The Magic of Charlotte

"Sister Mellie, what did you do to that thing?" Charlotte exclaimed frantically to find the chewy object she had formed reflected quickly here and there. The chewy thing had already broken some important objects in the palace laboratory. Charlotte kept asking Melissa to stop her immediately.

"I just gave her a little mana" Melissa explained. He and Charlotte are hiding under the table right now. "Maybe my magic control is still not right on that thing. In it, my mana was exploding so that it gave him the force to move like that."

"What did you say? Not when I explain it now!" charlotte snapped, "Quick find a way to make it stop. Kyaa...!?"

The chewy thing just hit the floor right in front of Charlotte. Luckily the trajectory did not lead to the little girl. Melissa protected her head with both hands. He kept observing the movement of the object, but not to stop it.

Brakk! Laboratory door slammed hard.

"Mellie! Lottie! What are you guys doing here?" a wrinkled woman suddenly entered while furiously, "You guys are making a fuss. The problem guy is gone. Ouch!"

Something attacked the shriveled woman's head from behind. He falls and finds Charlotte and Melissa hiding under the table. They gave an awkward smile while the wrinkled woman looked at him sharply in astonishment.

"Aunt Lislie, watch out!" charlotte exclaimed as the woman was just about to get up.

Lislie was still confused and not ready. The chewy thing came back on him so he fell back. He complained a second time. His irritated gaze was now burning as if he wanted to prey on Charlotte and Melissa who continued to suck into the middle of the table.

The sound of a fragment was heard again. Lislie turned to look at the origin of the voice and saw a strange object containing irregular mana inside. He understood and knew what had attacked him. His mouth was muttering a spell and pointing it at the chewy thing.

Yusuf...!

The chewy thing suddenly lost its mana and fell to the floor like a broken ball of color. Charlotte heaved a sigh of relief but Melissa instead looked disappointed while Lislie stared intently at them.

"Basic! How much chaos do you want to make?" lislie's snapped to a waist. Charlotte and Melissa knelt before him. Melissa didn't seem to care, she was common.

Different from Charlotte. He continues to curse Melissa because the girl of Nana's age who always makes a tantrum. He also got his sap. Even so, he could not immediately taste it. However, his discoveries were great.

"Well," Melissa replied listlessly. Charlotte sighed as Lislie left. She turned her face away as Melissa showed teary eyes.

"Take care of all your mistakes! Don't involve me" said Charlotte trying to get up from her seat. A moment later he fell down, "Oh my feet were tingling. Lislie's grandmother nags too long."

Charlotte cast a spell on her leg. Quickly, his condition improved. He stood up and patted his dirty research robe. He looked at Melissa again. The young girl looked lamenting for something. Definitely not on the money that will be wasted a lot~the magician's salary is huge~, but his research that Lislie destroyed in an instant.

"Well, it's none of my business" murmured Charlotte softly. Actually he wanted to develop a communication tool made by Nana. Unfortunately, the crystal ball had already broken now. "Geez, how am I going to say it to Nana later?"

"Lottie, what are you doing here? You're not helping Mellie?" namel Lislie when she saw Charlotte walking down the aisle. Charlotte was jolted by it. The little girl turned her face away while softly reciting her tranquilizing spell.

"Auntie, I just looked. I'm not guilty. Really," said Charlotte seducing. Both of her tiny hands grabbed onto Lislie's robe. The wrinkled woman who was actually already very older than her looks was immediately affected. His eyes seemed to see a cute angel descending from the sky. Unknowingly, her hand rubbed Charlotte's platinum blonde hair, "It's okay, Lottie. You are indeed innocent. Here's lunch with aunt."

Charlotte was happy to. The 10-year-old girl was not interested in having lunch together. However, he did not want to get involved more with the problems created by his co-workers.

"You make no difference. He'd better be my disciple" said another witch. His face was young but his age was much older than his appearance.

"Whatdidyou say? You old grandma!" the witch who had Nana didn't accept. Although they made a fuss, the main concern remained with Charlotte who was in Lislie's arms. The girl chanted something and instantly the two witches who were about to fight were silent. Do you know why they cry?

"What do you want to eat, Lottie?" ask Lislie gently. Charlotte pointed to her favorite menu. He feels happy. Sometimes he felt his chest. He felt there was less. He doesn't understand what it is. His eyes were sad.

"Lottie, Lottie," Lislie called in surprise, "Is there anything that makes you feel bad, honey?"

Charlotte immediately shook her head and returned to show her smile. The people in the cafeteria started to noisily again praising his priesthood. They were like seeing a flower blooming on the side of the little girl.

"Thank you, Auntie," Charlotte said she wanted to go back to her study. He's very full now. Although pleased, he still felt something was lacking in his heart. It always is. He always felt there was a void in his life. He was surrounded by nice and friendly people.

"Lottie," called out a familiar voice from behind. The sound shocked Charlotte. The owner of the voice offered me something, "Let's accompany me to tea."

"Ah, sorry, Your Honor," Charlotte bowed. He remembered Crown Princess el Vierum when he saw the owner of the voice. In a hurry, he deactivated his magic that had since been active. His magic gave comfort to those around him. "I'm still busy. I can't accompany you."

Charlotte is a sensitive and civilized girl. He never wanted to be the gap between Antonio and Crown Princess el Vierum. He's not that bad antagonist. His only wish was to befriend anyone in this world.

"Your highness?" Antonio looked at the astonished Charlotte who was bowed in, "Don't you promise to eliminate the honorific?"

"I wouldn't be as disrespectful as that, Your Majesty," Charlotte retreated as Antonio tried to grab her hand. "I'll excuse you first."

"Lottie, wait!" Antonio stood stunned in disbelief. It felt like the girl was avoiding him. He wondered what was wrong with him.

From a distance, Alice and Anna saw the incident. They were on the second floor of the palace complex that was opposite the Magic Research Laboratory. The complex imposed a ban on the use of magic because it is often passed by the princesses.

"Miss, do I need to investigate?" anna asked as soon as she saw Charlotte running away from Antonio. Alice also looked at him coldly. He turned and walked back. "no need. She seems to be a self-knowing girl. Just add the crown prince's visit in the letter we'll give to Aunt Clara later."

"Let Aunt Clara educate the boy" Alice added later. They accepted Queen el Vierum's invitation to accompany her to tea this morning. So, that opportunity Alice used to educate Antonio indirectly.
