AutoTerra: Operating Systems

AutoTerra: Operating Systems
Chapter 45: Not Healthy

“Happy—Anu.. by morning, Commander Mavin and Deputy Commander Harnan.”

The existence of this soldier was beyond the estimation of the two. Mavin and Harnan are confused as to what reason to give her. If it is discovered by the military headquarters, it can be serious.

A lie? A bribe? Or just a coma?

No, no…. That last idea is too risky.

The soldier accidentally saw that there were legs and body parts of someone standing behind them. He became curious, who was the person who was with these two important figures.

“Sorry if I am presumptuous, but the one behind it sia—.”

Harnan took out a sack from his system storage.

“E— Hm!”

Not caring about Astan's blow, Harnan immediately put Astan into a sack, then led him to escape to the end of the corridor, where the empty room was located.

The soldier blinked several times, staring at the strange behavior of the deputy commander. Even Mavin was stunned to see it. It's not usual for Harnan to behave like that when he's panicking.

And the grace of bringing a human into a sack alive? Long time talented also Harnan became a psychopath.

Not wanting to waste ‘holy service’ vice, Mavin tried to find an excuse.

“Eee…. That was the mannequin for the advance uniform of the previous Orbit Army general. Let it be remembered...” Mavin directly switched the topic. “What are you doing in the Industrial Sector?”

“Oh, I'm on patrol duty.”

Mavin lowered his head, briefly touching his own eel. Why did he forget about this?!

Every day and every time, there would be scattered many Bronze to Silver Rank soldiers to patrol alternately throughout the Ribelo-II Group Headquarters sector, no exception. Even the Industrial Sector that is minimal in military existence will still have soldiers patrolling.

Thankfully, I only met one of these soldiers.

The soldier scratched his cheek awkwardly. “I think that was who. Then excuse me, Commander. Want to go back on patrol again.”

“Oh. Please, please.”

The soldier immediately turned around, walking out of the corridor of Line 3.

After it was confirmed that there were no other soldiers along this corridor, Mavin immediately went after Harnan to the end of the corridor.

When he arrived at the room that was open, it was seen that Astan and Harnan were arguing.

Must have been about the sack problem.

“Should have been, you didn't have to take me with a sack of everything!” namel Astan does not accept. “You think I'm a disposable loli girl in a bag of everything?!”

“Ish! Disgusted I imagined it to be a loli. Die ajat me, hang yourself on the satellite operator!” reply to Harnan's nagging. “If not in the kayak bag earlier, it will be found out if you are a person, a hunter, not a military soldier!”

“Yes, I can still say that I am a laborer in this sector!”

“Stay caught! He's got AutoTerra System, Jamaludin..!”.

“Udah! Udah!”

Mavin shook Harnan and Astan's head so that the two complained, starting to feel a lump on their heads.

“You're…. Udah on safe, even fight.” Mavin started talking to Astan. “Astan, this is your room for a while.”

Astan looked around. This room is small with one bed near the window, bathroom, and toilet itself. It is not so spacious, at least this room is still clean even though it is not inhabited long enough. No problem for you to sleep in a place like this. Sleep anywhere, so.

“In the meantime, you sleep in the labourer's room until you are reunited with the team leader who will carry out the mission with you later,” continued Mavin told, “Sorry, if it is a bit narrow.”

“Tak problems. I'm used to sleeping anywhere.”

“Ya, already. We have to go,” said Mavin, “If for food, it will be sent regularly by robot helpers. So, you don't have to bother coming out again.”

The commander and deputy commander came out of the room, leaving Astan alone.

Both walk through the lane of Line 3. During the walk, Harnan was thinking about something about Astan's seemingly unhealthy state.

“Commander Mavin, are you still sure to involve Astan in the mission?” asked Harnan reassuringly once again. “Not a problem not believing it. But, he seems to be out of shape.”

Mavin turned to Harnan for a moment. “He is not unhealthy.”

Mavin's bright green eyes stared straight at the exit from Line 3 towards the vast area of the Industrial Sector. His view glared at something, estimating the condition of Astan who did look lethargic.

What the hell is going on? Mavin doesn't know.

But, there is only one possibility that Mavin can guess about the condition of Astan.

“She just had a lot of thoughts.”

….

Immediately Astan locked the door so that not just anyone entered. After all, he should still be able to hide here until he gets the next news. Do not get caught by the military if he is an outsider, let alone work as an Iron Rank hunter.

“Haaah..”.

Astan sighed, slamming his body on the surface of the bed mattress. Astan heterochrome eyes staring at the ceiling of the room, the appearance is quite different from the ceiling in the cabin of the ship because the color looks blurry.

Since the mission was run with Arni and Grim, Astan became more lackluster, not excited. All because his mind was always plagued by strange hallucinations. Sometimes there are objects resembling glitch panels that are quite disturbing the direction of view.

[You menda— Mi—..].

Like this one. Just a little thought, the glitch panel appeared. In fact, the panel is not a problematic AutoTerra System panel. There is something hidden inside Astan, but Astan has absolutely no idea what it is. There were various memories about to explode in his mind, but Astan was not sure if it was a memory or just an illusion.

“Gosh...”.

Astan rubbed his face, getting dizzy with his own thoughts. With this, he hopes to complete the mission smoothly, go home alive, and be able to reach the key of all the mysteries that are still locked in him.

“Hopefully this mission is successfully executed.”

Astan stretching the body. It felt stiff and tired after traveling from the Guild ship here, and coming secretly so as not to be caught by the other military.

“Aaah…! The laziness…! If you can, I'd like to sleep until I'm dumb!”

...~*~*~*~...

The room was dark, quiet, and quiet. Tools and furniture in the form of research purposes scattered everywhere. The tubes holding the research materials at every corner broke, the tables lying in just about any place, various advanced machines died and only issued a few electric sparks.

The walls of the area as well as those along the corridor were dirty by red patches. Blood, bones, and pieces of rotten meat dried up along the way. It seems that all the places that are here have been very long unattended.

Not that there's no sign of life. More precisely, there are various objects whose condition is confusing, the shape is strange.

All of those objects there are offending every place-area that is here. Still holding, silent at every corner with various positions, forms, properties. They'll never move until there's another sign of life infiltrating here again, making the intruders their only hope of staying afloat.

Of all the objects that are silent in their respective positions in the dark of the room, there is only one that is almost invisible.

Shadow, dominate with the darkness here. Sitting leaned while drowning his face shape on the knee. He continued to hold on in such a position, his mind was also staring everywhere. The body language he formed seemed like someone was waiting for someone else to pick him up.

“Dia... will be back, right..?”

He whispered to himself, as if someone else could hear his words in this void.

“Dia... will be here soon, won't you..?”

Keep whispering in almost the same words. However, he himself replied with a tone of voice that was much different from before. Face looked up, the two bright yellow eyes that had glared began to curl, signifying his love for the light.

“Iya…. That bastard will come here to pick us up..!”.
