AutoTerra: Operating Systems

AutoTerra: Operating Systems
Chapter 33: Friendship between Neighbors (Arc 1, Hunters : End)

“I-ini...what..?” ask Ranka wonder.

Instant twisting eyeball. “One portal. Grim found it behind the forest bushes. It is still unclear what kind of portal this is, but it is definitely not a Dungeon portal because the size is too small.”

“The system is difficult to detect by AutoTerra System, but the effect is readable. All the effects given are effects to improve and perfect the ability and strength of the enemy. Therefore, we have difficulty completing missions even though this mission is Level D. It was like completing a Level C and B mission with our current rank because of this portal.”

“So, this small portal is able to increase the strength and ability of the enemy?” tessa asks.

“We have never received a report like this before from another hunter.” Then Ranka turned to Tessa. “You yourself ever?”

Tessa shook her head with a thoughtful facial expression. He was completely confused by this report. The Guilds had not informed him of this matter at all. Is it possible that the portal has just appeared this time?

“So, you guys don't know?” either Astan removed the panel. “Nothing. Just tell me that, anyway. We just want this matter to be reported to the Guild so that it can be followed up. Let it also give a warning to other hunters if the one like this can interfere with hunting activities.”

Tessa nodded. “OK, okay. I'll definitely pass it to the Chairman or Vice Chairman. But earlier, could you transfer the information you got about that portal to our database?”

“Sure.”

Once you have finished transferring the data and nothing else needs to be taken care of. Astan, Grim, and Arni go away from the reception desk.

After the three of them died, Tessa seemed to carefully pay attention to the summary of information and pictures of the mysterious portal. It was true, that portal was not a Dungeon portal as usual. Too small for a group of people to enter, even the same size as a rodent nest hole.

“Tessa, are you okay?” ask Ranka worried.

Ranka is worried about Tessa. For days, Tessa's work became increasingly crowded. Several times also the woman tried to be patient and polite when dealing with hunters with a variety of attitudes. Tessa seems to rarely rest, even Ranka can see clearly her eye bags.

Sontak Tessa was a bit surprised when asked by Ranka. “A-I'm fine. I was just wondering what kind of portal this is. During my time working in the Guild, I had never received a report of the appearance of a portal like this. Do you think other Guilds have ever found this portal?”

Ranka thought. “If large Guilds seemed to have found this portal. Ah, stop..” Ranka shook her hands. “Don't think about it too much. Mending you go back to the cabin and rest first, Tes. It's curfew tonight. This matter will be reported to the Chairman or Vice tomorrow. Your eyes are like having hit a thug.”

Due to Ranka's comment, Tessa hurriedly looked at the reflection of her face on the small mirror that she took out of the skirt pocket. It was true, his eyes looked so tired and vaguely looked a pair of dark-colored circles.

“Ya already, Tests. I'll get ready to go back to the cabin first. You must come back soon too. Or, want to go home with?” tawar Ranka is worried.

Tessa shook her head slowly. “You first. I'll be following.”

Ranka only nodded lethargicly in return and walked into the room behind the reception desk.

Again Ranka failed PDKT with Tessa. Already several times Ranka invited the woman to just go home together to the cabin, eat together, or go for a walk together, but still the results were rejected.

When he saw Ranka running lethargic towards the locker room, one of the ship's staff colleagues who was cleaning while accompanied by a small cleaning robot whistled to Ranka. The young man looked at him with a flat look.

“What?” sahut Ranka bete's.

The staff whispered from afar, “Rejected, yes?”

“Ish! This kid wants me to grab a locker drawer, yak?!”

“Ehehehe.

The staff hurriedly ran away giggling before Ranka took a swing to beat him up. The little robot who does not know anything can only run away after his partner.

“Basic, very demen see the tormented temen,” said Ranka Sfor while ruffling her black hair, then into the locker room.

...~*~*~*~...

Just out of the lobby, Astan, Grim, and Arni both walked through the corridor of the spacecraft. At this hour, it looks quite a lot of ship occupants passing by because it happens to be the return to work hours, many people need to return to their respective cabins to rest and prepare for work the next day.

“So, you went to the Medical Deck first for treatment, Bang?” arni asked, still walking with the two men who were much taller than her.

Astan rubs his bare chest. “Yes, how else? I must have checked the wounds on my body before the effect of the healing pill was reduced.”

“Emang why did you get hurt? Can't you still activate Shield?”

The question of Grim suddenly made Astan pensive. He remembered why he failed to focus. When Astan lost focus, his system also suddenly went completely dead, inactive. Evidently when the system belongs to Arni and Grim can still give a warning, the system does not respond at all.

