The Untold Story of Tiberias
Elf Girl

The room is semi-circular with a wooden stage in front. The lighting is dim, because the light of the lamp only highlights towards the stage. The stepped seating around the stage in a circular position.

Neil took Nick to sit in the back row. From there he could see the stage. An auctioneer spoke to the audience from behind the podium. The man was wearing a mask that only covered his eyes. Black cat mask. With a matching colored suit, he invited the people in the place to throw prices at each other on a skinny and seedy male slave.

The slave was standing in the middle of the stage with his head bowed. Her hair was long and messy, covering her entire face. His legs and hands were tied with a pouted iron chain. Two other burly officers flanked the slave while keeping him from escaping.

“Thousand pieces of silver!” exclaimed a woman in an open blue dress on the chest. The woman also wore a mask, but Nick could tell right away that the woman was from among the rich. Her clothes look expensive and her appearance is also very elegant. The woman held up a circle-shaped board that read the seat number. The same board as the one on top of Nick's current seat.

Nick just found out the function of the number board. Apparently, it was used to bid the price. His hand reads fifty-two.

“Thousand silvers! Anyone want to price more?” asked the auctioneer with a small hammer in hand.

Ten seconds passed and no one else tried to bid. The officer punched his hammer on the podium while announcing the winner of the auction for the shabby young man. The boy was dragged through the door under the stage. The woman who won the auction cheered happily. He and two of his guards immediately withdrew and walked into a door that was nearby.

“Now, the wait-for-waiting has finally arrived. A rare creature that became the highlight of this event. Greet, elf tribe girl!” exclaimed the officer as he spread his hand towards the red curtain backstage.

The curtain opened slowly, showing the figure of the elven girl Nick had seen. The girl was still sitting in a square-shaped iron cage. His hands and feet were bound by iron chains. He did nothing but stare intently at the audience. There was no doubt or fear in his eyes.

Nick's stunned. This was the first time he had met an efl. There was an uneasy feeling in his heart that made Nick feel like helping the girl. This place is really cruel. They should not trade for living beings such as humans or elves.

“We will open the price in twenty gold pieces! Will anyone bid more?” ask the auctioneer.

Almost the entire audience raised their respective number boards. Nick and Neil had no interest in doing so. The two of them were simply observing the people throwing each other a higher price.

At first, everything seemed to be going well. But then, Nick began to observe the elf girl removing a small needle from behind her sleeve. While pretending to stare at the audience, the girl started fiddling with the chains that bound her hands.

Nick just watched in silence. The girl looked a little tense now. Still, he made sure that no one realized he was trying to be free. Until finally, a while later, the two elves' hands were completely detached from the shackles. In the second that the shackles came off, the elf immediately launched her first magic to destroy the iron cage that locked her up.

The sound of a huge explosion occurred on the stage. All the auction participants immediately screamed in shock and began to run out in panic. The officers immediately took over the situation. The burly people appeared from behind the stage and started trying to recapture the elf.

“Let's go,” take Neil later.

“Do not get involved. You could get in trouble if you get into this mess. We better avoid.” Neil continued to agree.

“No. I'll save the girl,” said Nick insisted. The young man then stood up and pulled out his long sword which was sheathed behind his back.

Neil could only sigh tiredly looking at Nick who had already darted towards the stage. The elf girl was being pushed. He was attacked by about eight gunmen. His magic had not returned in perfect order because it had been tied up for too long with shackles smashed to be able to withstand the magic power.

In the middle of the fight, the elf girl was caught. A burly man hugged him so he could not move. The other man again tied the elf with magic shackles, but Nick stormed the man and smashed the shackles with his sword.

The entire guard was shocked to see Nick's sudden appearance. Even so they immediately attacked Nick with a machete in each hand. Nick easily brushed off all attacks to break the goals. With his agility, Nick managed to subvert all the guards until they all fell unconscious.

Nick turns around and looks for the elf girl he saved. But the girl disappeared. He was no longer on the stage, instead of running down the backseat. Nick didn't try to catch up to him. He let the girl escape, hoping that no one would catch her again.

“Quick! We have to get out of here before the auction owner sees us!” neil was near Nick. The man then dragged Nick out of the auction through another door that was not guarded too tightly.

They walked down the hall, until the long stairs up to a building with a luxurious interior like a hall of noble residence. There were only a few people who saw them pass by. But those people seem to think that Nick and Neil are regular auction guests. They continued walking through the hall until they finally made it out.

The sun was still rising as Nick exited the auction house. Apparently the front door of the place penetrated into the town square. The auction building was quite large and magnificent, like an expensive theater for the rich.

Neil continued to drag Nick away from the center of the crowd. They only stopped when they finally reached the border forest of the city.

“Why do we have to escape?” nick asked after Neil removed his hand from Nick's wrist.

“Are you crazy? You just messed up the auction by freeing an elf. It was the rarest item at the auction. The owner of the auction was the Duke lord of the city of Linden. You're really in trouble now. Better we leave this city soon,” said Neil looked tense.

“Can't I just fight it? The auction house was not supposed to be operating. How could they trade for humans and elves as slaves?” sergeant Nick is angry.

“You won't be able to fight that Duke alone. He's got thousands of knights working for him. In addition, the Duke also cooperated with the black magician. If you can handle this territory, the kingdom will start hunting you. That means more great powers that will threaten your life. Nnnnope. You can't do that,” Neil's cerocos at length.
