"He's coming, approaching the planet, Jack Grayson."
He gasped.
Throat's choked.
The feeling came again. The look in his eyes described an incredible pain within.
After nearly an hour, he finally knew where this conversation was headed.
No more. Don't again.
His heart was racing, but not in love. Butterflies fly freely in their stomachs, not in love. His breathing was hunting until his lungs were congested, not in love either.
All those memories that never brought themselves to the surface, finally showed themselves again. Everything is clearly remembered.
His heart had been wrapped with trust, he gave it to the girl with confidence.
With a smile, he said inwardly, 'All will be fine.'
'He is the only one.'
'I finally found my destination, right there. Of maniknya.'
'We'll be fine, I'm sure.'
But who would have thought, was the one who smashed the man to pieces.
The girl cut the man's heart so much that it formed a word, 'I hate you' as a wound.
The man smiled.
Her tears were dripping, but she was still smiling. He looked at her as if to say, "What a princess, so long as you're happy. Say to me again."
It's not important to him about his happiness at all. The girl's smile was enough, it wasn't important for her to know more about her heart condition.
Still beating or not?
The girl made him ignore her heart, buried her deeply. Standing near his own tombstone, smilingly saw the girl smiling.
Her ears were too deaf to hear the moans of her heart, but too sensitive to the girl's heartbeat.
Even if he turned into a grim reaper who pierced his stomach, the man would still stare at his maniac, then smile. "I found my home, in you. It's okay.Kill me a hundred times, just so I can hear your heartbeat closer."
Hundreds of bodies were lying everywhere.
The emptiness and silence that speaks loudest, whimpers.
Jack looked at the angel of death. "Don't you do this to them" his hand reached for the girl floating in the air, becoming a full angel of death.
His gray bead tore the man's heart apart for the umpteenth time. The girl looked down, staring at the man sharply.
"In exchange, kill me again, and again, all your life, but not them." Jack smiled. His heart screamed, but he shut it down. "Come here Claire."
The girl put her foot on the ground. The destruction stopped instantly.
Her tears are dripping. He does not deserve that man. "After that I'll go." he smiled. A torturous smile. "I love you." she said softly.
Both corners of the man's lips lifted up, he stared fixedly at the girl for the last time.
Then he stepped forward, looking at the girl's smile as if he had given her a new heart, *'Bless always' *he said in his heart. "Do Claire." Eyes closed. Delighted, the smile was shadowed in the darkness of the subconscious, 'He was happy.' An absolute sentence was on his mind. Unknowingly, his smile was blotting out.
He surrendered himself.
With that, the Earth is not completely destroyed.
"Jack Grayson? What's wrong with you?" The professor faded his reverie.
The man trembled, his throat choked. His eyes glared at the empty wall. Like finding his weak point, he clenched his palm. Holding something in it that whimpers in pain rained down on memory.
"No." she said softly, "look for someone else."
He refused to be confronted with such things. Suffices already. Pl-please...
The professor dodged, "E-eh? Don't refuse please, I haven't even explained"
"I already know.." Jack let out a tired sigh, "you want to ask me to do rescue work, a mission for the country, whatever it is. I don't want to."
Say he's a coward as hard as he can be, but he won't care.
The professor in front of him lowered his head, somehow this man in front of him knew of such (suicide) missions. Clearly, he saw clearly the trembling body of the man earlier, his blank stare hinting at the extreme pain, such as having been involved in a mission and nearly being killed.
He also cannot force. But... "Whatever you've experienced before, may tear you down" the professor looked at the man before him, "but a second chance exists to reach you, leaving the abyss forever."
"All the choices are in your hands." The professor said softly, slowly he stood up and went out of the room heavily. Then he beckoned the other two professors, and the guards to leave.
Leaving Jack alone in that dark room.
Leave his heart and mind to argue to reach a decision that will not be regretted later.
"Second chance..What kind of thing can guarantee everything?" he murmured quietly, almost inaudible.
He shuffled his hair in frustration.
