Chapter 61: The Monster 2 Raid

“What's—.”

A Barkata jumped from behind Astan, about to pounce on him.

“Haaargh!”

Astan reflex mashed Barkata's chest using a rifle butt until it bounced, then shot dead.

Around him also more and more popping Barkata to pounce on Astan. Immediately Astan shot some of them, some were killed, some were still alive and only suffered injuries.

Right now, the number of monsters was too much. It was difficult for them to finish off all the Barkata quickly, the bridge path to the chamber was completely covered by this horde of mouth-headed monsters.

While on the right wall, Farhan and Irawan also shot Barkata's entourage who invaded there. Both are quite overwhelmed even though they have been helped by sentry and drones. The number of monsters was endless. It looks like a group of ants that are busy forming nest colonies.

A few seconds the leeches overflowed Daren's body, increasingly sucking up the system's energy and some had almost gnawed at his armor. His consciousness was beginning to fade. A little more, then the entire body of Daren will be completely devoured and taken over by the leeches.

Daren tried to breathe, the tightness in the respiratory cavity began to interfere. “….I. I cannot continue my duties…. Please, replace me for the last time.”

One shot from Sadin was fired at the last Barkata. Although there are still many Barkata coming, but at least there is a gap for Sadin for now. His eyes widened in disbelief, he could not accept that Daren said so.

Behind that helmet, the final smile was engraved on Daren's face.
