DEW PURITY

DEW PURITY
FUNERAL

"Where are you taking me? Now is not the time to play, there is a lot of work to be done. Our relationship is not that good. Until I had to go out together, for a relationship I never wanted!" hanif said cynically full of annoyance.

Dew stared fixedly at Hanif's face, a handsome face that was almost the same as Abah Iman. Father raised him with great affection. A father who is now disenfranchised of his only son. All because of misunderstandings that do not deserve to exist. On a level basis, Hanif is the older cousin of Dewun. But status-wise, she's Hanif's older sister. For the Dew has become the first daughter of the Faith. Reasons that make Dewun entitled to educate Hanif.

"Shut your mouth, get in the car immediately. Remember Hanif, I can make you stay on the streets in the next few seconds. If you feel able to live without Adijaya's treasure. Please refuse my orders, but if you still need Adijaya's treasure. You better shut up!" sahut Cold dew, the sound of Dew like snow freezing Hanif's body.

Braakkkk

Hanif closed the door of the Dew car so violently. Anger is clearly visible from his attitude, but Dew is not disturbed. He was calmer, when handling Hanif. While Hanif looks very upset and hateful to Dewun. Hate that starts with a misunderstanding. But Dewun believes, Hanif has a good heart. He'll understand, when Dew explains everything.

Before long, Dew was driving his car. Hanif was sitting right beside the Dew. Hanif turned his eyes out the car window. Not once did Hanif consider the existence of Dewun. Hanif harbored an enormous hatred in his heart for Dewun. Hanif felt Dew caused his loneliness. He reasons Faith for forgetting its existence. The sister's dew accidentally leaves her estranged and ends up moving away from the family with a festering wound.

"Where will he take me away? Is he not very disciplined at work. Now he's out of the office for no apparent reason. Honestly, I don't care about his hospitality. He's still my enemy, the reason I lost papa's affection. He who makes me lonely, lives without knowing papa. Holding back that longing every second is tormenting. She's the only one who makes me hate papa. A father I miss every second of my life. Why is he between me and Papa? Why was I born? If I am really neglected. My anger, just my way of covering my painful tears. I miss a father's warm embrace. My body is too tired to wait. I'm hurt by this loneliness. My eyes are too tired to cry. Who her? Until you never realized my presence. How special is it? Until papa needed him so much. For her sake, papa ignored my cries. For the sake of his presence, papa ignored my existence. To forget it, Papa stayed away from me. He's just him, the one who's guilty of ruining my life. He made me cry, tears that no longer came out of my eyes. Tears that come out of my heart. My hatred for him, created a rage that tormented me. I'm tormented, every time I snap at papa. Looking at papa's silence, it made me feel worthless in his life. Now that he's back, will I cry blood. Staring at the back of papa who's getting away!" hanif's mind was sad, Hanifa looked straight out the car window. Hanif bit his hand, just for the sake of holding back his tears. Hanif didn't want Dew to see his tears.

Dew turned towards Hanif. A smile appeared on Dew's face. Dew easily saw the tears that Hanif was intentionally holding back. Hanif's hand shook with anxiety. The reason Dew was aware of the tears Hanif wanted to hide. Dew understood Hanif's anger and hatred towards her. The dew of a child who had snatched the warm hand of the brother of Faith from Hanif.

The bus continues to drive his car. There was no sound, Dewun and Hanif were just silent without a word. Both chose to dissolve in the daydream. Before long, the Dewun car stopped in a cemetery area. Nearly fifteen minutes, the Dew car drove down the highway. Finally, the car stopped at the cemetery. Hanif immediately flinched, when he realized the place they had come to.

"We're down!" said Dew coldly and firmly, Hanif turned his head towards Dewun. A gaze that seemed to reject the Dew invitation.

"Come down, you'll know why we came. Maybe after this, you'll find the reason for your hatred for me!" demun said, then got out of his car. The dew came down without waiting or forcing Hanif down. Dew believes, Hanif will follow in his footsteps.

The dews walk towards the entrance of the cemetery area. Seemed a deserted burial area, there were only a few people on pilgrimage. Dew stopped his steps right in front of the funeral door. Dew says a prayer, closing your eyes. At first glance, Dew wiped his tears. Dew stepped with trembling legs. The burial ground that never could. Both of his legs felt weak, as if there was no energy stepping on the burial ground. The land where the mother slept forever. There was no pain in his heart. When he remembered himself born with the death of his mother.

"Bismillahirrohmanirrohim!" said Dewun lirih, then stepped into the public cemetery. Dew walked without looking at Hanif. He continued to walk towards the tomb of his beloved mother.

"Why did he bring me here?" geturu Hanif, while following the Dew steps. Hanif was curious about the secret that seemed to be stored in this cemetery.

"Mom, assalammualaikum!" the Inner Dew, right next to the mama's grave.

Dew sits crouched right next to the tomb. With a bow Dew said a prayer. The dew of the khusyuk, not one bit of the Dew was disturbed by the arrival of Hanif. Hanif stood in front of the Dew. Hanif read the name written on Nisan. Hanif was surprised to see the name he read. Adijaya's name is the same as his last. Hanif never knew Adijaya's name, other than him and Dehangga.

