DEW PURITY

DEW PURITY
The Hospital Canteen

Since last night Rafan can't close his eyes. Although both eyes feel tired, but somehow drowsiness does not greet him? Long Rafan was in agitation, finally he decided to seek calmness in prostration. Rafan opted out of his dugout. He walked towards the mosque in the middle of the hospital. Rafan glanced at the clock in his hand. At exactly 02:30 in the morning, Rafan's breath was heard. His drowsiness never came, but the dawn immediately greeted. Rafan entered slowly into the deserted mosque. There were only a few people who came prostrating in the third of the night. Rafan decided to remain silent in the mosque, at least until the dawn of Azan reverberated.

"Doctor Rafan!" greeting Fahmi friendly, immediately Rafan looked surprised. It looks like Fahmi just came with a face wet with ablution water.

Without Rafan noticing, almost an hour and a half Rafan kept silent inside the mosque. The voice of Iandang azan dawn broke Rafan's daydream. For a moment Rafan found the calm he sought. Avoiding stories he never imagined. Rafan never wanted to know love. Not because he's afraid of falling in love or traumatizing in love. Rafan is too afraid to hurt people who love or love him.

"Om Fahmy!"

"You haven't come home!" fahmi said, Rafan shook his head weakly. Fahmi smiled looking at Rafan. Fahmi understands the meaning of Rafan's headband. But the mosque is not the right place to talk. Fahmi patted Rafan's shoulder gently.

"After dawn prayers, we go outside the hospital canteen. We can have a cup of coffee together, while waiting for your work hours to run out!" fahmi said, Rafan nodded his head in agreement.

Rafan quietly awaits the voice of iqomah, Fahmi stared proudly at Rafan. The son of a friend who is like his own son. But Abra's departure, erasing his happiness in an instant. The joy of being a father is gone. Until finally Hanna was present in the middle of her small family. Tear-wiping little princess Nur, a woman who is very dear and will be the only woman in Fahmi's heart.

"You must know the truth, Rafan. So that you understand the reason for my wife's steadfastness. Once you know the truth, you have the right to decide. At least you know who my daughter Hanna really is?" inward Fahmi, while looking towards Rafan.

After the morning prayers, Rafan and Fahmi walk together to the hospital canteen. Both decided to buy a cup of coffee. Fahmi smiles in a knot, looking at Rafan who is so much like his best friend Abra. Fahmi was in disbelief, many years ago, he always sat with Abra. Now, he sits down with Rafan Abra's little son growing up.

"Rafan, aunt Nur's request does not need you to take seriously. Don't make it your burden. I have such a great affection for Hanna. Makes her so scared of losing Hanna. Maybe he was thinking, being the daughter-in-law of his best friend Dew. It will keep Hanna near him. Unreasonable reason, even though it is based on the sincerity of a mother's heart!" fahmi said, breaking the silence between herself and Rafan.

Rafan immediately looked up, his hands were stirring coffee. Instantly stopping, even the spoon algae slipped out of his hand. Why was Rafan so surprised by Fahmi's words? Rafan felt there was a secret implied from Fahmi's words. The secret that Fahmi wanted to tell Rafan.

"What do you really want to say?" sahut Rafan lirih's. Fahmi sighed, he tried to calm his heart and organize his thoughts. Fahmi looks cautious, as if afraid of being wrong in talking.

"Rafan, om still remember the happiness of aunt Nur. Kala Dewun allows you to call Nur with the call of mother!" fahmi said softly, Rafan stared at the nanar. There is a sense of disbelief, if he ever called Nur with the call of mother. Something Rafan never really imagined.

"Mother!" rafan said to disavow Fahmi's words.

Fahmi nods slowly, remembering one year before Abra took Rafan away. Dewun allows Nur to consider Rafan like his own son. Nur's happiness that Fahmi will never forget. When her hopes of becoming a mother came true.

"Yes Rafan, you once called her mother. Until Abra finally took you far away. At that moment, Nur lost the smile on his face. At the same time, Nur lost his brother and adopted son!"

"Isn't there a Hanna, judging by age. He and I are only a year apart, maybe even our age!" rafan said, Fahmi nodded in agreement.

