THE STRUGGLE OF A WIDOW
MINOR INJURY

Rayan grabs Ayana's hand and leads her to sit in her car seat. Ayana refused by pulling her hand out of Rayan's grasp.

“ Sorry sir.. I have to go inside.. I can be fired if I leave my job at work. ” Reject Ayana politely and turn the intention body back into the restaurant

“ But your hand is hurt miss. Look at that, the blood is still flowing. The wound can be infected if it is left alone. ” Said Rayan restraining Ayana

Ayana did feel her fingers quite sore because of the cut

“ This is just a small wound, later it will also heal. ” Reply Ayana nervously then run small leaving the parking lot towards the restaurant

Rayan stared at Ayana's departure in silence. Long enough he stood leaning on his car. He decided to get in the car and get out of there.

Arriving inside the restaurant, Ayana again trembled to see the restaurant manager walking towards her

His steps slowed as the manager approached.

“ Follow me. ” Said Saka the flat manager then walked towards his room

Ayana closed her eyes with an increasingly erratic feeling.

“ Allahumma rahikaka arjuu fala takilnii ilaa nafsii tharfata `aynin, ashlih li sya`nii kullahu, laa ilaaha ilaa anta.

Means: O Allah, only Thy mercy I hope. Then do not leave me to myself in the blink of an eye, and fix my affairs entirely. "

Ayana's prayer was solemn in the heart.

Ayana took a deep breath and exhaled slowly then walked in Saka's footsteps.

Arriving in the room, Saka told Ayana to sit in the front seat of her desk.

While he himself was just standing next to Ayana with both hands in his pants pocket.

“ Ayana.. You know what your mistake was..? ” Tanya Saka with flat

Ayana lowered her head and nodded slowly.

“ I won't ask much more. Since it was clear what your mistake was today.for that, I decided to cut your salary this month. ” Say Saka firmly

Ayana closed her eyes trying hard.

Inevitably he had to sincerely cut his salary because it replaced all dishes that were broken due to his carelessness.

Ayana is still grateful not to be fired from her job because of unpleasant events in visitors resroran.

He was also grateful that Rayan did not make it difficult for him in front of his manager

“ Please come out and continue your work. ” Saka command points at exit

“Thank you sir.. Sorry for today, I'm sorry. ” Saying Ayana politely in Anguki Saka

Because many of them are still in college, restaurant owners provide policies for two work shifts for all employees.

But not for Ayana. He applied for two shifts because he really needed money for his family, especially for the treatment of his son

Today, Ayana is the backbone of the family. His mother, who was old, could no longer work. His father has been gone for a long time.

Ayana is ready to go home. Today he was not allowed by his manager to overtime as usual because of the incident last afternoon.

“ Ana.. You want to go back..? ” Tanya Susi, Ayana's coworker, crosses paths at the restaurant gate when Susi just arrived to enter shift 2

Susi is Ayana's best friend since they worked together at the same restaurant. In contrast to Ayana, Susi is a nomad child who also studied in the city where Ayana is located.

Susi's chatty and joking carvings can make Ayana entertained and for a moment can reduce her fatigue because it gets free entertainment

“ Ayana Susi is not Ana.. ” Reply Ayana is anxious at her best friend who always changes her name as she pleases

“ Yes Yes.. You don't grow overtime..? usually you are not enough to just one shift.. ” Ask Susi curious

“ This afternoon Yuki schedule check up. ” her answer is lying

“ Oh that. Yasudah, I want to..? ” Susi offers

“ Don't work, we need to go to work.. The time is already here even truant..? ”

Reject Ayana in a panic as she does not really invite her son Yuki to check up for the doctor because of her schedule of two more days

He doesn't want his best friend to know if he's on a work suspension by his manager

“ Nothing.. I can get permission.. " Respond Susi reassuredly

“ Don't need.. Later if I need help, I call you.. ” Say Ayana smile

“ Mmm, Yes.. This is my bike, it's okay.. ” Fresh Susi sincere

“ Uh no need Susi.. I can ride the angkot anyway you come home late at night, difficult to get public transportation.. ” Reject Ayana

“ Mmm, yes.. You be careful yeah.. Daahhh I'm in first.. ” Say Susi pamit

Ayana nodded. He kept looking at his best friend's back until it was gone from his sight.

She smiled in gratitude, for having a friend like Susi who cared so much for her.
