Chapter 54: The Small Hole
“Gosh!”
Edrick was surprised, as were the other members. They only realized that around the gates and corridors there were pieces of body and stews of rotten meat scattered. Even more surprising, the pieces still some of them wear the same armor as theirs.
“They... other team members..?”.
“Maybe they're a team that used to be sent here before our team.”
“Oh, who said he lost contact during that week? How can it be like this.?”.
“Means, fairly new...”.
They were shocked to realize that their fellow battalions ended up like this in a shipwreck. Unfortunately, some members who feel somewhat nauseous should still hold it because they still wear armor complete with helmets and breathing apparatus.
Astan was surprised when he saw some pieces of the carcass, it looks very disgusting. He could not believe, what kind of creature could attack other creatures so fiercely. During Astan's time as a hunter, he almost never saw any hunter die in this horrible way at the hands of monsters.
Maybe that's because Astan rarely takes missions. If he takes a mission, he always does it himself and he can overcome it.
“Around here there are also lines of doors that have been fully open.”
They also realized that along the corridor were rows of doors connected to several other rooms that seemed to be all open.
“What do we check first?” ask one of the soldiers.
Edrick asked Wirma, “How?”
Wirma checked the radar. “Faith. No suspicious objects around here.”
“OK. But, stay alert,” Edrick reminded the team members.
Some of them moved into different rooms, including Astan and Sadin.
Instant entered a room that looked like a cabin room. Maybe the rows of rooms along this corridor are cabins for the crew, Astan thought.
The flashlight provides lighting according to the direction of view of Astan, dark and quiet, tracing every corner of the room. It looked very messy, the furniture was broken, and the cloths were strewn with blood spots.
Just this time Astan was faced with a situation similar to horror-scifi films.
Astan searched the whole room, finding nothing suspicious. Until when he crouched down, found a hole next to the closet.
The hole looks small for a human to enter. He tried to ride a little, illuminating the hole with a flashlight, trying to figure out where this hole was connected to. However, something behind the hole was not very clearly visible, it remained dark despite being illuminated by a flashlight even with night vision features.

Instant stood up, feeling free to find out about the hole. Then, he went back to the room.
The man tried to peek under the bed. His wide eyes found the human head rotting, glaring with a gaping mouth right in front of Astan.
Spontaneous Astan stood up, immediately stepped on the bed until it was destroyed so shocked. As a result, the sound of the crumbling of the bed was clearly heard, making them startled as well.
“What is it?!” wirma said spontaneously.

Wirma hit Edrick on the shoulder when he heard the chairman was still hard to get rid of his latency habit.

Some members who had been through the other room immediately came out, preparing with their respective weapons, aiming towards the only room where the sound came from.
They were astonished when the one who came out was the figure of Astan, still complete with his armor while carrying something in hand.
“Sorry, ngagetin. I was shocked by this earlier.”
Everything was immediately disgusted when Astan showed a piece of rotten head had been crushed due to the hit by the bed that Astan stepped on.
“Ish, Instant! What the fuck are you..?!”
“You made us all almost hangers, you know?!”
“Udah, already…. You guys don't make a fuss so.” Wirma tried to mediate. “You too, Astan. Don't surprise us with such unimportant things.”
“One more time, sorry.” Without sin, Astan threw the piece of head back. “Then I was shocked. I think that the head is one of the previous team members. The foul is not so dry-dry very.”
“Can be, anyway.” Sadin. “It seems, along the corridor here, many previous teams died. What makes them die here?”
Tenma who is a non-talking warrior started to reply, “So I found one small hole in the room I checked.”

The members are certainly curious about what kind of hole is always found in every room they check, a hole that is quite small and very dark. There is no way it is a hole for humans, and there cannot be any rodents on a starship.
“Where, Chairman?” Astan looked at Edrick. “This... need to check the holes we found, or skip aja?”

Three soldiers approached, starting to hold the handle of the lever next to it.

Edrick and the three soldiers were silent as Wirma gave a warning.

“Iya...” Wirma showed the radar to Edrick. “Behind this gate, there are many suspicious objects detected.”
Edrick saw what was detected on the radar. He was quite surprised, realizing that there were indeed many blue dots in any place found behind the gate they were about to open.
“Still the blue dot, means it's still safe, right? Just a mysterious object undetected,” said Edrick calmly.
“Iya, I know. Only, it's good we need to be vigilant. Sometimes these blue dots can be red, depending on what kind of object we find. Could be ‘kan, monster or... sort of.”.
Edrick nodded with Wirma's response. “Telah.” He immediately gave the order, “Everything, as I and the three other soldiers opened this gate, you prepared for your position. Stay alert, just in case something suspicious comes to us.”
Everyone nodded, starting to take their respective positions, preparing to take aim. Two members faced back, in case someone suddenly attacked from behind, while the rest prepared in front of the gate, among whom there was also a chance to look up and down.
“OK, ready?”
The three soldiers nodded, ready to help Edrick turn the gate lever.
“One, two, three!”
The four of them turned the lever. The lever was hard enough even for a Gold-ranked warrior like Edrick, so they had to turn it around with all their might. After the lever successfully rotated completely, they still needed to shift the gate until it was completely open.
The gate was moved until it opened. Now it began to look a large area that was very dark. Some soldiers aimed their flashlights. They were again surprised by what was found out there.
“I-this...”.
