Chapter 37: Three Years Ago

“What is this, Captain Murdi?”

Apparently the one who came was the figure of the vice-chairman of the Guild, Noah. The man, standing next to Murdi, began to hold his hands against his chest.

“Oh, Jura—.”

Noah almost threw a sharp look.

“Ma-I mean, Vice Chairman Noah.”

Noah nodded with a smile. Yes, Noah who was smiling, Murdi almost died standing there.

“It…. As I said before, two Hippie Travelers have arrived here,” continued Murdi.

“Hippie Traveler?”

Noah notices Mavin and Harnan's appearance. Actually, he was confused by the current situation. But Murdi had given body language that these two men were the commander and deputy commander of the battalion of the Ribelo Orbit Force.

Finally, Noah nodded in understanding. He smiled slightly, trying to hold back the laughter at their silly appearance.

Murdi tried to introduce, “So, this is his name Joko Cengir, and his friend Kudiman Jasaja.”

“Bhua—huff.

Almost Noah's laughter exploded if only he could not stand it while holding his queen's stomach which began to be a bit dark.

Mavin and Harnan threw each other an annoyed look, as if to tell them that it was true that their pseudonyms sounded ridiculous. But, it's okay. At least with this ridiculous name, people hangar so do not suspect them anymore.

But, almost laugh at them.

“Eee…. You okay, Vice Chairman?” ask Murdi.

Noah tried to hold a standing position, still smiling withholding laughter. “Hehe. It'sit's okay. Continue.”

Murdi again continued, “So, these two people came here because they wanted to meet someone to be invited to travel to find cosmic tranquility, he said.”

Noah's expression turned more serious. He stared at the two, starting to understand the intent of that feigned goal.

“Good. Earlier, I took you to my room. We talk about this there.”

The four of them walked away leaving the hangar, escorted by Noah and Murdi.

At the time of their departure, Soni's figure who was cleaning the airframe saw the interaction until their departure from the hangar.

The arrival of the two foreigners was quite suspicious, because their ship very rarely arrival outside guests other than those acquaintances of this ship. If they want to do business, they prefer meetings outside the ship.

“Hmm…. Who are they, huh? Rarely does the Vice Chairman receive guests from outside, what else is not clear so,” muttered Soni while wiping the fuselage. “Ah, but bodo very, lah. Their business too. I ‘mah important mempercakep look of this beloved Supri. Hehe…. Sand, Supri. So cute, yee…. Let us be flooded with customers to rent our aircraft ojek services.”

And Soni continues to clean her plane with affection.

“Come.”

Noah invited them into the workspace of the Guild's chairman and vice chairman who were in the Guild Deck. Just like other workspaces, this room has a single work desk, another work desk, a series of document cabinets, and there is also a sofa to welcome guests like them.

They all entered, except for Murdi who was still at the door of the room.

“Vice Chairman, it looks like I have to go back to the bridge. There is still a lot I need to take care of,” said Murdi.

Noah nodded. “Good. Thank you for your help, Captain Murdi.”

Murdi said a polite farewell to them, and went away from the workspace, automatically the door there was closed.

“Please sit.”

Noah also invited them to sit down. However, the one sitting on the sofa opposite Noah was only Mavin. Harnan preferred to pull one of the chairs in front of the desk, pull it near the wall, and sit there. Harnan refused to sit near Mavin. Still pissed about this ridiculous disguise.

“Here there is no one but us, right?” asked Harnan when he was just sitting in his chair.

“Iya. It's safe here" Noah replied calmly.

“Good.”

Harnan immediately took off his wig and gondrong mustache. He was already very uncomfortable having to dress silly like this. How about trying if their comrades in the Ribelo Orbit Army knew they were disguised with this ridiculous makeup.

Harnan occasionally scratched his itchy head and cheeks. “Finally, can also be separated from these two ridiculous objects. Make it itchy.”

Ignoring Harnan's complaints about the disguise he was wearing, Mavin scanned the entire room. Here there are two work desks, one for the chairman and one for the vice chairman. To Mavin's surprise, why did the only representative welcome them, Noah? Where did the Guild Leader go?

