AutoTerra: Operating Systems
Chapter 36: Incognito

“So, are you sure we're going to ship Thornic 035?”

At the battalion commander's office, Harnan is still trying to convince Mavin whether his decision to go to the Thornic Ship 035 is now the right decision.

Mavin himself was seen cleaning up some files that had messed up on his desk. He appeared to be in a hurry, short of time as the plane that would be delivering them to the Guild ship was soon ready.

“At a time like this?” continued Harnan, “After all, are you sure that the one in the photo of the Guild member is the Ash we know?”

“Then who else, huh?” Mavin asked. “In the military personnel data of Feron Ship 072 written the name of Astan Pradipta Cornell, in the data of the Hunter Guild also written the name of Astan Pradipta Cornell. Who else has that name? Indeed, in the entire solar system there must have been the same name, but at least there are differences in the clan or other parts of the name arrangement. And his face was exactly the same. It's clear, Harn…. Clear...!”

“But, not obviously very,” elak Harnan, cross. “Ash that we know his face is like a naive person, this one is even sangar. Eye color is also different next to, there is a wound in the left eye anyway.”

Mavin seems to be thinking on his desk. “Maybe something happened to Ash while on that damned ship, so he looks different.”

It's also free to question Mavin about the likeness of the figure. The commander remained insistent on wanting to go to the Guild ship to meet him.

Harnan pinched his nose for a moment. “Then, what's the point of us meeting this alleged Ash when we ourselves are still dizzy with the mission to the Feron Ship?”

Mavin stared intently at Harnan. Not that he was angry, but he was trying to explain this more seriously.

“I do not intend to reunite with Ash, Deputy Commander. If for a reunion, it can still be postponed. But. Try to think again. Ash three years ago was in charge of escorting and supervising the Feron Ship to guarantee production and deliver the stock of medicines to Planet GT624,” explained Mavin.

“Then?” Harnan raises his eyebrows.

“If we meet him, we can get information about what happened on Feron Ship 072 three years ago. In addition, he could be a strong witness at the trial to judge the BioEmerald. Ash's key, Harn…! Keys!” mavin said.

“Woolah...”.

Harnan patted his eel. He realized that the role of Ash was very important in this mission if it was true that the Ash they were looking for was a hunter in the Thornic Guild.

Why didn't Harnan think about getting there? Even irritated at the thought that the commander wanted to see Ash for personal reasons while still in this precarious period. Even though Harnan is only 31 years old, how can you be senile like this?

“So...” Harnan again questioned, “Yang so the problem, is it true this hunter is Ash?”

Mavin again kept some of his tabs in the drawer. “From his similar name and face, I'm sure it's him. But, we will never know if not try to get there now.”

“But, how? Can't ‘ us to the ship of the Thornic Guild with our identity as military members? You know for yourself that the relationship between the military and hunters is quite tenuous.”

Mavin stopped cleaning tools at the desk. Now, his face seemed to seriously think of a way to get there without anyone knowing that they were members of the military.

True, said Harnan, it would be very bad if the entire ship Thornic 035 knows their identity. Moreover, the residents are the average homeless people who have been raided by the military security. They must have had a grudge.

Then how did they get there?

...~*~*~*~...

One of the planes had just passed through the outer area of the hangar and entered the main hangar of the Thornic Ship 035. The plane is fairly simple, is an ordinary transport aircraft that models the same as the planes in this hangar.

“We've arrived, Koman— Ma-I mean, Sir..”.

What it means to nod. “You wait here until we get back here. Don't make others suspicious.”

“Good.”

The passenger exited with one of his colleagues from the plane. Apparently, they were both Mavin and Harnan. However, now they are undercover so that their identity is unknown to the ship's occupants.

The two started down the stairs of the plane, noticing the hangar situation that seemed not so crowded by people. It's just, Harnan felt uncomfortable with their disguise.

Even though they were both disguised, not wearing military uniforms or anything like that, they were still the center of attention.

“Commander,” whispered Harnan when they had gone down the stairs.

“Hm?”

“This is not wrong we wear like this?”

“Kan important they don't think that we are military,” back whispered Mavin relaxed.

“Iya, I know,” said Harnan bete. “But not being a Hippie kid too!”

