In one of the research buildings of the Hogward school of magic, not far from the research building occupied by Aliyah and Oana.
There is more than one research building at Hogward's school of magic. The reason was simple, as there were many talented magic researchers living and settling in the town of Lockdown. All the complete facilities were built for the benefit of Lockdown itself, so it was only natural that the city authorities would build facilities such as a magic research building.
In one of the buildings, an old man walked quickly. Glancing to the right and to the left. Behind him followed two other men who were dressed the same as the old man.
The three of them looked towards the white-colored building. Not terraced, looks like an old building compared to other buildings.
Three steps before they reached the door of the old building. Suddenly the door opened. The three men who saw the black-robed figure exited the building were not surprised. They seem to know who that man is. "Saint Jose." One of the three greeted.
"Commrades.. And Professor Asking." The man greeted, bowed politely.
"Saint Jose, how is it? Is it ready?" Professor Asking stared with a serious face, hoping that everything he would do today would go according to plan.
"Of course Professor, we just need protons to start everything." Straight Saint Jose, he smiled in satisfaction.
Professor Asking raised his right hand forward and showed Saint Jose the proton he had taken just a moment ago in the storage room not far from where they were today.
"So, how's Professor? Did you manage to convince Aliyah?"
"It's a pity, you know for yourself how stubborn that woman is." Professor Asking answered flatly, then continued on with Saint Jose who asked him. "Ah.. Too bad. She is a talented woman." Say it again. The four of them entered the building.
Not far from the old building.
In another building, it is still housed in the Hogward school research complex.
Aliyah lay unconscious after she suddenly fainted. Currently he was lying on a soft sofa that was in the magic tool storage room. The place where Aliyah should be helping Oana.
Oana was pensive, she did not know where the magic tool she was looking for was. It had been a few hours since he had searched for a magic tool that could find that person. The one he sought for the will of the great wizard was none other than his teacher, who else if not the knight Ignis.
Oana was caught up in the bad thoughts and feelings she had been feeling since the first time she had entered this city. He felt foreign. He also felt a danger that he could not explain in words.
Oana sat on a chair in front of which was a table. He sat down and spread out his head with both hands that he had folded on the table. He closed his eyes since. Although his eyes were closed, but his mind was still active. Thinking about the disturbing things from the beginning he arrived in this city.
The sound of movement woke Oana up, she glanced towards Aliyah who was currently moving from the sofa. Looking at Aliyah who had been sober like that, Oana rushed over and held onto Aliyah's arm which was still staggering. "Mrs Aliyah, how are you? Are you okay?"
Aliyah glanced at Oana and retorted. "Oana, what's going on? Did I faint?" Aliyah was confused with herself, the reason was not the first time she experienced this.
Not without reason Aliyah was confused with herself. He has not had any disease all this time. Even since he fainted for jewel times, he had already checked his condition into a medical witch and the result was that he was not ill.
What makes Aliyah more confused is the dream that always comes when she falls unconscious. The dream was a very bad dream, he saw his homeland ravaged and destroyed. He also saw his friend die. This senseless dream he never took seriously. For him it was only a dream as a sign if he missed his home, friend and homeland.
"So again.." Aliyah held her head. He looks tired. "Well.." Aliyah looked at the window, she was quite surprised to see the blue sky "It's morning!" His words were so surprised.
"Why did I faint?" Aliyah saw Oana panicking.
"Eh, a couple of hours. I'm not sure Madam, it seems like it's long enough because it's late afternoon now."
"What's? Afternoon?" Aliyah rushed over, she got up after gathering some energy for a while. He walked quickly outside the room. "Oana sorry, I have something to do now. I'll help you after this." He said and closed the door of the room.
He walked down the hallway of the building. Towards the stairs to the ground floor. He was anxious after a while ago to remember what happened last night. At the time he had an argument with Professor Asking about the use of protons.
"Wine.. I don't feel good about this." He said please worry.
There was no time for Aliyah to think of the dream that kept coming at her as she fainted. He was too busy thinking about his findings along with other magic researchers. As of this moment for example, he was really worried about the plan of Professor Asking and Saint Jose using protons to create a magic tool that could open a dimensional portal.
And then, somewhere else. Outside the town of Lockdown. No more faces of sadness and sadness. Not enough a day, the joy of the asylum seekers back. After they had all gone through the gripping night due to the attack of the demon clan.
The stringed music, dancing and chants chanted by asylum seekers around the city broke the deadlock. They seemed to be having fun as if they had never gone through a night of slaughter. They forget the heartbreaking story, forget about losing their loved ones and have fun without burden. They're all rejoicing.
