AGENT: The Agent of Mutants

AGENT: The Agent of Mutants
43. AOM West Side's

Meanwhile, Zav and Val..

[Author’s POV]

Zav and Valerie have arrived in western AOM. Indeed, so far everything has gone according to plan, without any obstacles.

But the man next to the man who had a constraint. He was just being quiet.

“You won't be able to lie to me.” Said Zav the umpteenth time.

Val avoids his gaze, which makes Zav sure there must be something serious. Zav had asked what was going on from the beginning, because Val's face was really moody, not what it used to be. But still, he didn't want to tell Zav.

They were walking from the parking lot to enter the AOM West building.

Zav breathed. “Since when have you been this stone hiding something from me, Val?” he whispered, before the guards realized their presence.

There were two guards in front of the magnificent lobby, they were in all-white uniforms, just like the white-dominated Western AOM gedug. Can be said, the West AOM building is an elite building owned by AOM America. All the walls in the form of glass, when entering, it is certain that the hologram scene in each room will be everywhere. The guard inside the building was already overcome with an army of robots. Not human anymore. So that infiltration never happened here. The Meetings. No gap.

The two human guards had two pistols in the back pocket of their white coats. Without waiting for long, they bowed 90 degrees at Val and Zav.

After that, one of the guards turned on his earzoom, “Team core already came.” Whisper on his earzoom. After it got confirmation, he nodded at the other guard.

Understanding that, the other guard took out a white object from his pocket. It has a black button. Then he pressed it. “Laser protection is disabled.”

One of the guards who had just reported, looked at Zav with a warm smile.

“Welcome back, please enter.”

Zav smile back, “Thank you.” He said, then grabbed Valerie's hand and took her in.

They walked side by side entering the lobby. Upon entering, their attention was immediately drawn to the blue light holograms were in every corner of the room, flying drones, facilities complete with objects that Valerie had never seen before, the unfamiliar design and visuals made Val gawk. “Technology here is cheating once! Here the technology is much more powerful than in other AOM.” said Val amazed.

Zav laughs, “Thanks.”

Val turned his head for a moment, he knitted his brows. “Year you have aja.” He said then walked first, leaving Zav behind.

Zav secretly chuckles.

Shortly after, one of the female robots approached Zav. The robot was wearing the same uniform as the guards outside earlier, it can be concluded that he was the guard of the inside of the lobby. “Do I need to tell the professor that you have arrived, sir?” said the female robot without any experimentation.

“Not necessary. The guard in front had told him,” said Zav a little whisper, so that Val does not look back, “and do not call me ‘tuan’ when he is here.” Zav pointed at Valerie. A split second later, the robot nodded in understanding.

During this time Valerie and her friends did not know that Zav Piere was the owner of the West AOM building.

That is one of the reasons why Brian Alejandro recruited Zav. To make the connection wider, and their access becomes easier.

Zav quickly catches up with Val, so they can go hand in hand again. “You remember not, the first time we met here?” Zav asked trying to melt the atmosphere.

Zav and Valerie met at AOM West America four years ago, just as Mr. Brian was gathering members for the core team of Agent of Mutants. At the time, Kimberly had not been recruited.

Back then, the core Agent of Mutant members were only Valerie, Rylan, Jack, and Ruby. Then they and Brian came to America to recruit Zav. Core team recruits are considered from recommendations of all AOM branches worldwide.

And the leader of all AOMs is Brian Alejandro, he recruits the best of the best, and come to think of it, this secret institution is indeed closed off from the public, but actually their range is wider than imagined. Very spacious. That was why they, as core team members, were made up of people from different countries.

“Remember no… ? No tuh. I forgot the memory, nih.” Val stared at Zav with a puzzled look, “I’m sorry, who are you tho?”

Zav chuckled, feeling a little relieved Val could already joke again. Zav brings his face closer to Val, ”I’m your lover, baby.”

