This morning at the Aksal family home....
Hazal was in the kitchen making a cup of coffee. The water heater rang, a small puff of smoke soaring upward. Hazal poured the pot of hot coffee into his cup.
"Darkl...." The Emir's adopted daughter stopped her activities. I realized that someone else was behind him.
"Yes" Hazal answered Selina. He saw that Japheth's wife was carrying a cup and approached him.
"May I have your coffee?" selina asked as she was beside Hazal.
Hazal placed the hot pot next to Selina's hand. "You can throw it away yourself." In silence, he walked away from Selina.
"Do you know who Japheth's lover is?" selina asked suddenly, as she was pouring Hazal's coffee into her empty cup.
Hazal was silent for a few seconds, without turning her body, she answered Selina's question. "I don't know, you can ask your husband yourself."
Hazal continued her small steps. "Japheth's love is called Ha." Selina's words stopped, wanting to lure Hazal to tell her the truth. Hazal's face that turned her back to Selina looked pale and clumsy.
Does he know the truth?
Hazal's small steps stopped, as soon as she heard Selina's words. Quickly, he regained control of himself. Turned his facial expression into as calm as water.
"Ha... who? All I know is that my brother has broken off his relationship with his girlfriend, only to marry you!" hazal shouts as he turns his body towards Selina.
"Rather than you wasting your time thinking about who my sister's ex-lover is, you better think about how to get Japheth's love back!" hazal exclaimed while looking intently at his sister-in-law's face.
Selina was silent while drinking Hazal's coffee. Half a bead of his eyes, staring at the back of Hazal who had left him. His index finger went around the lip of the cup.
Sooner or later, I'll find out who that woman is....
After leaving the kitchen, Hazal steps her legs towards Nuran's room. The mother and son were tidying up the pile of their clothes that were in the rattan basket.
"Are you ready?" hazal asked, raising his head at the door. He immediately went into the room, and crouched down beside Nuran. Hazal helped them fold the clothes they had cleaned and put them in a basket.
Hazal's bead was accidentally set on a colored piece of paper in a pile of Nuran's clothes. Without asking the owner, Hazal pulled the paper. An old photo of Ted Baxter, with a youthful look on his face.
"I'm sorry I took this photo" said Hazal, who was aware of his presumptuous attitude.
"What's wrong" Nuran replied, taking a picture of her late husband from Hazal's hand. A smile was drawn from his pale lips.
They both keep each other's photos. I know you guys actually love each other. Destiny always plays on every human....
Hazal notices Nuran's attitude, who re-inserts a picture of her husband among her pile of clothes.
"Well, I'll wait for you in the front yard" said Hazal, standing up and walking out.
Hazal put on his coat when he came out into the front yard. The adopted daughter of the Aksal family was watching Japheth heat up her car.
"Where are you going?" yafet asked after the man closed the door of his sports car.
"In company of Nuran and Ali to Ted Baxter's funeral," replied Hazal who approached Japheth.
"What?" Japheth surprised. "You want to pray for his soul to go to heaven?" The man chuckled. I don't know who he laughed at. Hazal or the late Ted Baxter.
Hazal snorted annoyedly at the words of Japheth. "My revenge on him is over!"
"Well Miss Hazal Aksal, I'll take you to the cemetery, then we'll be at the Mansion" Japheth said as she led Hazal into the woman's car. Soon enough, Nuran and Ali caught up with them.
During the trip to the cemetery, the four of them just sat quietly. In each other's minds.
Hazal's car enters the cemetery. The same place where Hazal's birth parents were buried. Snow is falling everywhere. Sticking to their hair and clothes.
Nuran tidied up her black headscarf. Both of his eyes looked red. All the hatred was suddenly gone when he saw the coffin go into the burrow. The woman's cry broke and her face turned red.
"Ted.., Ted.
So did Ali, the young man for years did not feel the affection of his father. Suddenly he got the news that his father was a murderer, had to be in prison, until finally killed in the holding room.
In his heart he cursed himself, why when his father was still alive, he never visited the man in prison. He hugged his father, but it was too late. The coffin separated them forever.
Unlike her mother who can vent her grief. Ali just stood staring at the burrow that had filled the ground in silence. Without a single drop of clear liquid drenching his face.
After the funeral was over, Captain Ismail approached Hazal, "Is it true you're here too?"
"I was just accompanying the deceased's wife and children" Hazal replied.
"I salute you very much, Hazal. You're heartened to take away the man who killed your parents, and you even care about his family. Your heart is too good" praised the Captain.
Hazal smiled sweetly in return for Captain Ismail's praise. "You're too complimentary, Ishmael. Ted Baxter has already received his sentence, both in this world and in nature."
"Have you managed to find the answer to Ted Baxter's riddle?" ishmael asked, who had been looking softly at Hazal's face. Unaware by the Captain. Japheth, who was standing not far from Hazal, watched the Police Captain.
"Today I'll find the answer. Maybe you'd like to come with me?" ask Hazal. But Ishmael does not seem to have heard Hazal's words, for suddenly his phone rings and he walks away from Hazal to answer her phone call.
Japheth approached Hazal immediately. "Do you want to take her to the Mansion?" japheth asked, hearing what Hazal had said to Captain Ishmael.
"Yes, he might be able to help us" Hazal replied as he stood in front of her.
"You're forbidding me to involve outsiders, but you're alone?" yafet asked while taking off her sunglasses. Actually, he did not want to see Hazal's closeness with the Police Captain.
"I don't understand your attitude! Ismail is not an outsider, he's a cop! You and I know him!" fierce Hazal.
"Yes, I know he's a cop. But he's not a member of our family! Few people know about this, it's better!" japheth whispered in Hazal's ear.
