Ch. 67 - Barren
If the devil has mastered a place, then no more beautiful things can be found. The sun will be completely covered by dense black clouds and white fog that add to the impression of misery and suffering.
Fertile soil no longer grows flowers and plants are worthy of consumption, the only thing that grows is rotten flowers that are often called carrion flowers. The nickname certainly comes from its very foul smell like the smell of the carcasses of animals that have died in eating maggots.
No doubt because such circumstances make the creatures that live on the land of Neverland work hand in hand to defeat the Demon clan and drive them back to where they should be.
Yep.. This war has been going on for hundreds of years now. If not for the help of a Goddess then this land was already completely overpowered by the demons.
No one knows yet what the true motives of the demons left Darksideland and invaded the land of Neverland inhabited by various races. To be sure, the attack after attack carried out by the demon clan had already brought a lot of misery on this land.
The same thing is clearly illustrated by the appearance of the easternmost island in the kingdom of Nusantara, namely the island of Irian.

As the night begins to darken and the moon begins to emit its rays, even the bright moon can still be seen even though it is faint because of the dense clouds that cover the sky at night.
The sound of waves is heard continuously from the direction of the sea, becoming a complement to the moonlight tonight. At least it broke the silence of the night on the beach to the forest full of coconut trees not far from the beach on the island of Irian.
In the forest filled with coconut trees, two people were seen contemplating while staring at the bonfire they made to warm themselves from the night wind from the sea.
It can be said that the two of them are lucky people because they can escape the massacre that occurred when the fortress ampt was taken over by the army of the demon clan.
The two of them were Lucio and Ilume.
Knights and witches left over from the kingdom of Norway. They both managed to hide all this time from the demon clan troops, especially when Lucifer saw the figure. Right now his premonition was stating for them to run away from having to fight back.
And that premonition was right, if Lucio did not run away carrying Ilume maybe the two of them were also dead or worse, became one of the undead troops of the demon clan.

"Ilumei.. You better eat." Lusio gave her a bowl of coconut shell mushroom soup.
Ilume stared blankly, not even poking at him. He is still mourning the death of two of his closest friends, Igor and Lutor who died in the fight to defend the fortress ampt.
"If I can find some wooden tree trunks tomorrow, maybe I can finish the boat in 3 days and we can cross this sea." Said Lucio eating his food.
Again, Ilume was still silently staring at the fire. His mind has not accepted defeat. He still thinks about it.. Thinking of Lutor's death and he couldn't do anything about it.
"That moment.. If only you hadn't taken me away and just let me die." Suddenly, full of despair.
Lucio stopped eating his food for a moment, he looked towards Ilume. "That's the order of Lord Lutor, I can't dodge."
"I saw Lutor dying before my eyes.. I let him die." Ilume started to shed tears.
"Mrs Ilume.. Our opponent is a very powerful demon. You or I can't do anything." Lucio.
Not only this time did Ilume complain about what had happened at least every night for sure he always said the same thing. As for Lucio, he was only thinking about how they could leave this island.
In front of the same month, it's just that the moon in this place looks very bright and perfectly circular. It was beautiful from under the balcony of the Celestial royal palace.
Along with the moon, small lights from flickering stars are also seen adorning the night sky. What a very different view of what is seen on the island of Sirian.
On the balcony stood a woman, while from inside the balcony room. There are several beds where one of them is filled by a man who is still unconscious since the first time they were in this place.
The man was Arthur the holy knight with the title of lux and on the balcony was Diana the holy knight with the title of Aqua.
It has been 3 days since they were in the Celestial kingdom and since then Arthur has not consciously also remembered in the fight against Rever, Arthur was the most battered and almost died.
If not for Snijder Stollen, the great knight as well as the strongest knight in the Celestial kingdom coming to their place, perhaps the holy knights were already dead by now.
Can not be denied if their development during these 4 months is not enough to fight strong demons in the class of 6 big sins. It took more than just 4 months of practice for all of them to reach the peak of their highest strength.
Being in a different room from where Arthur was lying, Smits is seen practicing using a wooden spear to train his physique. He was annoyed with himself for being able to be easily defeated by the Rever even with just a few punches and attacks.

Snijder was not the first time he faced Rever, at least he has fought Rever several times including in the big war 15 years ago and 5 years ago and the last is 3 days ago.
As a great knight, of course he had considerable strength but unfortunately not big enough to defeat the entire demon army that invaded various places in the land of Neverland.
Even in the eyes of the demon king, Snijder Stollen's strength as a great knight was only considered a small bully and meant nothing.
Therefore, it needed a great power to completely defeat the Demon clan. The power of the natural enemy of the devil is none other than the power of the gods and the person who currently has the power of the gods in him is the holy knights.
That is why the presence of holy knights is very necessary even if the promised day does not come. The day that the strongest holy knight would appear and defeat the demon lord, the reason for several generations was that none of the holy knights had managed to defeat the demon lord.
