Chapter 23: Only the Dagger

Grim was astonished at Astan's bravery, the man's recklessness to fight all Mutant Frogs using only a dagger. Supposedly, Iron Rank hunters would not be able to fight this many enemies even if they were at the Easy Level.

Initially Grim doubted Astan's bravery, it was possible that the orange-haired man would die in vain from the Mutant Frogs. However, his doubts turned to confusion upon receiving the scanner notification from the AutoTerra System.

Astan again darted on the previous frog, rolling over on the monster's body while pulling out a dagger on the head. And throw one grenade back at the herd of Mutant Frog.

Grim also attempted to destroy parts of the Alpha's Shield at close range, creating cracks that could be penetrated by Arni's sniper rifle bullets from a distance.

While shooting at the Mutant Frogs, Grim shouted at Astan, “Chairman! He's doing recovery in the swamps! His health is growing there!”

“What?!” Astan looked angry to know. “Use healing everything?! Why didn't my system give me a warning?”

There's no other choice. Astan must remove the Alpha Mutant Frog from the swamp water while Grim is still trapped in the monster troupe.

“Arni, keep shooting!”

“Good!”

Astan immediately shot towards the swamp. A grenade was ready to be thrown in his hand.

As he leapt high above the recuperating Alpha in the swamp water, Astan threw the grenade at him. It creates a burst and a wave of swamp water that is quite large. As a result of the attack, the Alpha's recovery was restrained and caused a gap in his Shield.

“Because of you!”

Astan landed on the Alpha's massive body. Trying to stab him nonstop. He also smashed Alpha's canine teeth to shreds, stomped on the lower mouth and raised the upper mouth with one hand, while the other hand stabbed the inside of the mouth without caring about the long tongue of the monster several times almost wrapped around it.

As Astan attempts to injure Alpha Mutant Frog, he yells at Grim and Arni.

“Grim, you have Martial Type-2, right?! Can you improve Arni's attack ability using that?!”

Grim who was still busy shooting the herd of Mutant Frog shouted back, “Can! But, his ability is unstable due to my low intelligence stats!”

“At least can increase the attack power of the Sniper Rifle weapon!”

In the end, they managed to finish off the Alpha.
