I Just Want to Be Friends

"Hah, thank goodness the king will accept our discovery" Nana said as soon as he came out of the palace observation center. Face's tangled. Last night he stayed up late to complete a project that had been planned for several months. This morning he took her to the palace.

"Right, Your Majesty seems satisfied with the results we gave" Charlotte said.

"After this we can take a vacation wherever we want" Nana stretched her body. The rest of Samalam's tired still befall him. Thankfully, there was no one around. Otherwise, the nobles who were against the Witch Tower would sneer at them.

"Can you get rid of that bad habit?" charlotte protest reminds. Although he did not uphold the honor of the nobility, he still had a strong noble blood. Etiquette was very influential to him.

"Make what? I'm not a noble anyway" Nana replied unconcernedly. Charlotte took a breath. There's nothing he can do about Nana's freak syndrome.

"At least pay attention to where we are," Charlotte advised, "You can do it in the tower because no one will care about it."

"Well, it's because your power is too great to be offended by another witch" Charlotte added inwardly.

"Ck! Then let me just keep it in my lab" Nana looked at Charlotte. Lately the child is talking more and more patronizing. If it was someone else, Nana would not have accepted it. I don't know why he feels okay if it's from Charlotte.

"You understand, don't you, brother?" charlotte asked to make sure her short lecture was well delivered to Nana. Her small hand held the tip of Nana's clothing arm. From there came a dim light that made the heart of anyone calm.

"Yes-yes, I will try," Nana replied flatly.

"Don't just talk," Charlotte puffed her cheeks. How could the barbarian number two magician be instantly trusted. "Son't have to prove it."

Nana just smiled wryly. The little girl had no idea how Nana's childhood was being bullied by nobles. Both of his parents were murdered. His house and village were burned. Just because of the repulsion of a village woman, the son of the noble lord of the region burned the land of Nana's birth.

Her grudge can't just be quenched. So he learned magic. He has to be stronger than anyone. When the time comes, he will avenge his long-swollen revenge.

"Against the Crown Prince and Crown Princess el Vierum" Charlotte said as soon as she saw Antonio and Alice coming out of the park. Both of them have just finished studying. It just so happens that they are poking around.

"Nana Magansei and Charlotte de Vool say hello" Nana continued. Alice's red eyes were burning. Although his face was flat and cold, those eyes were emitting hatred.

"Daughter, I apologize for what happened last time?" charlotte said make the most of this opportunity to befriend Alice. He secretly cast his magic. With that magic, even a powerful magician like Nana would not refuse her every request.

"What are you doing?" alice asked with a gripping cold. His red eyes were staring hard. His heart calls the power of God. He felt discomfort from his beautiful interlocutor.

Charlotte was obviously surprised even though she didn't show it. The magic just got canceled. His body even felt as hot as when he had last met the great crown princess.

As her eyes met Alice's red eyes, she felt like she was about to be cursed by the princess. His body suddenly shivered in fear. He hurriedly leaned over to not show his bad side and answered Alice's surfing questions as possible, "I apologize for past mistakes and hope to be your friend."

"Friends?" alice said without hiding her tone of rejection, "With such a self, how did you become my friend?"

Charlotte was surprised. Obviously, his friendship proposal was rejected. He doesn't understand. As the daughter of a count, it would not destroy the dignity of Crown Princess el Vierum in social circles. He should be worthy enough for a princess who doesn't even look at that status.

"What?" Nana looked at Alice sharply. His hatred for the nobility grew even greater before Alice. He was eager to use magic if only he did not know the consequences he would receive if he injured the weak crown princess.

"Alice, what are you saying?" the sound shocked everyone there. Antonio looked at Alice in disbelief. "He just wants to be friends with you."

"Huh? precisely why is His Majesty meddling in my affairs?" Alice was more distrustful of Antonio's reaction. Then Antonio looked a little different.

"Has she been exposed to the girl's magic? How disappointing!" Alice looked back at Charlotte. The witch girl still lowered her face in fear. Then he shifted his gaze to Nana who looked anxious and astonished.

"Don't think we don't know what the Witch Tower is doing" Alice said intimidatedly. Nana was shocked to hear that. A cold sweat wetted his face slowly. His face water is upset.

"I have nothing to do with you guys" Alice said passing by Nana and Charlotte, "Let me warn you, do nothing in this blessed land."

"Alice wait!" Antonio tried to stop his fiancee. The little girl was already some distance away from where she originally stood. Antonio also represented her in a polite apology. Without waiting for an answer, he immediately chased after Alice.

Charlotte immediately fell down to sit down when Alice perfectly left. His hands were still shaking violently. Her tears almost spilled so scared. If he did not have the dignity of a noble yet, he would have cried by now.

"Lottie, are you okay?" nana asked worriedly, she grabbed Charlotte's tiny hand and helped her stand up. "I told you the little girl was too arrogant. Don't get close to him."

Charlotte did not answer. He was still out of the palace. With his wise wits, he tried to find Selagan himself.

"What is less?"

"I'm a count's daughter."

"I just want to be friends."

"*I'm also a talented magician. I want to be the queen's personal witch in the future."

"Is it because I haven't made my debut so the princess doesn't know me."

"No! I heard, the princess is not even a problem to befriend the commoners in her palace."

"I'm sure it's no less clever than that ordinary girl. Then what?"

"Witch Tower*!?" Charlotte remembered Alice's words which were extremely horrified. The Pearl Palace had never received the Witch Tower. "What exactly does the Witch Tower do? There was no way that hatred was due to a ridiculous grudge in a generation that had passed."

Charlotte wanted to ask Nana. However, seeing his teaching brother was thinking so hard to make him undo the intention. He probably won't answer anyway.

There must be something big planned by the Witch Tower until the Pearl Palace strongly rejected it. Charlotte has to figure out the reason for it. As soon as he thought that, his mind came back organized and serious. He looked suspiciously at Nana.

" Balqis," called Charlotte in his heart, "Can you help me?"

"Of course, my little Lottie," answered Balqis subtly. The astral creature that contracted with Charlotte appeared in his eyes.