The food of the party was very much. It was enough for all of them to survive the night of the recent attack.
There are two things that underlie this party happening. First because they all get food aid and other necessities directly from the magic chancellor. Second because today, one of the nope among them has been chosen as the lucky person who will enter the city of Lockdown. That person will be made a witch and will be guided directly by the magic chancellor. That person was Nora.
Asylum seekers like them are very concerned about their neighbors. The high concern grew on the basis of the equality of fate they faced. As victims of the war were expelled from their respective countries. He settled down and sought refuge in the valley of the city of Lockdown.
Even if there is only one person among the hundreds who seek asylum in the city of Lockdown who can enter the city. They will all be happy and happy, at least people who enter the city can help them later.. Helping the younger generation in the hope that the people who entered the city could convince the magic chancellor to provide protection for all of them within the city and let their descendants into the city.
There were already a few people who had managed to enter the city before Nora. They were all chosen people who were qualified to become direct disciples of the magic chancellor.
No one knows the characteristics or requirements to be able to enter as a nope into the city of Lockdown. All were chosen by the magic chancellor. The only thing that is certain is that all the chosen are young women.
Others same. Not looking at race, not looking at body shape, not looking at the shape of the face and not looking at offspring. The young woman was chosen at random. At least that's what the asylum seekers know about this.
Another reason why they could feast so fervently when one of them was chosen to enter the city was the direct order of the magic chancellor.
They were told to have fun. They were served good food that they had never eaten, they were given the most delicious liquor. So much to fulfill their desires. Just to throw a party. A party to take off one of them. The party for the election of one of them, elected to be on the side of the magic chancellor.
Festively, the sound of strings mixed with singing sounded boisterous. Not melodious, the important thing can make a rowdy. They all ate the food with great pleasure. Laugh while crying. Laugh at how they are feeling right now and cry at the loss they are feeling.
They blend in with each other, there's no difference. Although their population was reduced by half due to the massacre the night before. But, the excitement still felt.
Among all of them, the main character of the cause of this party goes on walking while peddling food that he carries sustainably on both hands. It was none other than Nora.
Although sad because of the loss of his brother, still he can not stem happy today. When everyone is partying for his real self again he can get inside the town of Lockdown.
"Mr Miu.. Come on, please take the meat loaf."
"It's for you Giro."
How happy Nora is to share food and drinks. He smiled at anyone he met and greeted anyone he saw at the party today.
"Hey everything. Looky. That's the main character." Someone shouted while pointing towards Nora.
Nora smiled happily.
"Repeated to Nora.." Said another man in a loud voice.
"Yinjayy.." Everyone raised a glass and looked towards Nora. They all look happy.
Not far from the excitement, Richard observed while holding a glass filled with red wine. "Any right?" Richard turned towards the voice he heard.
"Dwarf Grandpa." Said slowly.
"You might be weird to see this sight. But this is what happens when the magic chancellor announces that one of us can enter Lockdown." Richard did not respond to Grandfather Dwarf's words. He turned back to look at the crowd dancing while drunk.
"You know Red.. Nora is not the only person called to enter the city of oleg chancellor magic. There had been a few people before who had entered the city. Although they never heard from again, but we really hope that all of them who enter the city and become students of the magic chancellor can persuade the magic chancellor to let us all enter. A biased expectation that we still dream of to this day. " The Dwarf Grandfather did not stop talking.
"A strong hope is always a cure to rise." Richard knew the situation.
Grandfather Dwarf looked over. "Yes.. Such is. For all of us. Nora and the chosen nope are hope. Hope for our grandchildren." Reciprocity.
Although it looked lively, none of the magic knights got late in the party. They all just watched from far away. Their job is to keep and provide food for the nope. They don't blend in, but they help the nope.
If it wasn't for them, the nope wouldn't have partied so soon. With magic, they rebuilt tents and semi-permanent buildings in just a short time. Treat the wounded with magic and bury all the corpses of the ex-slaughter that happened overnight. With magic, they actually conjured up the area of battle and the ravaged slaughter into a visible place before the attack took place.
Not far from the party, in a luxurious tent. Master Cliverd and his subordinates were sitting down, they were enjoying a top grade red wine whose taste and quality was higher than what they gave the nope for partying.
"Hwahaha.. The nope looks stupid." Someone laughed while gulping down his red wine.