Valerie's cheeks flushed for a moment. He turned his face the other way. “Ck, come fast!” he said then walked back in front, “tuh right, every time I can joke, he always teases me!” his murmur which was still heard by Zav, made the man chuckle amusedly.

After passing through the endless glass rooms, the two of them ended up on the fourth floor. Unlike the previous floors filled with robots as workers and flying drones, this floor contains humans.

Yes, ordinary people.

“Because on this floor there is no lab, storage of technology assets is also not here, there are only ordinary rooms for humans. Hence no need for strict guard.” Clearly Zav, as if understanding Valerie's confusion.

Val nodded his head understandingly, “You know a lot about AOM building here.”

“Ahaha.. yes, I was recruited here.” Zav said he tried not to sound nervous.

Zav stopped his steps. “We're here.”

Val furrowed his brows in confusion. The thing is, in front of them right now, there's nothing. It's a completely empty place. The whole floor is made of white marble, clean, absolutely nothing.

“Mana? There's nothing here.”

“What? Is there another laser?? Who the hell makes a lot of care like this? Later if my body is chopped into five parts, how?” grunts Val.

Zav grinned, Valerie's guess completely wrong. “That room is in front of us exactly.” Said, which of course made Val glare looking forward carefully, but still nothing.

Zav pressed the black button on the object, then in an instant, a very spacious and luxurious room appeared, the wall was made of glass that looked black from the outside.

“A-there's room?” Val looks shocked by the room that suddenly just appears.

“This room is transparent until I press the access button. Yuk, login.” Said Zav then walked first towards the door which is also made of glass as well, to enter the login password.

Val narrowed his eyes, looking at Zav suspiciously. “You are.. can-“.

“Come, login.” Said Zav with a smile, all of you diverting Val from the question he did not want.

The two of them entered the room, at first, the room felt quiet, like there was no one. The facilities in this room also do not look like AOM building whose trademark is technology, in fact, the room looks like a luxurious hotel room.

Val starts to get suspicious, but he keeps trying to think positively. Suddenly Zav clasped his hand, then took Val through a bed.

“Zav...” call Val in doubt, “I don't..”

When the man turned his head, he was shocked to see that Val's cheeks had turned red, his face like he wanted to say something.

Not wearing for long, of course Zav understood what he meant. He laughed loudly, “Hahahaha! Shit, she’s so cute. No babe, I didn’t mean to. you can calm down.” He said while laughing.

Both cheeks Val getting flushed, “Ck! Y-you surprised me!” val was upset.

Zav pinched the woman's cheek.

“Where she is then?” Ask Val.

Zav took her back to a door. “Hopefully she don’t make me upset.” He said and opened the door.

A woman was sitting on the sofa. He sipped his tea quietly.

His always calm song is what pisses Zav the most.

“Wahh, you guys have come apparently!” said the woman.

Secretly, Val sighed lazily.

Yep! The woman was the one that Val was lazy to meet as well.

“Ah, come on, Val! You're grumbling like that to me? You know ‘kan I can also know?” said the woman with a sneer.

Val stopped talking in his heart, he bit his lower lip to hold back his emotions.

It is true, the woman can read minds.

“How was your trip?” The woman got up from the sofa, she walked and approached Valerie, “So far... is it smooth?” the whisper was right in Val's ear.

Valerie froze in place. He hated it the most if he had approached like this, as if his survival instinct had faded away. This woman makes anyone around her feel like they have no life expectancy.

Only with the existence of the woman could one feel suffocated.

“S-all... smoothly.” Answer Val stamped.

The woman grinned, “Good..my obedient dogs.” Whispers slowly.

Zav clenched his hands, he started to growl.

The woman glanced at Zav's fist, “Oh! This dog also does not like me like.” he said, then he brought his face closer to Zav. “Remember... you guys need me. then... be a obedient dog.” Whisper the woman while rubbing Zav's face gently.

He grins. “Oh! Please sit! Let's talk about our next plan before Claire comes.”

Wrongfully.

One thing that the woman did not know.

Behind that depressed look, they had planned the opposite.
