Chapter 46: Team Leader

Both of Astan's heterochrome eyes narrowed, still lying, just waking up from sleep. Again he felt a dream about a figure that sounded still like a groan, but tucked a tone of relief even though only felt vaguely.

Whatdoes thatmean? Does the moaning in Astan's dream know that he will go to Feron Ship 072, the place where the voice meant to return?

That means Mavin's guess is right. The Feron 072 may have been where Astan had come from before being on the Thornic Guild Ship.

Is it true that Astan was a military member who had been employed on the ship, and had forgotten the memory of the incident there?

Astan rubbed his face rough. All the questions in Astan's mind are getting more and more torturous.

Astan rubs his pink hair back. “I must really clear up this mission if this is the only way to get all the answers to the disturbances I suffered,” he murmured annoyed.

The doorbell sounded, indicating someone was coming. Astan tried to wake up in the midst of drowsiness that is still felt. A little wary, afraid if who comes is a member of the military who is patrolling. Astan did not want to pay attention to it, but the bell kept ringing.

The man with orange hair closed the door. Soon, Astan must prepare to meet with Mavin and Harnan. Today too, he will be introduced to the team leader who will lead his group in the mission.

Now, Astan is already in one of the office spaces in the Industrial Sector. From what Mavin explained, this room is an office that is no longer used. But, it still looks pretty good and worth to be occupied.

They still need to be in the Industrial Sector because it is still safe from the presence of the military. Even patrolling military members were not so many, still able to pass through quietly without being caught.

There were only three of them here, Astan, Harnan, and Mavin. Harnan was seen checking the data on the tab while sitting in the work chair, while Mavin stood alone near the door waiting for the arrival of the team leader.

While waiting for the chairman to come, Astan sat on the sofa while exchanging messages with Arni on his phone. In the message, Arni tells her that she is eager to carry out the Guild mission again with Astan. But Astan said, he couldn't go along for some missions because of the affairs outside the Guild.

Astan advises Arni to carry out the mission with Grim only. Although new to Grim, Astan believes that the cat-faced man with a gorilla can be trusted. At least, with the Bug ability that Grim has, the man can help Arni complete missions and level up.

Astan also extended his greetings to Suda to Arni. Upon his death from the Guild ship, Astan did not say goodbye at all as he hurriedly left.

I wonder how his best friend is doing now? Hopefully it is not preoccupied with various jobs in the field of mechanical engineering.

“Still for longer?” ask Astan after you finish sending a message, save the phone back into your pocket.

The chairman immediately saluted, “My respect, Team Leader Aravan071 Edrick Ron, facing Commander Mavin and Deputy Commander Harnan!”

“Already, already. You don't have to salute like that,” said Mavin as casually as possible, “Well, you're in. Let's talk about what we want to tell you.”

Edrick entered the office, the door was automatically closed, locked Mavin using a password so that no outsiders would interfere.

“Oh! About meeting me with an important person you mean?” ask Edrick to Mavin. “It's as important as what the person is? Is he a local police inspector? The doctor? A scientist? Or—.”

Edrick's blue eyes almost meet the eye of Astan if only not blocked by the AutoTerra System panel that suddenly appeared, showing the details of Astan's personal data. Edrick jolted when he accidentally read it.

Astan stuck his body on the back of the sofa with bulging eyes, afraid that the team leader would rampage pouncing on Astan. Harnan who was somewhat irritated by Edrick's reaction began to move from his chair, approached Edrick, and unmitigatedly clapped his hands as hard as possible in front of Edrick to make him surprised.