"Your age and Hanna are the same. You were born on different dates, but the same month and year!"

"If it's true, it means Hanna and I grew up together!" rafan said, Fahmi shook his head. React two eyeballs Rafan perfectly round. Rafan is surprised to see Fahmi's head.

"What do you mean by Fahmi?"

No more curiosity Rafan. Now all is answered already, a gesture that was accidentally shown Fahmi. Now I have found the answer. Rafan no longer wants to hear Hanna's story any further. It wasn't because he was reluctant to get to know Hanna. But the further Rafan learns the truth about Hanna. Furthermore, he will hear the grief that has been kept tightly in the Fahmi family.

"Rafan, I said all this. Just so you know my daughter Hanna. I was hoping when you agreed to marry Hanna. You already know the truth. If you refuse this match, I will not be disappointed. Even though I've told you a big secret that's kept tight in our family!"

"What happened to Auntie Nur? Why can't she get pregnant? Isn't there a pregnancy program, why don't you try to have your own offspring?" cecar Rafan, Fahmi smiles at Rafan's words. As a doctor, Rafan deserves to think like that. Fahmi realizes the way Rafan thinks from a different point of view to himself and Nur.

"Rafan, me and Aunt Nur are married almost the same age you are today. I'm not the romantic type of man or the affluent man of wealth. I used to be Abra's assistant, while Aunt Nur was Dewun's best friend. Our social status was different, I was just a treasureless kara and aunt Nur was the only daughter of a wealthy family. But love is so beautiful in our hearts. Until we finally unite in the sacred bond of marriage. Forgetting the differences between us, without thinking one should equalize. We had a marriage that complemented each other. Such a beautiful rain that would never be complete without the roar of lightning. The understanding that finally made us never question the weakness of one of us!"

"Including descendants?" rafan said softly, Fahmi nodded firmly.

"The offspring is a windfall that we can never force into its presence. Marriage is based on the desire to have children. So why is there love? Love never chooses or asks. In which heart love blossoms and is there a healthy womb in the heart of his choice. One thing that makes us never think of descendants. We try to trust each other, if this is the best of the best. Including never doing a pregnancy program!"

"Why?" sahut Rafan is confused.

"If a man is declared infertile. A woman will remain faithful beside her husband. Without a single bit of complaining will be weak husband. But can a man hear facts about his fertility? Conversely, when a woman is declared infertile. She also had to leave her husband. By reason of not being able to give offspring!"

"At last you decided to stick together, thinking you're capable of living all of this happily. Without anyone knowing, which one of you two is weak?" said Rafan, Fahmi nodded steadily.

"Sorry, if I'm presumptuous. If Hanna wasn't your daughter. Why would Aunt Nur want me to marry Hanna?" rafan doesn't understand.

"Because I want Hanna to have a family as good as yours. Hanna's not my daughter, but she's big with my love. I will not be able to see or hear him insulted just because of his identity. I'm sorry if I was selfish, asking for the best position for my daughter Hanna. But trust me, Rafan, Hanna is a good woman. While Dewun a good mother. The dream of a mother who does not want to see her daughter insulted in her in-laws' house. Wish her little daughter got as good a family as yours. I know Dew very well, she'll think of Hanna like her own daughter. But I buried that dream a few minutes ago!" sahut Nur, Rafan and Fahmi immediately turned their heads.

"I mean aunt? Hanna refused this match!" rafan said, Nur shook his head weakly.

"Then?" rafan said with a disappointed tone.

"Hanna doesn't want to interfere with your studies. He heard from some sisters. If you want to become a specialist. It would be very difficult if you were to marry Hanna. So, Rafan my little son. Forget my request, focus on pursuing your dream!" said Nur Lirih, obviously there is disappointment harbored by Nur.

"I'll ask my mom. If he agrees, I'll propose to aunty's daughter!" rafan said firmly.

"Seriously, thank God!" nur said happily.

"Rafan, don't push yourself!" Fahmi.

"Hanna, the only woman who stayed away from me and all that for my little dream. He understands me, more than anyone closest to me. I want to know her, that's all I have in my mind and heart!"
