Chapter 65: Attacks from the Ground

Edrick again helps other soldiers shoot behind the iron wall, keeping the control room from being attacked by monsters. This time, he stood guard on the right side with Farhan and Irawan.

“Farhan, are you still holding down Shield?” ask Edrick to convince.

“I'm still strong, Chairman,” he replied while filling ammunition, “You rest easy.”

After it was confirmed that the two soldiers were still able to guard the control room on the right, Edrick connected the communication to the soldier who served from afar.

“Sadin, how are you there? You've arrived at Room C?”

“I...” Sounded Sadin's breath rather irregular. “…. Little moored. But, I can still handle it?”

“You sure?” ask Edrick worriedly.

“I'm sure. You just wait for the access command from the generator in the rooms that have not been activated.”

The call was unilaterally interrupted. I don't know what happened to Sadin. It seemed like the young soldier was starting to get overwhelmed from being alone trying to activate two generators at once. Wanting to send one more soldier from this control room, but for free, the road is still crowded by an increasing group of monsters.

“Stay focus protect control room!”

“Siap, Chairman!”

...~*~*~*~...

Since Astan and Tenma were able to work together well to power the Booth E generator and fire on some monsters blocking them towards Room D, both of them did not feel hindered. Even a little more they reached Room D.

“That Room D!” point Astan in front of them.

“This time, I will activate the generator. You're focused on holding back their invasion,” suggested Tenma.

“Oke, Man.”

The two entered Room D after climbing the stairs to the door. Astan stood by the door, shooting at every monster that approached, while Tenma moved towards the generator engine in the middle of the booth. When trying to pull out the tube, again there is a traffic jam.

“Again?” tenma said astonished. “It looks like, all generators here are damaged due to overtime not being used.”

Hurry Tenma opened the door of the generator engine, began to repair the broken components.

Luckily all the soldiers of their team were on average able to repair the components of the machine like this, so they did not find it difficult at all when faced with this task.

Except in the monster raid section, that was the most hindering.

A few minutes Astan shot the approaching monsters on the left and right side alternately.

“Already, Tenma?!” shouts Astan impatiently.

“No need to insist that, lah,” response Tenma flat.

“Tenma, beware!”

“Ap—.”

Tenma's words were cut off as Astan leaped past his body, stepping on the figure of Barkata who was about to bite Tenma from behind.

Astan's filling up his ammo. “Thank you later, I'll keep holding them.” Then, he turned to the next door where Barkata had entered.

“Hilih~ Ge’er highly.” Tenma who was aware of Astan's reckless actions muttered, “Barbar ‘times this guy. Play lompatin person aja.”

After finishing repairing the engine components, Tenma stood up, pulled the glass tube from inside the generator, put the Crystal Core into the tube, and then put it back into the generator machine.

Unfortunately, something went wrong with the engine. The Crystal Core seemed to be completely not channeling energy throughout the generator properly, so its energy was retained within the tube.

If left like that, the generator will explode.

“What is this...?” tenma said astonished when he saw the generator's reaction was unnatural.

“Why?” tanya Astan was still shooting some monsters near the door.

“As it is, the machine is still in trouble. Though, I have fixed it correctly.”

“You sure?”

“Very sure.”

“Sepele, mah...”.

Astan approached the generator engine, kicked it just like that. That's right, the machine was finally able to channel the Crystal Core energy throughout the generator evenly as before.

Behind the helmet, Tenma gaped in disbelief. Apparently, this kind of machine can be stabilized just by kicking it?

Gee whiz….

“My friend is an engine technician, often experience things like this when repairing machines. I learned a lot from him,” Astan explained briefly. “Ya, already. We try to follow Sadin. Earlier, the Vice Chairman had said that he had an obstacle to go to Room C.”

As Astan returned to the cubicle door, shooting at the monsters, Tenma was still standing dumbly on the spot. He still doesn't believe that the machine can improve by being kicked.

“It's logical no, anyway? Or just Dewi Fortuna who just happened to be on the side of Astan?” Tenma shook her hands, breaking her confusion. “Ah, stop. Right said Astan. Mending focus help Sadin.”

Then, Tenma picked a tuk following Astan near the exit.

Before they decide to proceed to Room C, following Sadin while shooting at the monsters, Astan contacts Edrick to grant the D-chamber generator access to the Core Ship's engine.

“Chairman, we have activated the D Room generator. Provide energy access to Ship Core.”

“Alright, Astan.”

In the control room, Edrick re-entered some code, then pulled another lever connected to nearby Room D.

[Access: Accepted]

[Generator System D: Active]

[Capital Core part D: Active]

[Starting the Optimization Process]

Now, the Ship Core machine is moving more stable. The whirring sound of the engine is increasingly hardened, indicating that the engine movement is much more optimal to be distributed throughout the ship. Now, there's a C-room generator that's still not activated.

….

Two drones flew on the right and left side of the lane, shooting several monsters using the laser shooter feature, aiding Tenma, Astan, and Sadin's movement towards Room C. Zered and Wirma also helped from afar using the Sniper Rifle. But when Zered takes aim at one of the monsters, his rifle's scope happens to find a strange object twitching at the orange base of the Ship's Core.

“Jeez, what creature is it?” muttered Zered astonished.

“What's up, Zered?” wirma asked realizing her partner's astonishment.

“A-I found something inside the bottom of the Core Ship. Something strange is twitching there.”

“Any?”

Wirma tried to look through the rifle's scope. His eyes widened, surprised to find there was an object resembling tentacles twitching within the Core of the Ship. Likely, the object is one type of creature that terrorizes the entire ship.

The plane began to approach towards Room C.

“Wire,” hiss Wirma.

He was at a loss as to what to do to prevent the creature from approaching Room C. Impossible to shoot into the Core of the Ship, dangerous if it hits the engine. Plus, the tentacles are large enough, not necessarily able to shoot tuk.

How strange. Their system did not detect anything from the creature at all. Wirma had to report the matter to the chairman.

“Chairman, we have another problem! There was a large-sized strange creature hiding at the base of the Core Ship. He moved slowly towards Room C!” wirma said through helmet communication.

“Weird creatures? Room C?”

Edrick re-entered the control room after briefly helping other soldiers guard the control room. Through a row of watch glass, he faintly saw a strange tantacle moving slowly towards Room C.

It's grim! All three of his soldiers were currently going towards Room C.

Edrick started talking to the three through helmet communication, “Astan, Sadin, Tenma! Something is approaching towards Bilik—.”

Edrick's speech was stifled, shocked at the spot of seeing the huge tentacles poking out from the bottom of the Core Ship. Even more surprising, the tentacle grabbed the entire C-chamber, pulling it down until it shattered.

Now, the chief was at a loss as to what to say. All three of his soldiers were around there, and Room C was completely destroyed. If one generator is not activated, then the Ship Core energy cannot be stable sharing its energy throughout the ship.
