CATS AND DOGS MEET

TURKEY, JANUARY 18, 2000

By dusk, around three in the afternoon local time, Hazal Danner and Emir Aksal had arrived at Ataturk International Airport.

The airport is the busiest and largest airport in Turkey. It was seen around a lot of people passing by at the airport. The weather is currently cloudy cloudy, the sun looks shy to dim the light. Luckily they were able to make the flight today safely, even though the weather was a little unfavorable.

They walked to the airport exit. In front of the exit, there are seen Meral Aksal and Japheth Aksal. The Emir waved to his wife and son. Meral greets them by kissing the Emir's cheek and kissing Hazal's cheek.

"Hi" Japheth said to Hazal. But the daughter brought by her father did not answer her greeting. The Emir's son snorted in annoyance.

"How are you Hazal?" meral asked with a smile and melted the atmosphere. There was no answer from the little girl.

"Hey! Are you mute? Are you deaf? My mom and I are trying to talk to you, why don't you answer us?" and Japheth was angry. It was as if he was talking to the wind.

"Already Japheth. Maybe Hazal was tired during the trip. Don't scold her. Let's get our kids home" said the Emir, who tried to break up the cat-and-dog encounter.

When he was about to enter the car, Hazal pulled Emir's hand so as not to get into the car.

"Where are my parents, Uncle? Did they not pick me up here?"

"They are waiting for you at home, Hazal," replied the Emir, crouching to equal his height to Hazal's.

Meral was about to open her voice, but she saw the Emir gesturing for her to remain silent.

Actually Meral wants to tell Hazal the truth, but she sees the current situation is not possible, she is afraid that Hazal is not ready to accept it.

The boy was too young to accept that he was now living a single day.

At about five in the afternoon, they reached the Hazal family's home in Istanbul. In front of the wall of the house is written WATERSIDE MANSION DANNER. There is a huge and magnificent house building. Building with three floors. They had to pass through the gatekeeper, walking through the front yard filled with a beautiful garden. The mansion is inhabited by three family members, ten servants and three housekeepers. The view behind the mansion overlooks the famous Bosphorus Strait Sea.

Emir Aksal pressed the house bell. The Chief Servant opened the large door of the Mansion and welcomed their arrival. Hazal ran straight to her parents' room on the second floor. He called his father and mother. But he didn't see his parents. Then Hazal ran to her room near her parents' room. The room is also empty. Then he ran to the third floor, opening every room, not seeing the figure of his father and mother. The little girl ran towards her father's study, to the kitchen, to the living room, and every corner of the Mansion. But the figure of his father and mother does not exist. Eventually he returned to the family room.

"Where are Mom and Dad?" he said to everyone in the room.

But no one answered Hazal's question. Then the little girl's gaze was fixed on Emir Aksal.

"Say my uncle, father and mother were waiting at home, but where were they? Are they playing hide-and-seek? Or are they going outside? Didn't they know I was coming home today?" whinek Hazal while swinging the Emir's hand.

The Emir had not yet answered, the voice of Japheth who was originally sitting on the sofa and immediately stood up.

"Hey, little boy! Your mother and father are no more! They're dead! They must have said that your father and mother went to Heaven, but they would never come back, they were dead! Do you understand? So don't trouble my mom and dad with that silly question of yours!"

"Japheth!" shouted the Emir with his high tone of voice.

"You!" The Emir was getting angry and was about to hit his son.

Japheth then left them all, he walked towards the backyard to enjoy the sea view there.

Hazal, who heard this, cried. Meral immediately hugged the Danner princess.

The Emir's wife took the orphan into his arms, like a real mother.

"I'm sorry, son. We don't want to make you sad, so we didn't tell you that your parents actually died. We think you're too small to understand this" explains Meral, who still hugs Hazal.

After Hazal calmed down, Emir Aksal invited his best friend's daughter to stay at the Aksal family home. He also asked his wife.

"Do you agree with my idea?"

"Yes darling. I agree with your opinion. How about we put Hazal on our family name list?" meral wants to adopt Hazal.

"That's a great idea, baby." The Emir was interested in his wife's idea.

Then Meral sat Hazal on the sofa in the living room. He crouched down while holding that little hand.

"Hazal, pack your things and start today stay with us" Meral said softly.

"Can I take pictures of my mom and dad?" hazal asked as she rubbed her wet face with her small palm.

"Can, baby. Bring as many as you want." Meral rubbed Hazal's head.

The Emir asks the butler and a servant to help Hazal with her things.
