The Journey of the Four Sekawan - First Negotiations

After a fight at David's house, Japheth sat on the sofa and compressed the bruises on his face. He grinned slightly as the small towel containing the ice cubes stuck to his bruised face. Japheth limped towards the sink near the bathroom. He saw his face filled with a purplish red hue in a mirror above the sink. Lee's punch had eliminated nearly half his good looks. But this man was still lucky, only his face was battered and around the shin that was on his leg. Unlike Lee who had injuries on his face and some parts of his body.

"Is it painful, baby?" seductive David with a female voice. He approached Japheth and saw his friend compressing a wound on his face. Japheth only glimpsed the figure of David from the mirror in front of him.

"Crazy. The Japanese almost made all your good looks disappear" David sneered with a crisp laugh.

"Fuck you !! Knowing that your friend was in pain, you laughed at me" said Japheth, who threw a small towel over David's face. The fat man only smiled wryly feeling the cold towel clinging to his face.

"If you bring Hazal here, he'll take care of you, of course" said Jason, who saw how messed up Japheth was. Jason and David just laughed behind Japheth's back.

"At least the Japanese man is worse than me, because I've beaten him all out" said Japheth, who wanted to show that he was better than Lee.

"You forgot? There's a beautiful nurse who's going to caress and take care of Lee. While you? Oh No... !!! Don't ask me to take care of you, baby." David said with a bitter laugh.

"Continue laughing... I also don't want to be taken care of by your rough hands !!!" japheth's circus responded to the babbling of his friends.

"Then what are we going to do next?" jason asked who folded his hands in front of his chest. His voice and eyes suddenly became serious.

Japheth turned his body towards them and said firmly, "I stick to my stance. I'm not gonna let him take that girl with us. If you. and you. prefer Lee and the girl. Okay... !!! We're done here !"

The two friends were silent and looked at each other in confusion. Then Japheth walked away from his two friends and climbed some stairs to go upstairs with a look of annoyance that there was no answer from Jason and David. "What's this thing called being loyal, man, huh?"

After Japheth leaves his two friends in the living room, Jason and David think of a way for the two friends to make peace. Divisions will lead them to deepening hostility, and their goal of helping to find the killer of Hazal's parents will be further from the bright spot.

"We have to talk" said Jason, who began the conversation after a few minutes of silence.

"Not us, but them" said David, pointing up and toward the exit. The two are Japheth and Lee.

"We started this together, so we have to end it together. Do you agree with my opinion?" jason asked, extending his hand to David.

Plaakkp..... I heard David punch Jason in the palm, "I agree with you, let's get this whole mess over with."

Jason whispered his plan to David. The American man with the lush posture listened seriously to every word of his friend. "I'll leave that Turkish guy to you, if you can't handle it, call the girl. I'm sure Hazal is his weakness. But if you do that, just change your name to Desi" said Jason, who patted David on the shoulder with a loud laugh.

"Braudless you !! You insulted the name my mother's father gave me !! Let's see who works. You think it's easy to change Lee's stance? The Japanese man is also difficult to conquer, maybe he will bring out his ninja style," said David who reminded Jason.

"If I use muscle strength, I admit. But I'm going to mess up his heart, at least he still has a weakness, and that girl is his weakness at the moment" Jason said with a serious face.

"Go away... Call me next" said David, who threw one of his car keys at Jason.

Jason pulled out one of the cars in the garage and drove it at low speed, after the car had run a few meters, he contacted Lee with his phone. After Lee sends the location of Carina's house, Jason immediately drives his car to Carina's house by following the instructions from the GPS on his phone. On the way, Jason was still thinking about the possibilities that would happen and how he persuaded Lee.

The sound of the house bell rang, Carina who had just placed a wooden box under Max's bed, immediately walked out towards the front door, but Lee prevented her, "Let me alone," said Lee who preceded Carina to open the front door. He knew who the guests were. Carina follows Lee's instructions, and follows Lee from behind.

"You alone?" ask and greet Lee who saw Jason come alone.

"Who do you think will come?" ask Jason who replied to Lee's question with a question as well. Lee snorted annoyedly at Jason's question.

Lee introduces Carina to Jason. Carina's hand trembled as she reached out her hand to greet Jason's introductory greeting. But the guess was wrong, Jason instead greeted him with a friendly smile. This time Jason wants to play pretty to face Lee.

"What are you here for?" lee asked Jason who was sitting in front of him.

"I want to talk to you" replied Jason, who stared at Carina's bead. Hearing Jason's words and attitude, Carina understood that they wanted to speak with four eyes, the girl was self-conscious and was about to enter her room.

"Stay here !!" prevent Lee from holding Carina's hand. The girl only lowered her face when Jason's face suddenly turned cold.

