Second Court

Entering the third month in spring, the cold air had already begun to diminish. Tulips have begun to fill every corner of the open space in Istanbul. The Dutch flower has become a beautiful tapestry throughout the park.

In addition to the tulip festival that is always held in the spring, there is a building that is currently always the center of public attention. The State Court Building.

The government building has lately always been filled by the masses. Today is the day of the court ruling for the Harun Fallay case. The mob, mostly from the family of Aaron's men, had been killed by the old fox. All this time they just kept their mouths shut, because they were just a small, helpless society.

After news of Aaron's arrest was reported throughout the mass media, the men began to act. Many of them gave their support to Hazal.

The atmosphere outside grew boisterous, as a prisoner car stopped in front of the building. The car door was opened, two police officers dropped Aaron off in a handcuffed state.

Protesters began throwing rotten eggs at Aaron. Blasphemies were thrown at the old fox. Police officers immediately led Aaron into the building.

At exactly 10:00 am local time, all court clerks and court visitors entered the room. Three of the Assembly of Judges, Prosecutor Hazal and lawyer Aaron occupy their respective positions. Aaron's lawyer looked down his head as Hazal looked at his bead.

"The Istanbul Municipal District Court hearing, which examined criminal case number 123456 on behalf of Harun Fallay on Thursday, May 7, 2020, was declared open and open to the public," said the Chief Justice who opened the trial and then tapped the hammer three times.

"Aarun Fallay's defendant was sent in!" call the protocol officer.

The two police officers entered a middle-aged man wearing a prisoner's uniform. The officer places Aaron in the sickle spot, then opens his handcuffs. Aaron stood in his place while smiling at the Chief Judge.

"Defend Aaron Fallay, are you ready for trial today?" ask the Chief Judge.

"Defendant, would you like to present a defense to defendant Harun Fallay or refute any indictment submitted by the Prosecutor to the defendant?" ask the Chief Justice to Aaron's lawyer who is sitting in front of the judge's left.

"Nothing, Your Majesty," replied the defender, bowing his head. Today the man is like a buffalo that fits his nose.

Aaron had wondered in him what was with his defense at the moment.

The Chief Judge immediately read out his verdict, the atmosphere in the room became tense. The protocol officer asked the entire audience to be calm so that everyone could hear every word of the Chief Justice.

"The Istanbul Municipal District Court, which adjudicates criminal cases with ordinary events at the first-degree trial, ruled as follows in the case of the accused. Name's Aaron Fallay. Gender Male. Nationality of Turkey." The Chief Judge's voice sounded slightly trembling.

"Based on existing evidence and testimony from witnesses presented at the trial. Accused Harun Fallay has been found guilty of premeditated murder of Erkan Danner, Ayla Danner and Alfred. Guilty of the accidental murder of Kenan Fallay" the judge said, removing his glasses and rubbing his face.

"The Istanbul City District Court on Thursday, May 7, 2020, ruled that defendant Harun Fallay was sentenced to Life Imprisonment!" exclaimed the Chief Judge with both of his hands shaking.

Before the Chief Judge tapped his hammer to pass Aaron's sentence and before the room grew boisterous, Attorney Hazal immediately opened his voice.

"Doubt, Your Majesty!"

Everyone fell silent as soon as they heard Hazal's screams, and so did Aaron, who immediately set his sights on the woman he had always despised. He also wanted to object because he did not want to end up in prison. He wants to be free.

The Chief Judge looked at Attorney Hazal who was standing behind his desk. The judge's eye bead was fixed on the black pen that was being held by the female prosecutor. What the hell is it?

Time goes back to the incident where Aaron's lawyer has successfully sold ten percent of Aaron's shares in the stock market. After the sale of shares was completed online, Aaron's lawyer took the money to the office of the Chief Justice as ordered by his client. Neither Aaron nor his lawyer knew who bought the shares.

"Oh you. Aaron Fallay's defender! What the hell are you here for?" ask the Chief Justice when Aaron's lawyer enters his room.

"There is something I want to say, Your Majesty," replied the lawyer who was already sitting in front of the Judge.

"Yes. Say."

"I know, right now you need a fee for your child's college education abroad. Maybe I can offer a solution for you," said the lawyer, holding a black tenteng bag.

"I'm sorry, I don't know what you mean" the Chief Judge said, squinting his eyes at the lawyer.

Actually the bespectacled man knew the intent of Aaron's defenders. But he wanted the lawyer to speak frankly to him.

Aaron's lawyer placed the tenteng bag on the table in front of him. The man opened the contents and showed the contents in the bag.

The judge swallowed his salivary as soon as he saw a large number of banknotes. The smell of money had completely pervaded his mind.

Aaron's defense saw the reaction given by the Judge. He knew the man before him was being tempted by his offer.

"Is that the reward?" ask the Chief Judge who took off his glasses.

The Aaron's defense immediately stood up, "This bag and its contents will be yours." A smile full of deceit that was strewn across the man's lips.

"What do you want?" The Chief Judge held his body up on the sofa.

"Free my client, defendant Aaron Fallay of all charges!" exclaim the lawyer firmly.

The Chief Justice's face was shocked to hear the words of Aaron's defense. It was far from his conscience.

"That's impossible! All evidence and witnesses incriminate Aaron's position!" exclaimed the Judge while standing and shaking his waist.

"You can do that, Your Majesty. Aren't you interested in the contents of this bag? Your ten-year salary won't be enough to raise this much money!" Back the lawyer took a banknote and fanned the banknote.

I know you'd want it. When else, you'll be rich.

The Chief Judge looked at the lawyer's face. He rubbed his chin over and over again.

"Alright," said the Chief Justice who was welcomed by Aaron's lawyer.

"This is for you, don't forget your duty!" exclaimed the man who then left the Chief Judge's room.

The lawyer smiled broadly as he walked down the corridor of the Justice Building. He reached into his pocket and took out two banknotes from there.

The next day, a courier sent a CD to Chief Justice and Aaron's lawyer.

The two men turned the CD on in different places. Their beads popped their eyes and their earlobes turned red. It was as if their hearts had stopped beating for a split second.

A video of the bribery was clearly displayed on their television screen. After making sure they had obtained the CD, Hazal went to the two law enforcement officers at different times. Now that their ace is in Hazal's hands, their fate and career depend on the decision they will take in the face of Aaron's case.

Now in the courtroom, all eyes are on the Assembly of Judges. Two members of the Judge agreed to Hazal's objection, they were waiting for a vote from the Chief Justice. The bespectacled man looked at Aaron who was standing before him.

Where is your conscience, Your Majesty? What if your daughter is in my current position?

Hazal's words rang in the Presiding Judge's ear as the prosecutor met her after she finished watching a video of her bribery scandal.

"The objection is accepted" said the Chief Justice softly as he removed his glasses. It took me a few minutes to answer Hazal's request.

"I appeal the case, Your Majesty!" shouts Hazal loudly.

Aaron was surprised to hear Hazal say, "Is there still a lack of life imprisonment?" shouted Aaron.

There was a loud noise inside and outside the courtroom, everyone protesting the decision of the Assembly of Judges.

"Requeal request, accepted! Please meet at the High Court!" exclaimed the Chief Judge while knocking his hammer three times.

The Assembly of Judges invites Hazal to take Aaron's case to a higher court.

"K*parat you! I'll never let you go!" aaron shouted as he got down from his sick place and walked past Hazal.

"Don't you ever let me go?" look at Hazal as sharp as a razor. The cold aura emanating from his face and voice turned around intimidating Aaron.

Two police officers immediately led Aaron back to the detention car.