Plus, Grim tells him that his AutoTerra System detected that Astan's statistical data was suddenly unstable after he lost the Assault Rifle.

Actually, what happened to him?

“Back...”.

And why did those groans start to disturb his mind?

“Ah, stop. Maybe because I was getting tired. You know, I was acting as bait earlier. There are so many monsters that I face, so I get tired quickly,” said Astan relaxed.

It makes sense the reason Astan gave. But Grim was sure, there was something even more wrong with Astan.

Yeah, maybe right now Astan doesn't want a story. Moreover, Grim was new to Astan, Grim should not take care of other people's affairs.

And about Arni, Grim thinks she still doesn't know anything about the world of hunting. Can be seen from the look on Arni's face that easily believes the words of Astan. He was still very new as a hunter, so naturally.

“Ya already, then. You just rest after treatment to the Medical Deck,” said Arni attention, “Soal hunt together, anytime we do.”

“Come on, you don't have to worry about me so.”

“You are…! I thought of you as my own brother, you know?! Of course I'm worried.”

“OK, okay. Thanks for your attention, sweetie. I need to get to the Medical Deck. You also have to go home to the cabin soon, your brother will be more worried.” Then Astan turned to Grim. “Where are you going now?”

“Where are your cabins, Mas?” tanya Arni accompanied by a faint smile.

Grim almost misbehaved because of that smile, Arni was too sweet in his sight.

“E-anu...” Grim stroked the back of his head, a little groggy. “On Line 5, near cafeteria.”

“Hah? Line 5?”

Grim and Arni stared at Astan's heras as she sounded almost screaming in surprise.

Noticing Astan's shock, Arni answered cheerfully, “Oh! How fortuitous…! Bang Astan also stayed in the cabin of Line 5.”

“O-oh, really?” grim asked in surprise.

“What is your cabin number?”

“117.”

“Woah…! Got Bang Instant 115. Means you're neighbors, dong.”

“Wah…. Ja. Hehe...” Grim laughed awkwardly. “Kok I just realized, huh? You see, the cabin in the order of numbers is so rare—.”

Grim's words immediately came to a halt when it was felt that there were gripping auras around Astan, his gaze causing a sharp glint, similar to the game Boss who was about to bring out the Ultimate ability to finish off the hero.

“E-eh…. I'll go back, bye. I just remembered having to fix a clogged toilet. It's good to be in a squad with you. Bye!!!”

Grim hurriedly rushed to the turn of the corridor leaving the two of them, even he had hit one of the cleaning robots that passed by.

Seeing Grim's terrified reaction, Arni looked at Astan while shaking her waist.

“What?” ask Astan briefly when stared at so.

“You scared him, Bang.”

“What's wrong? People said he was again in a hurry.”

“Ck, ck, ck Arni clucked while shaking her head. “If you've returned to the cabin, greet him. Love him something ‘kek, so he can establish a cord between good neighbors.”

After giving that advice, Arni immediately went through the turn of the corridor, ahead of Astan who was putting up a face to face.

“You can do something so that you can establish a friendship rope, he said,” cibir Astan while crossing.

...~*~*~*~...

The clock is getting late on the Space Ship Thornic 035. The corridor with the numbered cabin rows on Line 5 is also currently quiet, no one else is passing by.

In front of cabin door number 117, there was the sound of the doorbell ringing as often as possible blindly.

“Iya, briefly!”

The occupant who is currently wearing a pink nightgown suit with a cute cat motif immediately opened the door. But strangely, there was no one to see at his doorstep, even along the corridor of the cabin.

“Hmm…. Bizarrely. There's nobody outside. Who the hell is playing the buzzer? Eh?”

Just now Grim was about to go back in and close the door, but his intention was stifled when he found a brightly colored box.

“Who is this box?”

Grim also found an electric card with the sender's message.

“Tanda, ‘From Astan, compatriots’, he said. Oho! Chief Astan, apparently. Indeed he wants to say what from in this box.”

Grim opened the box. Unexpectedly from inside the box came out a boxing glove darted violently using a per towards Grim's face. As a result, Grim's face managed to get punched, his glasses broke, and at the same time the object was also destroyed because the Martial/Shield Bug belonging to Grim remained active.

Of course Astan sent the box intending to prank Grim.

“Ouch! Hahaha..” Grim laughed while rubbing his nose. “Means to establish relations between neighbors, yes..?”

Good thing Grim's son baek….
