"Sir Charles," called Charlotte in the middle of her trip down the Kaskas Forest, "Thanks to you, we can all still survive today."
"Hm? No," Sir Charles shook his head softly, "This is because Miss de Vool's magic is very helpful. You've been working hard this whole time."
Charlotte doesn't pay back. That word is true. All this time, he had worked hard to continue to drain mana so that no wild animals approached. That's why they don't have any great difficulties.
Actually, Charlotte wants to just leave alone from this forest. If only he himself, Balqis said he could get it out. However, he could not leave his friends. After all, if he himself were to come out of the forest, his family would definitely be increasingly exposed to problems. For now, he could only leave behind a trace of magic, hoping for a witch to find him, then lead them out of the forest.
"Are we going to stay here forever?"
"How long have we been stuck here?"
"Can we get out of the forest safely?"
Those pessimistic questions came back out of the children's pupils. It seemed, Charlotte's tranquilizing magic effect was about to run out again. They would roar and cry again until Charlotte forgot to cast her magic again.
"Mama, Papa, I want to go home …"
"I'm tired, I want a soft bed …"
"Tea, snack cake, meat .. I miss you guys …"
Such complaints often come out. It's still better than them panicking and doing nothing. Charlotte's magic effects can only affect children to that extent. The effect will decrease every day. So, if they could not get out or adapt, this group would have been a mess.
"We rest here" said Antonio.
"Your Majesty, when will we get outside the forest?" ask one of the students who began to doubt Antonio's leadership. The question was continued by other questions. Antonio felt depressed to hear it.
"Ka .. you ...," the crown prince ran out of words. Those demanding questions seemed to be even more terrifying than the tip of the spear that was held out on the battlefield. It felt like it would be impaled soon if it did not run away.
"Your Majesty, please strengthen us all," Charlotte patted Antonio on the shoulder as she cast a tranquilizing spell on him. Antonio is the leader of this group. If he falls, then their union will be broken. Even worse things will happen afterwards.
"Ah," Antonio was stunned for a moment to see Charlotte beside him. He swallowed, then nodded in agreement. "You're right. Thank you, Lottie."
"Hm," Charlotte also gave a short nod, happy to know the spell was useful.
The whole group fell silent. Their faces bowed, full of lethargy. I wanted to rebel, but something got in the way.
"?!" Charlotte flinched feeling the waves of mana around which suddenly became chaotic. He looked to the right and left in a panic. Due to the sudden change, he loses focus until his spell is broken.
"Mrs …! Pops …!" the cry of a girl cried out loud instantly. The fear that was initially controllable spread. Panic soon took hold around.
"Hi, guys," Charles who could still control himself tried to calm them down. He asked the students not to panic. However, his efforts ended in vain.
"A–what is this?" Charlotte was no less panicked than the others. He even became dazed and dizzy. The magic he had relied on all of a sudden could not be used because he could not concentrate. "What's really going on?"
"Oh, here you are apparently," a woman suddenly appeared from the ceiling of the forest. He landed smoothly in front of Charlotte, then hugged the Count de Vool's daughter. He looks so excited like a brother who has not seen his sister for years.
"Na–Nana ...," call Charlotte in a vibrating voice. He immediately returned the embrace of his protege. Her tears broke. He could finally feel relieved now. The problem is, the arrival of Nana does not make the situation improve, but instead makes Charles more dizzy.
"You're okay, right?" nana asked worriedly, "I'm so worried, you know?" You've been missing for almost ten days. I thought I wouldn't see you again."
Charlotte didn't reply to Nana's words. He cried loudly, sobbing in the arms of his protegee. The girl refused to hold herself back. He wants to let go of everything. Let all the grievances flow with the broken cries.
The first person Charles could work with was Antonio. It was fortunate that the prince was able to quickly come to his senses from his strictness. They also wait for the atmosphere msmbaik and recover first, bafu then ask Nana to show the way to the outside.
"Ah, right too," Nana seemed to remember something after being asked by Antonio and Charles. He picked Charlotte up, letting the girl sleep comfortably under his watch.
"What's up, Miss Witch?" Charles felt a bad feeling.
"I forgot the way out" Nana replied lightly. The girl even smiled silly as if she did not feel guilty at all. The only way here is to find Charlotte. As long as his goal was achieved, he would no longer need to think about anything else.
"What you–" Charles Nyaria just shocked. He almost gave up like everyone else.
"Just calm down" said Nana, cutting Charles's ucapa, "I have a way."
Nana raised her hand high. His mouth was muttering a mantra. A moment later, a large amount of mana flowed from his hand, piercing upwards, forming a pillar.
"The witches are coming soon" said Nana confidently, "Wait here patiently."
