The Untold Story of Tiberias
Monkey Monster

“This place looks safe,” commented Neil as the three walked through the forest.

“Padahal said you were a mercenary. But your instincts are very weak. Can't you feel the pressure of the heavier energy in this place? The powerful creatures gathered in the forest,” reproach Aerin while tightly grasping his dagger.

Neil snorted. “Of course I know. But for me, the power of those monsters is not at all threatening,” he said with a hanging grin.

Aerin back to squealing. “Argentine base,” murmured slowly.

I don't know since when the two men became hostile to each other. Neil made his attitude clear that he did not agree Aerin to be part of the entourage. On the other hand, Aerin also has no other destination. However, since from the beginning, the trip was Nick's, while the other two people just kept following him, then no one could protest against each other's presence. Nick himself did not mind anyone who wanted to follow him. His life has always been lonely. Therefore, getting a traveling companion does not feel bad either.

After walking for a while splitting the forest, the sun finally completely set. The forest is now completely dark. Even so, Nick did not lose his way at all. The forest was like a home to him. However, when it was dark, that was when a greater danger awaited them.

The three walked more cautiously. Something was lurking behind the darkness. All were aware of the threat and prepared with their own weapons. Just wait for the time until the hungry monsters ambush them.

Just as they were right in the heart of the forest, the sound of rustling leaves instantly rang out all around, as if there were many creatures ambushing them. Nick and Neil draw their swords. Aerin prepared with two daggers in hand. Elf dagger, which shimmered bluishly as a result of magic energy manifesting into light.

In the next instant, a dozen golden-feathered ape monsters leapt furiously towards them. The apes are twice as big as they should be. With a boisterous roar, the fiery red-eyed apes attacked Nick's entourage.

Their claws were very sharp, and their movements were agile. Amidst the darkness, Nick, Neil and Aerin could not recklessly slash freely due to the trees growing tightly around them. In the end, for some time, they became the moons of a herd of monkey monsters.

Nick's entire body was torn apart by the sharp fingernails of gold feather work. The young man still had to swing his sword while protecting Aerin who was not too eloquent in fighting. In the midst of the desperate conditions, Aerin suddenly called for something in the language of the elves that Nick could vaguely understand.

“Jiak urdan lat ve dajo my liwo. Pulgoruz bliss!” aerin exclaimed as he clenched his two hands in front of his chest.

Instantly a bright blue light burst forth in the area, covering an area of ten feet. The light that suddenly appeared surprised the herd of ape monsters that invaded them. Dozens of monsters then shouted in a shrill voice and fled, leaving the bodies of some of their dead friends slashed by the swords of Nick and Neil.

The light magic that Aerin casted lasted for a few minutes. Nick and Neil's bodies were covered in scratches that, though not very deep, were quite numerous.

“They are endless,” Neil's comment slightly stung. “Your ability can too, Elf,” he added while turning towards Aerin.

The elf girl just snorted softly.

“You protect me more, Nick,” said Aerin smiled. “So, I can now be considered for this team, right?” he turned to Neil.

Neil shrugged his shoulders in passing. “Well, not bad,” he replied grimacingly.

Aerin smiled back. “Here, let me heal your wounds,” he said as he approached Nick.

Aerin again cupped his hands together while reciting the spell with the language of the elves. Now a golden glow surrounded his palm which he then pointed at Nick. A warm sensation was felt on the young man's skin as the golden light began to creep up. In just a few seconds, all of his injuries were covered up, leaving no marks at all. The same thing Aerin did to Neil.

After completing the healing, the three men decided to rest over dinner. They lit a bonfire and started cooking the meat of the monster they had just killed.

The next morning, they continued their journey. Three days and three nights they walked tirelessly. Some other monsters had blocked their journey. But everything was handled well. Until finally, the large mountain where Calada lived was already visible in the distance.

Missing to greet Nick's heart. But he hasn't left that place in a year. But it feels like a long time ago. That place hasn't changed much either. Nick really can't wait to meet the new mom who raised him.

“Energi in this place has a much different level than out there. There are not many monsters hanging around here. So we're really going to meet the only dragon still living in this world?” neil looked gasp at the towering high mountain, where Calada the last dragon lived.

Nick smiled longingly. “Mom may already know our arrival. He will welcome us well,” said the young man as he stepped forward. Both of his friends followed behind.

“I've never met a dragon, but my father and grandfather have. Since long ago the dragons usually lived separately from other races. But once in a while they interacted with the elves to make magic transactions,” bright Aerin was no less amazed to feel the incredible dragon magic energy.

“The elves live longer than humans. Even so, the era of the dragons had already passed since hundreds of years ago. Your father and grandfather must have lived a long life,” Neil responded.

“My father is almost five hundred years old. My grandfather must have been older, but he had already gone to the place of light. I only met him when I was a kid first,” Aerin's story later.

Neil nodded in understanding. “By the way, how old are you Aerin?” tanyanya.

Aerin seemed to think for a moment. “Still young. I'm the fifth child, and my four brothers are much older than me. If I count it now, maybe I'm about a hundred ... twenty-three? Well, as wild as it is,” replied the elf girl then.

Neil put on an expression of surprise that was not made up. He gaped as soon as he heard Aerin's unexpected answer. Meanwhile, Nick just glanced at his friends while holding an amused laugh. Aerin seemed unperturbed by it.