Harnan was annoyed when he realized they were disguised as Hippies. This is ridiculous, according to Harnan. Their appearance became the center of attention of the people in this hangar, there were even some who tried to hold back laughter.

How not ridiculous? They look strange with this look. Mavin with colorful floral loose t-shirts, loose trousers, and rainbow-colored glasses.

Is it still clear that the commander saw wearing such glasses?

While Harnan wears a tassel vest along the thighs, torn jeans, and wear a gondrong wig and fake mustache.

“This... what clothes, anyway.?” Harnan wagged his vest rumba. “Tear-tear clothes, wear wig gondrong ama mustache gondrong too. I've been a new bachelor coming out of the cave, this.”

“Kan nyamar let 'not look like a member of the military.” Mavin took a standing meditation pose. “Hippie Kaum ‘kan reverse of military. The military was known for their violent affairs, while the Hippies were peace-loving. Hooow…. I could feel the cosmic peace that enveloped my entire soul and body. Peace…. Peace is beautiful, you bastards.!”.

“Malah gushed him,” muttered Harnan to.

As the two were busy chatting about their ridiculous disguise, the hangar gates opened, revealing the figure of a man in his 40s, a slightly gray hair, and wearing a special spaceship uniform.

The man quickly walked over to Mavin and Harnan, instantly giving a respectful position.

“My respect, Captain Murdi, overlooking Koman—.”

Mavin hastily smothers the captain's mouth so as not to mention his nickname. However, some of his remarks made some people in the hangar look at them with a probing look.

Still smothering Murdi's mouth, Mavin whispered, “Ja-don't salute me, and don't call me with real identity. We're undercover so the residents here don't know we're in the military. Understand?”

Murdi nodded in understanding.

Mavin opened his arms, patting his hands for a moment so that Murdi's mouth was gone.

They look around. Even though Murdi certainly would not pay his respects, people still look at their suspicions.

“La-then…. Ekhem! Ekhem!” Murdi cleared her throat, trying to eliminate nervousness. “I have to call you guys what?”

The two began to think. Until now, they have not thought of disguising themselves as who. All they know is that Hippie dress up is so much different from military makeup.

They were still looked at suspiciously, some even stared at them sharply as if ready to pounce at any time. Murdi also decided to act more relaxed as when he was dealing with new people in general.

“Ja-so..., with Mr.... who is it, this?” murdi asked with a smile, but still seemed stiff.

Mavin and Harnan are starting to feel uncomfortable being stared at by the hangars, afraid that their disguises will be exposed. Forced, Mavin mentions the origin of his false identity.

“Sa-me…. Joko Cengir.”

“Heh?!”

Harnan was stunned to hear Mavin's pseudonym. How can this commanding officer who is known to be authoritative use a silly name like that?

At first Murdi was also stunned by the pseudonym. It seems very unsuitable to be used as a pseudonym for a Mavin. But, he again tried to be as relaxed as possible to deal with them.

While the people around who seem to pay attention suspiciously are now among them trying to hold back laughter because of the name.

Okay, at least the atmosphere is not as good as before, Mavin thought.

“Originally from where..?” ask Murdi back.

“Ka-we. Seeking cosmic tranquility, moving away from her name of infighting.”

“Ooo...” Murdi nodded as if he understood, but did not understand very well.

“Whose other Master?” murdi asked Harnan.

“Diman.”

Okay, that sounds normal for a name. At least, more mending this name than the pseudonym Mavin.

“Long name?” ask Murd again.

“My name…. Ku...” Spontaneous Harnan replied, “Kudiman Jasaja— Agh!!!”

Harnan screamed stifled because Mavin immediately pinched her waist hard.

“Why pinched?” hannan whispered to Mavin.

“Your name is ludicrous, know?!” reply Mavin whispers.

“Your name is also ridiculous. Is there a time for its whiny? For six months I worked with you, never have I seen you grin.”

“Ya, it's a pseudonym. At least my pseudonym is more mending than yours. Disgust.”

When the two were arguing indistinctly, it appeared that someone wearing glasses in all black clothes and reddish hair was walking towards them.

“What is this, Captain Murdi?”
