry!"