"They can be that happy just because of the leftovers we give them. Only with simple magic can we make the food almost rotten look good in front of them all. Even if it's just an illusion."
"Dasarrr.. Hwahaha."
The magic knights were heard mocking the nope who was currently partying. They all demean the nope so much.
"You know how else. I'm actually so sick of seeing them all laugh like that. But, this is the chancellor's order of magic." Master Cliverd muttered, he moved the glass glass and inhaled the scent of red wine.
Back to the party, yes the party.
This supposed happy-ending party will soon end horribly. At least it was not realized by all of them.
Nora who had been walking around peddling food in the crowd was seen approaching towards Richard and the Dwarf grandfather. "Grandfather, Mr. Red. Please eat." He smiled cheerfully.
"I'm sorry I'm not hungry." It was Richard who smelled a strange smell.
"Mr Richard, I don't know if you smell this pungent smell, too. But it looks like the food that Nora's under is really rotten." Woli approached and whispered to Richard.
Richard glanced at Woli. "This werewolf, he still won't walk away from me." He murmured in his heart. "But what he said was true as well. Even the wine I hold is also slightly salty on my tongue." Richard frowned, looking unconvinced.
"Mr Richard.." Nora's rebuke makes Richard stop thinking about the strange things that Woli said to him.
Many times Richard had told Woli to stay away but still he was determined to follow Richard wherever Richard went.
As a shed werewolf who is famous for his keen sense of smell. Woli is very greedy towards good food looks unappetizing with the food and abundant in front of him. He smelled a bad stench, it kept him away from the party crowd.
If the valley area of Lockdown city is rowdy alan afternoon party. Then it was different from the tense situation that existed within the magic chancellor's castle.
Right in the middle room of the castle is a simple magic chancellor. The holy knights who had been waiting for a careful answer listened to the story of the witch's past and of course waited for an explanation of what the chancellor would do with anne.
Although the magic chancellor had already explained at length to them about Anne's condition, it seemed that they were not satisfied. Especially, Smits who was still unsure of his intuition.
"I've told you everything. There's nothing more you want to say now." Firmly Chancellor of magic.
"It's not something I expected.. Even though I'm lazy to do this. So I beg you to finish the bases." Firmly Smits undauntedly stared at the magic chancellor.
The other holy knights saw the tension between them both becoming more and more. "Patty.. Not enough is enough!" Said Ivy worried there would be a showdown.
The magic chancellor stared intently. Shortly afterwards he laughed out loud. "Whahahahahahah, it's been a long time since I've seen such a young man's gaze." He said while holding his stomach. "You're so funny." He said once more.
"I'm not joking around here. So shut up don't look at me like that old granny." The solemn greeting with those sharp eyes silenced the magic chancellor.
"Games!" Ivy was prepared if this grace situation would lead to a fight.
Even with the followers of the magic chancellor who was also in the room. A moment of silence came to the moment the sound of footsteps distracted them.
"Anne.." Rebecca looked at the woman who was walking over, along with Gerald.
"Hi everybody. Sorry to make you worry." His words were embarrassed.
That subtle greeting changed the tense situation, melting the atmosphere that was about to explode.
Rebecca and Ivy approached Anne, hugging Anne and checking on her condition. Make sure Anne's okay and unharmed.
"I'm fine." Said Anne.
"Mom took good care of me. Sorry to bother you guys, because of my curse. I dragged you here." Said Anne who convinced Smits.
The chancellor with a flat face walked out of the middle room. "I've said what you want to hear. If you don't believe me, ask Anne yourself." He stepped up, then continued. "I have important business, if your dealings with Anne are over. Please leave this town." The chancellor of magic passed leaving Anne and the holy knights.
Stunned smits. He wasn't sure, but he couldn't avoid it if the person in front of him right now was really Anne. Although he was still unsure of the reality, but Anne who was currently greeting them was indeed really Anne. At least that's how he feels.
The Magic Chancellor along with some subordinates and his personal bodyguards walked out of the middle room. "Chancellor, soon the subject of the magic core will be secured." Said one of his subordinates.
"Immediately bring the subject to the magic defense room. We're gonna need it to recharge a real city that's gonna run out."
"Ready to the chancellor."
"What about her? Is it able to break through his defenses?" The chancellor asked his other subordinates.
"It looks like we'll be able to enter his subconscious tonight Chancellor." Reply under.
"Anne Drigory's.. God fucking. If it wasn't for Emma's magic. I will be eternal. Perhaps I will also defeat the demon lord with a great empire by then." He remembers his past.
