AutoTerra: Operating Systems
Chapter 51: Departure of the Team

Two days have passed, finally all personnel Aravan071 Team will soon be dispatched to visit the wreck of Feron 072.

In the hangar of the eastern part of the headquarters, close to the Military Sector, the entire team members were preparing near the aircraft that would transport them. They all wore special dark-colored clothing, all the equipment, weapons, items needed were already stored in the storage of their respective systems.

Astan himself had just finished storing the Mavin-given weapon into storage. Judging by the circumstances around, it seems that the members are still doing the preparation, even some of them took the time to say goodbye to their respective families, including Edrick.

“N-Nyak, Edrick went on a mission. Pray for Edrick baek-baek there, Nyak,” Edrick said by phone call, accompanied by a look of restraining tears.

“Nyak always pray for Edrick. Edrick over there also has to be careful. Go home alive, don't die. If you die, Nyak will not apologize Edrick until the end of Nyak.”

“Nyak, send greetings also the same Babeh. Take care of your health with Babeh. Edrick love you both..” Edrick started to shed tears.

“Do not do that, Drick! Nyak ama Babeh is always dear. Go home alive, ‘Nakku. Don't you die! Thin…. Nyak...”

“NYAK...!!!”

Break the cry of Edrick, can not stand to say goodbye to his beloved mother. He knew he would most likely not survive this mission. So, it was heavy for his heart to say goodbye in this way for the last time.

Astan was a bit sad to see it. It must be very difficult to say goodbye to loved ones when they realize that the mission to be carried out is fairly difficult.

When all the personnel say goodbye to their families through a call, Astan has no intention of contacting anyone. Apart from having no family, Astan did not want to say anything to Suda or Arni.

Suda and Arni certainly still did not know that his departure from the Guild Ship was due to military necessity, so it would be very suspicious if he gave a rather ambiguous message, impressed to say goodbye.

“Chairman Edrick was a crybaby. But, he is also strict when it comes to running a mission.”

Astan turned his gaze to the brunettes man who happened to be standing next to him.

[Name : Wirma Riza]

[Gender Type: Male]

[Age: 20 years]

[Profession : Warrior]

[Lift: Silver]

Astan immediately removed the panel of his system which was somewhat transfaran. The person beside Astan was the Vice-Chairman of the team. From the personal data obtained through the system, Astan quite admired the vice chairman. At such a young age he had already served as vice-chairman of the team, and soon he would rise to the Gold Rankings.

Wirma must have been a very accomplished soldier from a young age. Vice Chairman Ash used to be an accomplished soldier at a young age, right? If calculated from the age of Astan now, surely Ash has served as vice chairman since the age of about 20 years. ‘lah with Wirma now.

Again, I think about Ash. Is Ash really Astan himself?

Okay, maybe from this mission he'll get the answer.

“You're Vice Chairman Wirma, right?” astan asked in a somewhat flat tone, still a little awkward to talk to people who were not familiar with him.

Astan simply replied with a nod. Sometimes he can forget himself with people who are not close friends like Wirma. Good thing Wirma is a friendly person.

“Ah. It is only natural to forget. I also sometimes like to forget the same people who have only been met for a few days,” said Wirma confirmed the awkward chat Astan. “You're certainly Astan, right? Commander Mavin told me you were a transfer soldier from Ribelo-I.” Group

“Oh, yes. That— Eh?”

Astan surprised. How can Mavin's lies be similar to his lies when he tells the military personnel false identities? They have not agreed to make such a lie. Did the other members tell Mavin?

A falsehood is caused by coincidence.

“Why?”

“E-Eh Astan was more groggy asked that. “I-it. I'm transferring from Ribelo-I.” Group

“Oh…. Okay, okay.”

Astan is really awkward when it comes to dealing with members of the military. Why is he like this? Not the nature of Astan….

“Good. Everyone is getting ready.”

Now, all members of Team Aravan071 turned to focus on the figure of Mavin and Harnan as a representative who always faithfully accompanied him.

Previously, Mavin took a breath until he exhaled slowly. “…. As I explained earlier, your mission is to find more evidence of involvement between BioEmerald and the Feron Company. Whatever the item, if there is any connection with the illegal actions of BioEmerald and Feron, then take it and bring it to the headquarters.”

“This team is the last team that our battalion can send to carry out the mission. If this mission fails, it will not be resumed. The official mission is closed, and it is likely that the BioEmerald will win the trial, free of charge. Therefore, I very much look forward to your success. And also..”.

Mavin lowered his head for a moment, trying to quickly change his shoulder expression. When releasing the departure of his men to this dangerous mission, of course as the leader of a large group of Mavin was very hit.

The blonde-haired man wished they could all survive. But, that's impossible. Most likely they ended up the same as the previous personnel. If there are survivors, there must be a small amount.

“….Try to get back alive.”

A simple request, but quite striking when realizing the harsh reality behind it. Everything seemed sad, but it did not last long when their simultaneous thunder rang out, showing that they were undaunted, they were eager to carry out the mission as dangerous as it was.

“Ready, Commander!”

….

Their team's transport plane just took off from the hangar. Mavin and Harnan noticed the plane was flying beyond the speed of light away from their base through a window on the edge of the hangar.

It feels heavy to let go of many lives for the umpteenth time, but the task is still a task, the obligation is still an obligation. Let there be many sacrifices for the sake of justice, though it feels sad to accept it.

“I still feel a bit pessimistic by sending this last team to the wreck.” Harnan looked at Mavin. “And also.. about the decision to involve Astan also into this mission.”.

Mavin sighed. “…. We can only hope for the best, Deputy Commander Harnan. Indeed, right now I have a bad feeling about the mission they are on.”

Mavin clasped his hands across his chest, his green eyes staring straight at the dark landscape of space and the bluish surface of the planet Ribelo's atmosphere.

“But I am optimistic, this mission will be successfully completed despite having to risk many lives for the last time.”