"This is my mother's grave. The second daughter of the Adijaya family. The younger brother of Iman. Master Arya Maulana's first wife!" said Dewun, just after he saw Hanif astonished by the name written on Nisan. Hanif's shock was clearly visible on his face. Dew was silent staring at the nanar tomb of Almaira Adijaya. The mother who gave birth to him, without being able to raise him.

"I brought you here on purpose. So that you may know the reason behind my status as the daughter of Iman. The man you hate, just for raising and thinking of me as his real daughter. Even for the sake of this orphan, he forgot his happiness!"

Dew sits right next to Nisan Almaira. His hand rubbed the name written on Nisan. Almaira Adijaya, the most precious woman in the life of Iman Ayyun Khummani. Dew lowered his head in silence, Hanif stared in disbelief. A woman who was so hard, now looked weak and fragile. Hanif did not expect, there is such pain in the life of a Dew Khafifah Fauziah.

"I am a child born an orphan, the day I was born. The mother who gave birth to me died while giving birth to me. I was an orphan long before I was born. I had a father, but I never knew or felt the warmth of his embrace. Your life is so much better than mine, your parents are both alive. They are always by your side. Your eyes can still see them. Both hands can hold their hands. Both ears can hear their voices. A pleasure I will never have for the rest of my life. So, what is the reason for your hatred of me?" said Dew softly, Hanif bowed speechless. There was guilt, hearing stories that never existed in his shadow.

"Hanif, Abah Iman was a very good father. He's a great man who sacrificed his happiness, for my sake an abandoned child. If it was for my sake, he could sacrifice everything. Especially you who's her real son. It's just that his love for you is different, instead you interpret it differently!"

"He only cares about you!"

"You're wrong Hanif, he loves you very much. Abah never ignored your existence. His hard work all this time, it's all just for you. Abah Iman never wants to see you lack. He wants what's best for you, but in fact his sweat droplets have to be paid for with his tears!"

"Lying, all your words are nothing more than self-defense. You want to defend him, a man who obviously never thought I existed. Let alone love me, happy will my presence not be. He's the man who gave me birth, but never raised me!" hanif said loudly, Dew shook his head weakly. Dew disagrees with Hanif's words. He felt Hanif's wounds were nothing more than a misunderstanding.

"You misunderstood me, you're not that bad. He loves you with sincerity. He raised you with his sweat drops!"

"You're delirious, the Adijaya family is already rich. Even if we don't work, we won't starve to death. Just like you were raised in luxury, without the slightest lack!" hanif said with a loud voice.

"I grew up without the property of the Adijaya family, but rather the sweat of Iman Ayyun Khumanni. A sincere father dripped his sweat on the fertile land of the mountains!" said Dew softly, Hanif stared at the Dew stick. As if he didn't believe the words Dewun.

Hanif stepped back, as the nod of Dew's head answered his doubts. Hanif felt that everything was just a lie. But the nod of Dew's head, became a landslide answer to his doubts. He was in a state of chaos, when Dew told him the truth he never expected.

"Hanif Eka Adijaya, I didn't just lose both my parents since childhood. Yet I lost the warm affection of a father in my infancy. I have to learn to understand, if you're busy in the fields. I tried to hold back my tears when I fell. Because your hand only holds the hoe and no longer able to carry me. I had to be independent, when trouble came to greet me. For there is no shoulder, for me to lean on at all times. But behind all my loneliness, there is one belief in my life. If everything you do, you educate me and love me. The same way he did to you, even though you interpreted it differently!"

Dew stands near Hanif, both standing side by side right next to the tomb of Almaira Adijaya. The dew patted Hanif's shoulder gently. Asking Hanif to look around. Hanif followed Dew's direction, although Hanif did not understand Dewun's intent. He's following Dew's request.

"Hanif, there's nothing more special between me and you. Abah loves us with the same portions, but in different ways and unequal responses. Unlike those kids, your life is much luckier. Look at those who spent their childhoods on the land of this tomb. When they're their age, I'm sure you're busy with fancy toys. While they only play with sickles and brooms. They had no other game, because their childhood was only to seek fortune by cleaning the tomb. No complaints came out of their lips. Only laughter full of happiness was strung on their innocent faces. Gratitude you never have, because your heart is full of flaws. It's not the brother who never had time for you, but you who never appreciated his hard work. It is not you who have never loved you, but you who have not seen his affection. It is not you who ignore you, but you who never honor his presence. Sometimes it's us who do it, but it's as if we're right. The arrogance that makes you never feel sincere affection. The pride that makes you feel right is never wrong. The greed that makes you always less. Introspect yourself, before judging others' faults!" said Dew, at a glance, Dew wiped his tears. Dew looked down at the mound of land where his mother was buried.

"Hanif, your regrets are useless. Kala Abah was next to Mama Almaira. Abah never complained about your hatred. She kept quiet, thinking you had the right to hate her. But trust me Hanif, you are the most broken person. If you no longer exist in this world. Your tears and regrets, will not be able to change your written destiny. Don't let you feel like I am. Missed a hug I could never feel again!" said Dewun, Hanif lowered his head in silence.

"The distance you create, you can still lose with one hug. But the distance that God creates, you can never unite. Deaths of the deepest and most painful distance. Do not let the longing you keep in your hate. Being a longing without certainty. Because endless longing is so painful!" he said, then left the cemetery. Hanif stunned staring at the nanar tomb of Almaira Adijaya. There was a sudden pain he felt.

"Have my hatred all this time!" batin Hanif worried.