“Sorry. If I may ask, where is the Guild Leader now?” ask Mavin. “From earlier who welcomed us only you and the captain of the ship.”

“What pain, yes?”

“…. Infection, from an Extreme Level monster as we attempt to conquer Dungeon.”

“Oh...” Mavin nodded in understanding. “Sorry if I—.”

“Tak what. Surely the effect is disrespectful when the Guild Leader does not welcome important people.” Noah gave a friendly smile.

Mavin. It felt bad when it alluded to the matter of the Guild Leader who was currently in severe pain.

“So, I am now dealing with the commander and deputy commander?” Noah began to shift the topic while crossing his legs while leaning on the sofa.

“True.” Mavin took off his rain glasses. “I am the commander of Y13 Aturna Battalion, Mavin L. Vladiskov. And who was with me was the deputy commander, Harnan Prakoso.”

“Yo,” greet informally Harnan while sitting with the seat back position facing forward.

“So...., you are Commander Mavin and the only Deputy Commander Harnan, right?”

Mavin smiled briefly. “Not to be too formal so.”

“Alright, if it wants An— I mean, if that's what you want.” Noah began to ask the point, “So, what is it about you two to our small Guild ship?”

“Begini...”.

Mavin grabs the phone from his clothing pocket, looking around for data and photos of someone he wants to ask.

“We had received the data of residents of the ship Thornic 035 and its Guild members. There is identity data from someone who quite caught our attention.”

Mavin showed the data along with a photo of a man with messy orange hair, heterochrome eyes, and a wound on the left eye.

“Do you know this person?”

Noah grabbed the phone, watching the data along with the photo of the person, trying to remember if there really was this person in his Guild.

“Astan Pradipta Cornell, yes?” Noah looked at Mavin. “Yes, he is indeed in our Guild as an Iron Rank hunter.”

“Iron Rank?”

One more gaffe Mavin got from this information. But, Mavin did not dare to speculate anything until he actually got more complete information.

“What do you need to find Astan? Does he have any problems with the military?”

“No. Not at all,” denied Mavin's calm. “We looked for it because of a special interest. Unfortunately, we cannot tell you what kind of interests we mean until we get more accurate information about Astan Pradipta Cornell.”

From Mavin's words alone, Noah knew that the commander demanded a definitive answer before telling him the true purpose of seeking Astan.

Noah sighed, putting the phone on the table. It's hard to believe this military. Maybe Astan really has a serious problem so they do not want to tell the real purpose of looking for Astan.

But when viewed from Mavin's expression, the commander seemed to have sincerity, honesty in every word.

Perhaps true, there is an important reason that makes them have to look for Astan. It's not a matter of the quarrel between the hunters and the military, but there's something even deeper.

“So...” Now it's Mavin's turn to ask, “Since when was she on the Thornic Ship 035?”

There was a pause of a while until Noah replied from what he remembered, “Three years ago.”

Both Harnan and Mavin were stunned to hear it. Three years ago, it was the time that coincided with the incident on the Feron 072.

Noah held his sitting position. “During this time, our ship received quite a number of homeless people who had no place to live on a planet nor were expelled from the colony ship. But, the matter of this Astan case is different.”

Noah's two gray eyes sharpened, further emphasizing his words on the continued explanation. It seems that the topic of this conversation will be deeper to discuss.

“Three years ago, we found it bobbing inside a Lifepod Capsule near our ship.”

Another important piece of information that made Mavin almost shocked when he found out.

"Who dares to call me the Fish Meal?"

Noah Benjamin Carl's

Actually, it's an old picture, yeah. But because his face matches my expectations, so I just use this face as a Jura-I mean character, Noah.

Less cute, yee? I'll try redraw. For now, I can't draw the face of other characters first because my index finger likes to be cramped (already a week like gini mulu). Therefore, maybe the update will also be 1 chapie a day or absent a day for recovery.

I want to let you know that this storyline is slow enough. Hence, impressed there is rarely a scene of geludnya.

If you feel bored with the part of the story that kek gini-gini mulu, can be postponed reading it until it arrives at the part that you think is interesting (if you risk you will not understand the important points because it is skipped). If you still feel uninterested too, I don't mind you leaving this story. That is your right as a reader.
