"Are you going to let Crown Prince el Vierum just like that?" anna asked considering Alice was starting to open her heart to the young man. Alice's face returned murky. Her feelings came back bad to hear Anna ask that. Anna caught him as a sign of jealousy.
"Well, what did you expect?" Alice asked after quickly being able to control her emotions. Anna who was styling Alice's hair just fell silent.
"I'm not the antagonistic woman who is obsessed with her fiance like in novels," Alice continued. His straight hair was almost clean. Just put a beautiful bando decorated with flowers to give the final touch. "At the same time I don't really care about this engagement, just like An."
Anna tilted her head in disbelief. He paired the bando that Alice had chosen. Doubt was clearly etched in the generous smile of the lady. Rarely does Alice call Crown Prince el Vierum by his name. Especially with his little call.
The atmosphere in the dining room was ordinary. There were only two people at the dining table accompanied by a few servants who would serve both requests at any time. Alice had no spirit to talk about anything. His mind wandered through time into the future.
What is the fate of his engagement to Antonio? With his power in the Pearl Palace, would he claim the throne in the end? Does he have to compete for that useless chair that only puts weight on his shoulders?
Seeing Alice's gloomy face, Derrick tried to ask, "Is there anything bothering you, Alice?"
Alice soon awoke from her daydream. The food is getting colder. He had just devoured a bit of grilled meat cooked for him. The servants were worried that their lady would not like the food. However, they refrained from asking until they were called.
"It's nothing," Alice shook her head strongly. He immediately returned his food. It made Derrick sigh, "If there's a problem, just tell me. I'll try to take my time."
"Thank you, sister," Alice concluded her smile, "I'll come whenever I want."
Derrick did not say anything, but a look of relief on his face. Alice's reply showed that at least she did not hate her super busy sister at all. Derrick was grateful to see it. Then his premonition led him to Alice's engagement.
"Could it...?" Derrick wondered in his heart. He also told his servants to leave. With one wave of hands, in the dining room there were only two people left.
"I hope Antonio doesn't hurt or disappoint you" Derrick said later. The food is over. There is still a little time before work hours begin. "If he dares to do that, me and the Alverio family will not remain silent."
Alice did not react to Derrick's words. He continued his breakfast which was left a little. Her brother's hunch is right. Antonio deserves a penalty. But, as Alice said, she didn't care.
"Sister need not worry," Alice said after devouring her last bribe. "As I said yesterday, our relationship is going well."
"Is that really so?" Derrick furrowed his brows in doubt. He knew that in a planned engagement will not immediately grow love. Especially considering Alice's age is still so young. Maybe he hasn't had puberty yet.
Alice nodded small. He began to drink the juice. Then his eyes looked at Derrick who seemed like he was going to say something.
"Thank God then," Derrick said in such relief. However, he would have Grandpa James investigate Crown Prince el Vierum afterwards.

The city of Ilios, a week after the arrival of the kreebs
The arrow released by the guard shook the air at high speed aiming for the head of a kreebs.
"Damn! the wolf dodged again. How can they be that nimble," said the archery guard. In that fortress, he was the most good at arrows. The shot always hits the target until the kreebs arrive.
"How many arrows have you thrown away today?" the grumbling guard asked. There were many arrows stuck in front of the gate. No one will take it until the kreebs are gone for a while.
They don't want to take risks like they did a few days ago. The guards who fought the kreebs using spears and swords were quickly finished off by them.
The gate was closed tightly after that so that no one could get out of the city to work the land and hunt. The traders who usually stop by were not seen a single nose. Really ridiculous. It could be, this city will collapse just because of the siege of wild animals.
"Well how else? It seemed like the animals were not wolves could," the archer commented. He was tired of seeing his shots that continued to miss. He also joined the hunters who had been desperate.
"Hi, someone's coming" cried the grouch. His cry did not move anyone who sat languidly in the fortress. The refugees who came suddenly, the hunters who never returned, and the guards who died in vain because they did not know the ability of the opponent. Those problems continue to shadow them. The only thing they were grateful for was the existence of a sturdy and tall fortress.
The gongs of the kreebs sounded. The men of the fortress shut their ears and their eyes could not bear to witness the disappearance of the coming company.
Duars!!!
An explosion shocked the people in the fort. The grouch silently pecked in his place. His eyes were open and his mouth was open without a sound.
"Hi! What's going on?" panic the archer. He immediately got up to his friend. There was a fire burning high in front of the gate.
"I.. that..," the grouch stammered. He pointed at the billowing smoke. The archer and the hunters in the fortress held their breaths. A moment later, they gasped at the grouch's cry, "That's the power of the royal magician! I'm really lucky to see it."
The grouch chuckled loudly. The furious gurgles and growls of the kreebs were again heard muttering the impromptu guard. The sound of explosions was heard but not as big as before. The knights then followed. The people in the fortress breathed a sigh of relief hearing it. Help has come.
"They ran away, madam," reported a witch who was accompanying Nana. The blast magician girl gritted her teeth resoundingly. After this, they had to chase those Mage Tower-made monsters into the forest. Really troublesome.
"Welcome, Lord Knight, Miss Witch," Viscount Ilios welcomed Nana's entourage in. There are not many troops they bring. Marquis Van Denburg did not participate and was succeeded by his son, Leonius von Denburg who led a platoon of knights. On the side of the Witch Tower were five people.
"Ck! Why can't little animals like this just be dealt with?" asked Nana sarcastically. Viscount Ilios was trembling. He saw the explosion marks made by Nana still billowing behind him.
"Please, Miss," Viscount Ilios who was the old geezer knelt down and explained, "We've been trying to deal with it, but the animals are too fast and nimble until we're overwhelmed by it. We even heard that there were a few more villages affected by the terror."
"You.," Nana wanted to make fun of the lowly nobleman again, but Leonius stopped him first. "Quite Madam Magansei. We better ask after resting later. The troops are exhausted too."
"That's your fault for having to wear heavy armor," said Nan insensitively. Leonius was clenched but a smile was still etched on his face. If only he did not understand who the girl in front of him was, he would throw it into the forest to be a meal of wild animals.