"He... ?" jason asked who objected if Carina overheard their conversation.

"If you feel any objection to Carina hearing our conversation, go !!! There is nothing to talk about !! He knows everything" Lee said loudly.

"What's? You... You tell me everything? What if he betrays you and sides with his stepfather ?" jason asked, surprised to hear Lee's statement. Jason never thought about why Lee believed in the girl so much, checkmate for him. The plan he had made to persuade Lee was shattered instantly.

"Tell Japheth, if he wants information about Max Walden, tell him to come !!!" said Lee who looked at Jason's face sharply. Lee was very confident, he could urge Japheth to comply with his wishes, and now the victory flag was on his side.

"I don't want to talk or argue with you anymore. You can get out of this house now !!" peek at Lee who immediately stood up and was about to go inside.

"Y...!!" call Jason, but the person he called just disappeared. There was only Carina standing in the corner of the room. Jason just stared at the cynical girl and passed away just like that.

After Jason's departure, Carina goes into the house to meet Lee. He saw that the man was laying down on his bed with his eyes looking at the ceiling of his room. Carina touched Lee's arm slowly, and the man turned to Carina.

"Is Jason gone?" ask Lee to Carina.

"Yes." answered Carina who was sitting on the edge of her bed. Lee got up from his sleeping position and sat on the bed.

"Hurry and pack your things !!" lee's orders startled Carina.

"You mean ? We're leaving tonight? Don't you want to see Japheth?" ask the confused Carina.

"Just do what I tell you, we don't know when your stepfather will come" Lee said. Actually Lee knew when Max would come home, based on his calculations after reading Max's message sent to Carina's phone, should Max be home tomorrow after tomorrow. But all the possibilities can happen. Living in Carina's house is like keeping a time bomb that can explode at any time. Lee stood up and helped Carina to pack her things.

When she was about to put Lee's clothes in the bag, Carina's hand held Lee's hand. The girl shook her head, "Let me alone," The gazes of the two men's eyes met under the shining light of the lamp in the room. The faces of both are clearly visible.

"*Lee, why are you staring at me like that? Please don't make me fly high again because of this attitude of yours."

"Carina, do you still hate me*?"

There was no conversation between the two, Lee just stood up to see Carina busy putting one by one her clothes in. After they packed up the items they were about to bring, Lee stuffed them into the trunk of the car.

"Do you mind if I stay here?" ask Lee to Carina.

"Stay here, that way I can take care of your wounds" replied Carina who closed the trunk door and invited Lee to re-enter her house.

It was night time, when Jason went home to David. He came home empty-handed without success. Jason was angry with himself, hit repeatedly by the steering wheel in front of him, while condemning how stupid he was to face Lee. Now the Japanese man already has an ace that he can use to force his will. "What did Carina give Lee, so sure she was?"

While the circumstances at the house of David, not much different from the conditions in the house Carina. The American man with a high sense of humor was trying to advise Japheth like a grandmother who was advising her grandson. But David's efforts are the same as Jason's, they're both like talking to a wall made of very hard concrete. David has lost his mind, he tries to contact Hazal, but suddenly the sound of the car Jason was driving into the house. David immediately went down the stairs to go downstairs.

"How's it?" ask David who saw Jason come out of the garage next to his house. Lee just shook his head.

"Where is Japheth?" jason asked who went inside and was followed by David.

"I've given up, he told me to get out of his room, maybe he's asleep by now" replied David who felt there was no hope of reconciling the two friends.

"Free. I ask for your help, '" said Jason, who patted David's belly.

"Hey. Don't blame me, you didn't make it either. I'll call Hazal" said David, who was about to pull out his phone.

"Just keep your cell phone, aren't you ashamed..Have a girl help you solve a man's problem?" Jason slapped David's face hard.

"Now what should we do?" ask David who doesn't know what else to do.

"I will hand this hot ball to Japheth, whatever he will kick in which direction. Let's see it tomorrow morning." Jason's words made David's head more dizzy. Jason patted David on the chest and stepped into his room.

The next day....

Japheth, Jason and David were sitting at the dinner table enjoying their breakfast. Jason recounted his meeting with Lee at Carina's house last night. The man also conveyed Lee's message, that if Japheth wanted to get information about Max Walden, he should see Lee immediately. Japheth simply responded to Jason with a cold smile.

"Aren't you angry about Lee's outrageous attitude?" asked Jason who seemed to not believe the reaction of Japheth who was just silent.

"Why are you quiet? If you want to go see him, I'll come with you" David said.

But Japheth only stared intently at the thing in front of him. The eagle's eyes seemed to be looking for a gap to grip its prey.