Hazal was silent at Japheth's words. What the man said has a point. The more ears you hear, the more your mouth speaks.
Captain Ishmael returned to Hazal and Japheth. "I'm sorry I interrupted your conversation, where did you want to take me?"
"You don't have to apologize to me for that" said Hazal, who smiled as he touched the Captain's right arm.
Captain Ismail returned a smile to Hazal. Make Japheth's heart hotter.
The funeral was over, and Japheth and Hazal drove Nuran and Ali back to the Aksal family home. After taking the mother and child down, Japheth immediately drives Hazal's car to Hazal's childhood home.
"Since when did you and the police captain get along with each other?" search Yaphet.
"just now. Oh yeah, you haven't told me about Alfred's lawyer. Has he been caught?" Hazal tried to deflect the direction of Japheth's conversation.
The man snorted in annoyance, while glancing at Hazal who was beside him. He's moving Hazal's gears roughly.
"The man is dead, I don't know who killed him. I think your idol captain must know that."
Hazal laughed at Japheth's attitude. After many years, he did not see Japheth's jealousy. The last time he saw his ex-girlfriend was jealous when his schoolmate Ozcan asked him out.
Japheth snorted in annoyance while bending his face. The man ignored Hazal who was still laughing. "Basic insensitive!" yafet muttered softly while facing the window glass beside him.
Japheth parked Hazal's car in front of a large building in Istanbul's Bosphorus area. A writing with gold ink was still plastered attached to the wall of the fence. DANNER'S WATERSIDE MANSION.
Hazal opens the gate padlock of her childhood home. They walked down some stairs that led them to a park covered in heavy snow. After passing through the park, they climbed one by one stairs to get to the main door.
Hazal still holds the key to the Emir's hand, when he is seventeenth. With that key, he attempted to open the main door of the Mansion. Though a little difficult, Hazal manages to open the big door.
The sound of the open wooden door blaring inside the Mansion. The smell of the old building was smelled as soon as the door was opened. After so many years, this Mansion was closed and uninhabited.
Spider nests and dust appeared everywhere. The faded white cloth covered the entire furniture inside this Mansion.
Her childhood memories re-emerge in Hazal's mind.
*Hazal, would you like it if Dad put you on the back of Dad's neck? Yeah, I'm flying.
Catch the ball, Hazal....
You know Hazal, if you grow up... You're going to be a very beautiful girl...
I'll always be there for you, baby...
Every day I'm gonna curl your hair like a rabbit...
Dad will always be with you. The three of us will never be apart*...
Without feeling the tears were dripping down Hazal's face, as her footsteps stepped over with a silt.
"Dad....Mum...!" hazal screams suddenly while covering both ears and bowing himself.
Japheth immediately approached and hugged Hazal tightly. His burly hands gently rubbed Hazal's brown hair, "Relax. Don'tbeafraid...."
"I-I saw my little ma-sa in this house. I-I saw a-dad and i-my mother. They played with me" Hazal said, stammering as she held back her tears.
"Please your mind, I know you miss your parents so much. But we don't have much time to find your parents' secrets. Before it gets dark, we must get out of this place immediately" comforted Japheth, who was still holding Hazal in his arms.
After Hazal regained his composure, he released himself from Japheth's embrace. He wiped the liquid off his face. "Yes.you're right. I need to focus on finding the answer to that riddle."
The two of them entered room after room that was in this huge Mansion. They open every drawer and closet. Until finally, one last room that they have not entered. Erkan Danner's office.
The white painted wooden door was wide open. A black rat came out of the room greeting them. Hazal immediately jumped towards Japheth, as soon as the hairy beast ran towards him. Spontaneously, Japheth held Hazal. Make the two lips stick together.
They looked at each other for quite a while, until Hazal finally realized her current status. He immediately descended from Japheth's sling and entered the room.
"I." said Hazal clumsily in front of his ex-girlfriend.
Japheth just smiled at the behavior of the woman he loved. "Let's check this room out!" bring him.
Japheth and Hazal took apart the bookcase on the right side of the room. The smell of old and moldy books burst out as soon as the glass cabinet was opened. In this bookcase they found nothing but business and fashion books neatly lined up in the closet. The papers are brownish in color.
Hazal comes to her father's desk. Japheth opened the small drawers under the bookcase. Several stationery, an agenda book, a calendar sat in 2000, and a small note was on the table.
Hazal opens his father's agenda, every leaf he opens. His father's writings contained meeting schedules and other work schedules. He put that agenda back on.
Hazal's gaze was immediately fixed on the location of the awkward phone handle. The phone's handle didn't stick perfectly in place.
At that time, my father was contacting someone and suddenly he came out. Or did someone else enter the room? I don't think anyone has entered this mansion since my parents died.
Hazal placed the phone handle on her plane correctly. Then he took the sitting calendar, no graffiti or signs of writing there. He returned the calendar sitting on the table.
Now her bead eyes were fixed on the small note lying beside the phone plane. In the absence of sheets of notes that adhesive has begun to disappear. Blank. There was no memo or message his father had written.
His four right fingers felt something on the first sheet of the note. A visible line, invisible. "What'sthis? Looks like there's a scratch on this paper" Hazal murmured.
Immediately he picked up a pencil in the stationery box that was on the table. Hazal shaded the visible scratches on the note paper. The longer. The charades form a capital letter.
Hazal shaded a sheet of paper. The pencil slipped out of his hand and fell to the floor.
"Japheth...!" scream Hazal loudly. The man near her was surprised.
"What's wrong?" ask Japheth, who is coming to Hazal. "Is there a mouse?"
"You look at this....! You see the string on this little piece of paper...!" hazal shouted while showing the paper to Japheth.
The man picked up and read the letters that appeared in the middle of Hazal's palace. The capital letters form a name called FALLAY.
